Having previously ordered with this company, my order never arrived but decided to give them a 2nd chance. I made my order which stated dispatch within 48rs and waited. 9 days later still no order and on checking my account states there is a delay, but no idea of how long? This order was a Christmas present, so is now of no use. I contacted customer service who were very quick but they refused to cancel my order stating it was at “pick” stage and that if I wanted to return it, it would have to be at my own cost! Really unfair as I would never have purchased them if I knew they wouldn’t make it on time. Very disappointing.

Ordered several times from Van Meuwen, they have always been good quality, well packaged and arived on time. Thank you.

My order of 10 creeping phlox plants arrived but all were in very poor condition. Nevertheless as instructed I potted them on. Within a few weeks of receipt all 10 plants are dead. I contacted the company informing them of the situation and asked for compensation. I have not had a response to my email or received any communication from the company, very poor service. I will not be ordering from them again and will not be recommending them to my horticultural friends and colleagues.

Ordered some Tete a Tete Bulbs for the spring very quick delivery and very good quality at a very reasonable price.

Ordered two boot racks. Only one arrived, with the order note saying both had been sent. When I tried to build the one I did have, there were three faults with it. Not impressed. Only have two stars because their customer service department answered the phone quickly.

Lovely healthy plants, bargain buys and a huge range for every season, would highly recommend.

Receive regular offers from them after ordering plants previously, this one was too good to miss. 10 plants for £10(ish!). They arrived promptly and well packed. Well rooted and all in good condition. Quite dried out but think this is intentional. Planted out and watered next day and they very soon recovered. One month later and they are all flourishing and sure to give a great showing next year. So very pleased with this purchase.

I have bought previously from Van Meuwen and they have been excellent all the way round. Their plants arrive in time, in good shape and healthy with clear labelling and instructions. I have just ordered some plant roses at discounted prices and am looking forward to receiving them.

My order of lavender plug plants arrived but of the 48 plugs received 24 were in very poor shape. Within a day of receipt the 24 plants died. I contacted the company informing them of the situation and asked for replacements to be sent out. I have not had a response to my email or received any communication from the company, very poor service.

The order was delivered well packaged and the although one plant was a little sad, the other was excellent and is thriving. On contacting Van Meuwen I was assured that they needed me to be 100% satisfied and insisted on sending a replacement. It arrived and again well packaged and is now planted and looking great. Thank you so much.

Foolishly ordered plants from here again after a really bad experience in 2019. Guess what? Nothing has changed. No plants. No communication. To be fair they refunded promptly when I asked for it but I wasted weeks and didn’t get the plants I wanted. Useless company. Don’t waste your time!

I placed an order for 24 x plug plants on the 24th July with an expected delivery timeframe of 21 days, after not receiving anything or any update about my order, I called on the 29/8/21 to be told that they would be delivered in the next week; when nothing arrived and I had still not received updates, I called again on the 6/9/21 to be told they were due for dispatch and I would receive them shortly. I've checked the website several times, but no updates about my order have been provided.

I called again on the 17/8/21 where someone actually checked what was going on where I was advised they were out of stock and were probably out of stock when I ordered them, but the website hadn't been updated, quite disappointing that none of the other people I spoke to were able to give me the correct information about my order.

I've now been promised a full refund, but I'm not sure when this will arrive as none of their promises have been met yet.

I ordered from this company because they claimed on their website that they had a 5 star review on Feefo, but upon further investigation, this turns out not to be true and looking at the reviews here, is seems that I'm not the only one who has had problems ordering from them.

Please be aware before ordering from Van Meuwen!

I placed an order online on 24 June 2021. I have never received these plants and after emailing and writing a letter have just emailed yet again to try to get some response. Very poor service
I have emailed, as suggested in the response to my review, but just like other people have mentioned my email was returned marked undeliverable. Shoddy sevice.

I have given up on this branch of what I am told is part of the thompson and morgan group.
I have been sold plants that are not in stock.
Sent dead plants on several occassions.
Not received replies to emails with photographs of damaged packaging and dead plants.
Some deliveries took nearly 2 weeks from posting to arrive. No wonder the plants were dead!
No more chances to redeem themselves.
Better to buy plants from a reputable nursery than suffer the disapointment this firm offers.

1 of the 5 plants ordered arrived dead and rotting. Sent a picture to Van Meuwen, but no reply. Not the first time some plants in a batch have arrived in poor condition and no response.
Stopped using Van Meuwen.

It's been a funny year and plants ordered have struggled on delivery or late delivery but I must say they have been quick to sort out problems, I have been ordering from them for years never had to many problems and will continue to use them 😉

the first order was barely passable

the second, a quarter of the plants were missing

the third, all plants arrived practically dead and a few days later look in a very sorry state, which is what prompted me to create this review

I purchased this plant before as part of a plug plant mix. 4 years on and most of the plants are still doing well especially the Echinacea it has approx 30 blooms this year so I ordered the 24 plugs. They arrived. All healthy and were planted up the same day in terracotta pots. Almost a month on they are all doing well. I wish I could add some photos to show you!
