Best Sabers Ever

I have several lightsabers from Theory. Most are replicas, and all are top tier. I've been collecting for 6 years and have bought from all the major guys in the Lightsaber business. TheorySabers is my absolute favourite, so much so that I have bought them as gifts for several people. Thy sometimes aren't super-fast with replies, but I have never sent an email that wasn't answered. 10/10 experience every time.

This is my first light saber purchase…

This is my first light saber purchase that wasn't a kids toy, genuinely I bought my mystery box, trusting the force would provide and it did. I love the design and the feel of the handle, every time it lights up the smile on my face. This has been as close to that childhood dream of owning a lightsaber that I can afford and I am saving up for another one. Thank you

Five Months of Unresolved Issues and a Misleading Public Response

I have been communicating with Theory Sabers since July 14, and as of December 22, this remains unresolved.

Before purchase i sent 4 emails confimring eligibility, After purchase, I sent 16 emails, 6 of which went unanswered. My initial issue was clearly documented early on: two training sabers were missing. Later, issues with the primary saber were also raised, and video evidence was provided.

Over time, my concerns were mischaracterized, and I was told certain problems were a “design feature.” One response stated that if the saber could not be fixed, disposing of it was “my choice,” which I found unprofessional.

I later dealt with Jahmade, whose communication focused more on prompting a review than resolving the underlying issues. Months later, Cody (General Manager) contacted me claiming a full review of the correspondence had been completed; however, his response missed key emails, including the original message documenting missing items. When this was pointed out and even they confirmed it in the emails, I asked for resolution and accountability, but communication stopped.

I want to be clear: I see many customers with positive reviews and good experiences, and it appears some people receive excellent sabers. You may get lucky. However, based on my experience, if your saber has issues, resolution is extremely difficult to obtain.

At this point, after five months, I believe a resolution is unlikely. If that changes and this is handled properly, I will return and update this review accordingly. If not, I want other customers — especially fellow Star Wars fans — to be aware before spending significant money.

I was a fan of Theory since 2018, and this was my first lightsaber purchase. I specifically chose their higher-priced options and promotions expecting quality and support. The overall experience was deeply disappointing.

Theory Sabers is a scam

Theory Sabers is a scam. They have zero integrity. They’re happy to take your $1,000 but make you email their useless customer support daily for delivery. They don’t respect their customers, show zero intention of resolving issues. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THESE CONMEN.

Terrible! Buyers Beware!
Theory Sabers is good at taking your money, but when issues arise, they want nothing more to do with you and won't help to resolve it. Dealt with Sam at the start and then when an issue arose, he stopped responding to my emails. Very poor customer service and I essentially lost almost $200 on a saber that is faulty and doesn't work. Save your money and go to a company that actually looks after their customers because Theory Sabers is definitely not that company. Very disappointing!

Wish I didn't have to write this...

Update 11/11/2025. Thank you to Cody the customer sales manager for straightening out the issue. I finally received my 5 sabers on 11/7/2025, two months after ordering them on 9/9/2025. The issue ultimately was poor handling by the one CSR who put me in a never-ending re-shipment loop.

Jahmade, Just a thought. Seeing as I had no issues receiving the other three orders I placed after this large one on 9/9... Can we cancel this order? I will in turn then place 5 individual orders for the same sabers. Maybe China has an issue with the size of the order and are shying away from shipping the materials. Or maybe one of the hilts is on backorder...Again, just a thought. Also just wanted to say I appreciate all that you guys do. Support has been top-notch.

Did you check to see if the order has been fulfilled? That's going to be a $225 cancellation fee. I also had not said "go ahead and cancel". I was merely asking a question. The only reason I even asked the question is because the order was placed 36 days ago.

Do not expect help if there is a problem

Started of by taking over a month to even ship, when i finally received the emperor saber it wasn't working. Also enquired about how i got a higher number than the guy that waited over an hour and got no. 66 and i ordered in the 1st minute and got no.179. Theory said the quicker you order the lower number you get, their reply was we have been clear and transparent with everything. Just refused to answer me as if that was an explanation.
Then i had back and forth sending pictures and videos until i was asked to send it up to a guy in Scotland since i live in the UK to fix it. He asked me to send it by recorded royal mail and send receipt so they could reimburse me through paypal.
After he received saber, said it was a faulty SD card and would send for parts to fix it after about another month i eventually get my saber sent back.
Still no refund for me sending by mail, loads of excuses they are busy with conventions and now no communication at all. This was a total of about 3 months from ordering to getting saber returned in working order.
A few days of use and now the speaker sounds distorted when i swing the saber, have tried to get back in touch with Theory not just about refund for postage but for issue with sound and no response.
Sorry for long review but it's still not as long as the crap you will go through if you have a problem with a saber from this company, pure disgrace, even Disney would be better than them lol.

5 stars. Got my proffie hilt in perfect condition. Blade fit in nice and the tutorial on his site on how to use the 2 button had me easily using all of its incredible features. The 20+ exclusive sound fonts brought back childhood memories (especially due to the originals pack). I was completely shocked by the level of quality. Once again, 5 stars.

Ran into the same issue as another poster (FREEDOM CODE scam)


Ran into the same issue as another reviewer about the buy 1 get 2 Freedom code sale in July 2025. Was able to go through the entire process, use the FREEDOM Code with no errors only for the person I gifted the saber (birthday gift to only receive one.

When contacting Theory Sabers I was given some spiel about need to purchase a different code then what is displayed on the website and the exact button I pushed to select the buy 1 get 2 free promotion did not specify this during purchase nor was an error message given.

