I love the Tovala oven, which simplifies the cooking process by controlling the timing and temperatures involved, as well as the various cooking styles available, such as baking, broiling, toasting, air frying, and reheating. Most of the meals are terrific, and the food is high-quality. I really appreciate the individualized packaging of the food items, including spices and sauces, so that I have control of what I add and how much of it I use. The deliveries are almost flawless, and the packaging demonstrates Tovala's commitment to protecting the environment. I have been extremely happy with almost all of my experiences since I started using Tovala in January of this year,

We originally started ordering due to a Trial and then a surgery situation, which I was going to be out of commission in kitchen. Husband was able to do and happy with results. We like the foods, except I wish some substitutes for diabetic & GF would be available.

after 6 months experience , IMHO, the tovala meal service is worth it -- the quality of the meals is better than what we could do-- it is restaurant quality --the selection is always excellent -- the preparation is minimal, well laid out, and allows for the user to tweak the final result to match their tastes -- my wife can cut down on the spicy elements without losing all the flavor -- the process of selecting and ordering meals becomes part of your weekly schedule -- the ability to alter the number of meals you order to include zero - skipping a week -- allows you to really customize the process to your needs -- the cleanup is trivial -- is it more expensive than cooking yourself -- yes -- is it more expensive than going out - no -- when we factor in the convenience, the ease of preparation, the minimal cleanup, making the "what's for dinner ?" ordeal as simple as opening up the fridge and picking out a box -- and 30min later eating a great meal -- for an older couple -- it is worth each and every penny.

The food plan is easy simple and oh so delicious. The ingredients are high quality and it simply takes 20 minutes or less and your dinner is ready. My delivery day is always Tuesday so we now know every Tuesday is “Tovala Tuesday “!!! Don’t forget the extra add-ons my favorite are the chocolate chip cookies and definitely the appetizers “southwestern chicken egg rolls OMG amazing!!! I can’t say enough, it’s easy my granddaughter can do it herself and it literally looks like a chef prepared the meal. You can even skip a week or a couple months, pause your subscription or cancel all on the app! I’ve had a minor shipping issue and Tovala took care of the problem immediately! That definitely was a plus.

My wife and I have really enjoyed using Tovala. We try to cook healthy meals from home, generally make everything from scratch (even mayonnaise). But that's time consuming and we're both working professionals who work from home. So now we "conserve" our energy for big homemade meals and just rely on Tovala. For us, a weekly shipment for 8 meals is comparable to what I would have spent in groceries and now I get my time back in terms of prepping, cooking & cleaning up. We also have an 18 month old toddler, and our goal has been to consistently provide variety in terms of food tastes and textures. I would never have cooked "Israeli couscous" for example, but we ordered that via Tovala and I'm glad she got to try it. The oven performs well. We had an issue with the first oven and customer service took care of it and sent us a new one. Some of the meals have been incredible. Some of the meals have been underwhelming. There is always good variety. We eat everything, but from what I can tell, there are very few vegetarian/vegan options. Meal selection is easy. Skipping weeks if you're traveling is also super easy. This option feels superior to competitors because the "smart" cooking option works well and the prep to cook a meal is genuinely minimal.

The food quality, easy preparation, and excellent personal communication - Tovala has my vote, and I've tried many meal delivery services. A+

Love the oven and can be used for more than just their meals. Meals change weekly and offer good selection of proteins. Meals are minimal prep and take 20 minutes or less. Some grocery items will scan directly and number keeps increasing. Meals are less than most fast food places. Had my oven for years and best kitchen purchase I made.

The meals are appalling. I don't understand the positive reviews. A skinless piece of chicken with a smear of sauce? Three stuffed shells with tomato sauce? I am still hungry after this meal - and I am not a big eater. Tovala confirms that sauces contain high fructose corn syrup - yuck and unhealthy. Recycling is a joke - WHO is going to scrub the aluminum trays so they can be recycled? The cool paks are an environmental disaster, unless you donate to a food pantry. The foam - I don't even know what it is called? - is a huge environmental problem in itself.

These are the best meals I’ve ordered from any company. The quality and ease is so comparable to the price. I am a single woman who finds it very difficult to cook for one person. This makes it extremely easy. I would recommend 10 out of 10.

Tovala's meal kit service is a few steps above some of the other meal kits that I've used over the past 8 years. I have been ordering their meals for just over a year now. Their meals are perfect for Seniors, Singled, Disabled, People on the Go, Folks who don't like or know how to cook and so many more.
This meal service has become so important for me since due to disability, I can no longer stand to prepare meals for myself. I am someone who loved to cook, create new recipes and try new flavors. Now, I can get a meal together in a few seconds. Place it in the oven and will have a perfectly cooked delicious meal in about 20 minutes.
The Tovala Smart Oven is a high quality appliance. You can air fry, bake, broil, steam, and reheat, all in this one appliance. You can scan your recipe card, other manufacturers QR codes or create your own and the oven knows what steps to take to prepare your food.

The food arrives in individual boxes that are filled with the ingredients for you to put your meal together. This step takes all of a few seconds. Place your tins in the oven, scan the code and press start. Easy, peasy.
What is most noticeable, you are NOT eating a precooked TV dinner. You are eating a meal that is either very close or is restaurant quality.
Their menu consists of Filet Mignon, Shrimp, Hake, Salmon, Chicken, Beef, Pork, Turkey, etc for proteins. The accompanying vegetables are very fresh, precut (mostly) and ready to go. Your side dishes like mashed potatoes, noodles, Mac and Cheese, grits, pasta are hearty servings ready to be paired with the rest of your meal items.
The serving sizes are perfect for me and sometimes a bit large. I would never complain about their serving sizes being too small. The nutritional information can be found by clicking on the meal in the app and selecting nutritional information. Meals are also labled as high protein, GPL-1, Vegetarian, etc. So if you're looking for something specific they're easily found.
Each week the menu changes. There is an abundant selection. Some you can customize the protein you'd prefer. There are so many absolutely delicious menu items, that I can't wait until they come back into rotation. I find myself excited for Wednesday evenings to see what an upcoming week will have. Yes, the food is that good.
Your meats arrive in seperate cryovac packaging within your delivery box, generally ontop of the ice packs to keep them as cold as possible during shipping to keep from spoiling.
Tovala has put a lot of thought into their packaging. The boxes easily fold down to recycle. The tins can be washed and used again or recycled. The delivery box, ice packaging and insulation all are easy to break down for recycling too.
Tovala's Customer Service is outstanding. The 2 or 3 times that I needed to contact them regarding either my package being stolen, no fault of theirs, or if a meat product had been damaged in shipping, I received a quick reply and resolution. Their staff is very friendly, patient and an absolute joy to speak with via phone or email.
All in all, Tovala has been a game changer for me. Their food is top notch. Their smart oven is unlike the others on the market. It has replaced my using my stove and oven for almost all of my cooking.
