When you're buying and / or selling a house, it's a minefield of legal jargon, questions, paperwork and waiting....
This is the 2nd time we've commissioned T&T to act for us and for the 2nd time it was flawless.
Bev quite simply made it easy. Always available for a call (or call back) walked us through the requirements, explained things in layman's terms and basically did everything on time and with a smile. Friendly, professional and helpful in what can be a stressful time. No stress here!

My wife and I completed our Wills with Thomas and Thomas Solicitors today, dealing with India Ford.

India provided us with a thoroughly professional service giving quality advice. The whole experience, which we thought might be a daunting one, turned out to be anything but. India was so patient and friendly throughout our appointments and she has definitely mastered her brief.

I would recommend using the service of Indian Ford at Thomas and Thomas Solicitors in a heartbeat. You would not be disappointed!

Well, where do I start??!! How about with the two positives.....Jess was always very nice to talk to, lively and pleasant. The receptionist is an absolute diamond, and was more help than the solicitors!

Now for the bad. I can't write everything, as Google itself won't have enough memory space for all of it, but here goes.
1. I've read reviews stating that the director is obnoxious, loud, has a bad attitude, talks over people and cuts people off mid-sentence. Yes, that's all true!!
2. Thomas and Thomas insist on using the Credas app to verify identity and sources of funding. I tried this app 20 times, succeeding just twice. The app would simply re-start itself half way through, losing all the pre-inputted information. "Come to the office and we'll do it" was the solution.....well, at least at the 8th time of them trying it was, as it quit 7 times on them as well. One solicitor there even said "why can't we just have passports like we used to?" Why indeed?!
3. As part of my funding, my dad had to prove his identity and source of funds. "You'll need your last three months payslips to do that" was the line fed to him. "But I've been retired THIRTEEN YEARS" he responded. "We'll still need them I'm afraid, or there'll be nothing more we can do." I'll let you work that one out. (we never did supply them, so goodness only knows what that was all about.)
4. Then came the paperwork with the wrong purchase price on it (admittedly I didn't tell them, as it was five grand less than I was due to pay.) They finally noticed though, so had to reproduce them, putting everything back another week. I even tried to speed-up the process and hand deliver the new ones to their main office in Port Talbot, rather than wait for the post. It didn't work.
5. Due to all fuss, running around and IT that didn't work, I had a total of 3 completion dates. Finally at approx 15:00 on the third date, I had a phone call from the sellers' Estate Agent, telling me I could collect the keys from them. The call containing the "great news" came from Thomas and Thomas 40 minutes later. It was like your nan ringing to wish you good luck in your football game, after you've already lost three nil!

Needless to say, I hope you never have the same experience as me.

Have just competed our house purchase through Thomas and Thomas Solicitors, we have found them to be professional at all times and prompt with responding to enquiries as well as passing on of information to us.

The Team really had their work cut out in the conveyancing for my sale. It was such a frustrating process with enquiries from the buyer being sent through piecemeal and a very significant request being made by them at the 11th hour which threw the whole process back and delayed it by a further 90 days.

I lost out on a house which I had put an offer on as they understandably needed to move on with their own lives so the whole process was distressing for me but also for the team I think!

There were multiple occasions where the buyers solicitor would say that they hadn’t had communication or information etc but my solicitor was so organised and professional that they were able to provide a spreadsheet as evidence to the contrary!

The buyer’s solicitor also had a habit of communicating vital information via the agent and not directly with my solicitor which was tricky to navigate and I am saddened to see a negative review on here by someone else in the chain for whom my solicitor didn’t act. They seem to have made my solicitor the target of their frustration and much of the information they have shared is erroneous and they seem to lay the blame for the delays at my solicitor’s door. This couldn’t be further from the truth- my solicitor and team were incredible and I remain forever grateful to them for getting me through such an ordeal and securing the sale against all odds! Huge thanks.