Sent emails to their support team only to get some of the worst customer service ever. My brother (the giftee) has decided he does not want the saber due to the shady dealings and we are in the process of having the saber returned, eating a 10% restocking fee and being told the refund will be sent via PayPal (when that was not the method it was purchased).

TLDR?
BUYER BEWARE!!!!
DO NOT SUPPORT THEORY SABERS

I've even gone so far as to unsubscribe from his Youtube channel. Might not be much, but I can't support some one whose business deals in these types of practices.

Saber doesn't work. Terrible customer service.

Never left a review before, ever. The saber came and didn't work out of the box. Customer service told me to charge the battery and put it on the saber and obvious stuff like that. They had me pay to ship it to their repair guy. He sent it back with no note or info at all, just like I had packed it. It still didn't work so their repair guy apparently did nothing. Then customer service told me to open the battery pack and check the wiring, as if I'm an electrician all of a sudden. Then thru had me order a new battery through Amazon. Still didn't work but I got fed up with their run around and terrible advice. Now I have a decorative saber that doesn't turn on. Disappointing.

Extremely disappointed! Lost a customer and a fan!

Extremely disappointing — multiple misleading statements, no delivery, no refund, and no effort to make it right

I'm a disabled veteran, and my son—who is a college student—saved for months to surprise me with Obi-Wan’s Episode III Negotiator 3 lightsaber for Father’s Day. We’ve supported Theory Sabers for years, and this was meant to be a special gift. Sadly, what we got was a string of excuses, delays, and no accountability.

The order was placed in May 2025, with a clearly advertised 7–14 business day delivery window. That timeframe came and went. The order never updated to "shipped," and my son received repeated reassurances that the delay was “being looked into.” Then they sent a tracking number — which ended up being for a package delivered to the wrong city and state. They called it a "system error" and said a replacement would ship. That never happened.

He followed up multiple times, and always got the same "please allow 24 to 48 hours for a response" — but no answers other than the same "we're looking into it". On June 27, he finally submitted a formal cancellation request, which is his right under the FTC Mail Order Rule. That same day, the owner of Theory Sabers replied directly, claiming the order had already shipped. But no tracking number was ever produced to prove it. If it had shipped, it would’ve been simple to provide that information.

My son gave them one last chance to do the right thing — a deadline of COB July 1 to either provide a valid tracking number that predated the cancellation, or issue a full refund. Nothing came. After exhausting every reasonable attempt, he had no choice but to initiate a chargeback with his credit card provider.

I truly appreciate my son's heart and his effort — but I’m extremely disappointed in Theory Sabers. Especially that even after the owner got personally involved, he still dodged the issue and never once tried to make it right.

If you're expecting honesty, reliability, and respect as a customer, this isn’t the company. I wish that weren’t the case — but based on what we experienced and the other reviews we’ve now seen, purchasing from Theory Sabers is a gamble.

4 stars only because I love Theory so much. I feel the product is worth the money. There are 4 issues, otherwise I would have rated 5 stars. I should have given less stars.

“A saber is only as good as its toolkit, which is why each Theory Saber comes with everything you need to maintain your saber and forge your destiny.” Except a charge block. And this wouldn’t be a problem if the saber didn’t require a 5v 1a charge.

Instructions are not specific to your saber. I understand if they can’t ship with a booklet covering your exact saber. The instructions for your specific saber should be available and easily accessible on the website. They aren’t.

The shipping policy is contradictory. “ At Theory Sabers, we are dedicated to ensuring a positive delivery experience. However, once a package has been handed over to the shipping carrier, we cannot be held responsible for parcels that are lost, stolen, or damaged during transit.” Cool beans. “ Once tracking information has been provided, any disputes or claims regarding the package must be addressed directly with the shipping carrier. By placing an order, you agree to these terms.” At least with fedex tracking information is provided as soon as a label is created. A label being created is not a product being shipped. It is not a product being handed over to the shipping carrier. This leaves room for possible abuse by the seller.

When you provide tracking information you should state the carrier. You shipped the product with fedex. Why do I have to search the tracking number to find out the carrier so I can actually track it?

There was a long video with Theory defending his store and product. I wish I could believe it all. You are most of the way there, just a few things to iron out.

I don’t like having to buy additional things for a product advertised as everything I need is included. I like products that provide instructions specifically for my purchase, somewhere. Shipping policies that contradict themselves and could be used to scam or blow off customers are not professional. I should not have to cross reference my tracking number to find out who is the carrier, so I can actually track my package. You should just tell me.

It's fake

It's fake. I originally thought TheorySabers was affiliated with SaberTheory, but I soon realized they are completely different stores. The name is misleading and can easily confuse customers looking for the legitimate brand. If you're searching for SaberTheory, double-check the website before making a purchase to ensure you're buying from the right store.

"Dropshipping" Scandel.

These Sabers are purchased through a Chinese company called 'TXQ', Theorysabers just adds some audio effects, If you want essentially the same product for 50% of the price buy it directly from TXQ. I'm not going to discourage the company, you could say they are selling a better product, but the price doesn't reflect the effort whatsoever.

Excellent quality and quick delivery

The Sabers are excellent. The quality is brilliant and the prequel sound package is so much fun to play around with. I ordered my saber and 8 days later it arrived in an awesome box with printed instructions. Couldn't be happier.

Amazing quality

amazing quality saber and amazing customer support.

saber: has a nice feel and grip with enough weight to help balance the blade when swinging it around. nice saber sounds and comes with gesture controls allowing easy and quick setting changes and colour changes.

customer support: my saber came with a talisman attachment that loops around the butt of the hilt. being heavy handed I damaged this. contact customer support and they arrange a new talisman to be sent out for me.

11/5 will be buying another one in future.
