After paying subscriptions for many years I needed to claim for income support (Hospital Critical). However, I was informed that the minimum time for sickness claims is 60 days (30 day Waiting Period and a 30 day excess)
As I will be off work for only 30 days only my claim would be invalid. I feel a bit robbed to be honest. I feel this policy is for people who are made redundant for long periods only. Read the Terms and Conditions. Put your money into an investment account. It will STILL be there when you need it.

It took a lot longer to settle than the expected. I had to chase up progress. No online portal to track progress of for vets to support direct claims. Th whole service needs upgrading

I will never take out insurance with this company ever again happy too take my money bit will always find ways to not pay out in the small print avoid these my previouse insurance I never had a problem but due to company cease trading had to shop elsewhere and I mistakenly chose these BIG MISTAKE have cancelled all payments as a waste of money not there when u need it most if you must go elsewhere

I would happily use again and I would definitely recommend to anyone else.
I've had to reclaim a substantial amount of money and have found the process easy and stress free. When I've had to call Muddy Paws, it was easy to get hold of a person to talk to and when I did they were helpful, supportive and friendly.

Only one small suggestion for improvement. The online form needs to have a clear instruction to enable you to save your data input. You as would be expected, need to input a fair bit of detail which you do not neccesarily have to hand, and the form can reset and not store your input data if you take to long sourcing something. Have a save buttom or extend the timeout period.

A test of any insurer is how they respond to you in tough times and these guy did an incredible job. They were quick, concise and resolved the claim very quickly. I would highly recommend them to anyone that is looking for Pet Insurance

It was all pretty efficient and not difficult to make the claim. I’ve never made a pet insurance claim before so didn’t really know how it all worked. It would have been great to have some sort of pre-authorisation possible or some kind of indication that the claim would be accepted. It was slightly nerve racking paying out so much money on the treatment without knowing it would be covered but I guess that’s just how these things are done. Pet ownership can be an expensive business, so I’m glad I had this cover in place and the claim was accepted.

The claim was settled with great efficiency.
The only complaints are that I was charged excess twice even though the last surgery was for an ongoing claim.
Not having an online portal to login to is pretty annoying though.
