I purchasing a carpet for my son's box…
I purchasing a carpet for my son's box room and so decided it being so small a roll end might work out more cost effective.
I took the measurements with me which I'd measured in feet and inches but discovered I perhaps should have measured in meters. Before looking at roll ends I asked the staff member behind the counter to convert and tell me what I'd need in meters to which he calculated and told me 2.6 x 4 m
After choosing a carpet which seemed reasonable I was surprised that a £150 carpet would cost me another £130 to fit with underlay but payed and arranged to have it fitted am as early as possible (today.)
Long storey shortened the carpet fitters have just called to say 1-2pm as they know nothing about our am request, nothing noted on the receipt. I've also just checked up with measurements for the room which is 8ft 6" x 8ft only to find that I've purchased well over a meter more carpet and underlay than we needed which perhaps explains why it's cost me £280 to carpet a tiny box room.
Not at all happy with the service, I just felt that Scott the name on my receipt seemed rushed serving us and I've payed over the odds.

Fitters did a rubbish job had a oval piece in the spare bit not usable
The fitters didnt do very well near the door. The spare piece of carpet had a oval shaped cut so couldn't use it anywhere

Holiday home carpet
This was planned for a Sunday afternoon and was in my holiday home near Skipsea. The plan was to give me a call half an hour prior to arrival, this was done. The two guys turned up and were very efficient and soon had all the underlay and grippers down. On completion they assisted me in lifting the two sofas into position. This was an excellent job from placing the order to fitting of the carpet, Thankyou very much

Purchase and fitting of stairs and landing carpet

A really good experience!
The staff were really pleasant and very helpful! I found the exact carpet I was hoping for which I hadn't found anywhere else, so that was so good! The fitters were excellent and made a perfect job of laying the carpet which was not particularly straightforward.
I couldn't have asked for any better experience I can totally recommend United Carpets, Scunthorpe branch.
