Zac has been amazing helping us choose exactly which carpets and flooring we would like for our new home, so many options and lots of colour choices to suit our requirements! Nothing was too much trouble for Zac and he was so helpful to two first time buyers with no clue on flooring or what we would need! Amazing service and would recommend to anyone looking for new flooring!

Amazing place
What a fantastic Carpet company would 💯 recommend them to anyone
I measured my carpet wrong and nothing was to much trouble for them and within half hour or this happening they was back at my house with the right size Carpet and no extra charge.

Shocking service by the fitter beware…
Shocking service by the fitter beware if you don’t tel them get rid carpet in shop they won’t. They leave mess everywhere and didn’t even fit it proper the first time had get them back. for an over priced carpet all in all bad! Go support a small business I would say…. It wasn’t my old carpet it was all the off cuts from the new one left the carpet a took the underlay????

In regards to disposing of your old carpet this is not a service we offer and we apologise for this not being made clear at the time of purchase.
Once being made aware of any fitting problems we immediately sent a fitter out to rectify this.

TL;DR: great service, quality beyond my expectation and inspired, helpful staff that helped me get the look I wanted with the stair runners. 🌟 Massive thank you to Emma in the Pontefract branch for the incredible service this year - an asset to the company! 🌟
Having had difficulty selecting my carpets and specifying the stair runners with a different branch, I tried Pontefract and was lucky to deal with Luke and Emma. Emma specifically went above and beyond to help me achieve the look I was going for (bright carpets, herringbone stair runners with black taping) and made valuable recommendations about selecting the underlay and fitting accessories (chrome door bars look so good!) without it being a blatant upsell like other carpet stores I’d already dealt with and never returned to. I’m beyond happy with the quality of the products that were selected and fitted - all looks great and it’s really transformed my living space!
Additionally, I can’t thank Emma enough for helping me organise the carpet install around a large amount of disruption.. I made the mistake of buying a newbuild from Avant Homes North Yorkshire that is overflowing with significant defects that actually blocked me for 9+ months installing the carpets - I had to live with filthy floorboards for that long.
Despite the extensive delay at the hands of Avant Homes, poor repair standard, careless management and disruption Emma went above and beyond to hold off the fitting until the property was actually ready (something that shouldn’t ever have been an issue). The amount of effort Emma put in, extensive communication and actual kindness won’t be forgotten and you just don’t get this high level of service and aftercare - I’m so grateful.
The fitting when it finally could happen was great, so a big thank you to Neil and Lee for their professionalism, care and speed too. The install is faultless!
The way United Carpets & Beds Pontefract worked with my timescale, my budget and made the experience pain-free for me during an incredibly stressful time won’t be forgotten - I will recommend you far and wide and return when my next property needs carpets! Thank you once again ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We were badly let down by another company and Zac at united carpets was really helpfull and sorted everything out as soon as we explained to him what had happened.He got in touch with Syd the laminate fitter and rather than us having to wait Syd came when he had a spare hour or so and got it done for us.Customer care was amazing and Syd was such a lovely young man. I would definitely recommend them.

Blue light Card
Emma that came to measure our floor was very approachable, we arranged for fitting and paid via phone. I was disappointed to later learn that i could have used my blue light card for 10% off. When I went into store to pick my receipt up, I mentioned that I did not know about the blue light discount and the man that served me very much gave me a 'tuff' attitude. However the guy that fitted our new flooring was great and I am overall happy with my purchase.

Emma is amazing.
Having never purchased carpet before myself and my wife were a little overwhelmed when we came in to the store. Emma and the rest of the team quickly alleviated our concerns and were just wonderful in helping us select and ultimately book our new carpet for fitting.

They came and wasn't very helpful left…
They came and wasn't very helpful left carpet in every room had to clean up after them and using inappropriate language and was ment to do two steps been in the shop and complained and they was going to ring me to send someone to do my steps and two months later still waiting for them

Great team
Great team, went into the Pontefract branch, all the team were very welcoming and friendly. They came out and measured up and gave advice the very next day, got us a quote back immediately broke down into different sections and then the carpet was all fit within a week of the original visit. Unbelievably good service!
