I think I’m SOL.

When Walmart moved out and turned it over to Fandango Vudu I could not log in to my account anymore. To top things off my email associated with my Walmart account was no longer valid. I set up a new account and tried several times to speak to CS. Finally got through to someone after several months. The rep was very polite and said it would be no problem to combine my old purchases(there are a few)into my new account. 2 weeks and still waiting.
Update 3/30/23 Vudu finally came through and merged my old account purchases to my new account!

Worst customer service ever

Worst customer service ever! Purchased a movie with my phone app three times but couldn't watch it on my TV app and they were no help! Spent a half hour on the phone and all they said was too bad.

Terrible customer service

Terrible customer service. Their system glitched and I was billed two movies and have had over five different conversations with them and keep hearing wait because it needs to be escalated. I've been a customer for years and spent hundreds of dollars here but never again.

I was very disappointed to discover…

I was very disappointed to discover that they updated things and you can no longer purchase/rent movies on any version of the app. You have to sign in online and purchase a movie there but you can’t watch it there you have to watch it on an app. They also no longer have their movies categorized making it difficult to look for a movie in the specific genre you want. This also makes it difficult to find their “free with ads” movies as I was not able to find any. This is definitely the worst upgrade I’ve ever seen if you even want to call it that. I don’t even see the point of using it anymore, it’s the most inconvenient movie app it’s not worth it when you can just click play on any other app

Peeuuw VUDU- One of the worst customer service entities I've ever encountered. They just don't care

Received a $25 gift card for VUDU for Christmas from my wife. Now let me preface by saying that I use the DVD to Cloud function they have quite a bit whereas you convert your DVD's to Cloud for a couple of bucks. I love that function! Getting back to the giftcard, I scratched off the PIN and it smeared so I couldn't read it. Used a coin and softly scratched and it still smeared. No problem (I thought) as I just figured that I contact their custermer service dept, submit a pic of the GC as I'm sure they'll want as proof and I'm good to go. Couple of days max right? NOT... Still going on after almost 6 weeks now and this after having to resubmit everything including pics as they "lost" my original request which they told me that would "escalated" immediately. I'm at a loss as to what to do but I guess I'll just wait this out as I'm clearly dealing here with people of very low customer service experience and to be fair, maybe not their fault but possibly victims of poor training if any.

Horrible company and customer service

Horrible company and customer service. I bought a tv series and some episodes don’t work while most work. I asked for a partial refund since I can’t watch some episodes. They just keep ignoring me and asking me the same information. Will never order again. POS company . I hope they go out of business.

Clarity of Account Credits and their Application Requires Resolution

I received a voucher for my initial use of Vudu's streaming service. The terms were simple enough, could not be anything presently in theaters or Premium content. I initially attempted to look up the provider of my Voucher (for all intents and purposes, Maker's Mark) and could not identify a list that was explicitly presented by this vendor. So instead, I chose a film that had been released on general streaming platforms that aligned with the terms of my voucher as they were presented. I notice later that my card had been charged for my rental. I reached out to Vudu's support. I gave them an explanation of the charges as well as proof of the voucher; a physical copy and a digital copy. They were relatively quick to get back to me, the same day initially, so I'll give them their due kudos for that. However, my problem seemed to need review by another department. This department pleasantly rejected my request and instead, sent me a link to eligible movies. Why was I not sent this link upon registering my voucher? Why was this link not listed in the terms of my voucher? My voucher is listed in my account. This seems like a simple task. Even if I could enter "Maker's Mark" in the search bar or filter the movies to present this allegedly eligible content. But to create a kind of pretense as though this link that Vudu Support sent me was always available is insulting. So now, you passively refuse to give me a refund but you also insult me as though this information was commonly accessible. Sure, it could be the fault of the vendor, but even if that were the case, the clarity of account credits and their application is something that absolutely requires resolution. So, having collected my terms and conditions, as well as additional efforts to validate my claim, I simply had to resort to AmEx to resolve the situation for me. I will promptly be canceling the account.

Word kind of explain how inept and waste of time Vudu customer service is. I spent almost 6 weeks trying to get a resolution and I honestly feel like they were just playing games the whole time. Was told I was escalated to the " highest " level of service three times and then when I call back the next time they say they're going to escalate me to the highest level of customer service it is a complete joke

Easy to use

I’ve had VUDU for ages and have it linked to Movies Anywhere so most of my digital content is available on multiple services. I find it very convenient and user friendly plus it uses less bandwidth than some (especially since you can choose video quality) so it’s the primary app we use to watch owned content. We’ve rented a movie a couple of times, purchased a few, and watch some of the free movies if something interesting pops up. I always check my library before buying any new physical or digital movies so haven’t had an issue with accidentally buying doubles since that can happen if it’s a different resolution. They had a bit of a downtime issue recently but I found the info online so just waited it out and used another streaming service. I like that I can download movies to watch or listen to on long trips. I’m not crazy about losing Walmart instawatch or that some content won’t share with Movies Anywhere but I think the latter issue is because the movies aren’t available on that platform. I can’t remember a single time we’ve had to call customer service so I can’t speak to that but considering we are older folks who haven’t had any issues requiring assistance says something…

I have been a loyal Vudu costumer since 2012
with over 4250 titles in my library.

November 5, I purchase a title that I had previously purchased. The system is not suppose to let you purchase the same title twice.
I noticed and contact costumer service within an hour.
I was told my case was going to be escalated.
I received a response today (27 days later)
telling me that because my purchase was part of a mix and match it can not be refunded.
The fact that it was a duplicate purchase, that should have never happened was never addressed.

It really leaves a bad taste in your mouth!

Luis.so special

I had wonderful patient young man name Luis. He was patient. I thought I lost all the downloads I bought. He reassured me not to worry. He a good teacher to help me get exactly what I need. I wanted to adopt him. Up until then it was a stressful day. So his help changed it to a wonderful day for me. That Luis is the whole package!!! REF #20221111-5E4IOW. I Prayed before i called Vudu. Blessing from Jehovah and Jesus🙏🙏🙏

30 days of bs

I purchased an hdx title a few months prior to the release of a 4K title (uhd). I was told since I did not purchase it the last 30 days i would have to purchase again at full price. Apple upgraded for free with no hassle. The second issue was somehow charged for the same movie twice with the exact same quality, no difference at all but didn’t know this this until i questioned. Same situation. They would not refund or credit me because of this 30 day nonsense. They solve zero issues when I contact support. They are one of the worst companies to deal with for support. Apple is a much better streaming platform due to this. I hate Vudu

Contacted VUDU customer service twice…

Contacted VUDU customer service twice about converting account from Walmart to the new Fandango Vudu site and they gave me reference numbers for each call with promises that the conversion team would contact me but they haven’t responded. I even had the customer service send me an email confirmation and after failing to follow through, I emailed them back and as of this review (4 days later) they have not responded. Not very customer friendly. I had around 200 movies/series in my Vudu acct that cannot be accessible through them until resolved. Wouldn’t recommend them to anyone. Use another service that cares.

VUDU will screw you over

VUDU will screw you over. You stay a loyal customer for over 10 years and then they remove the option to download content to your pc laptop for offline travel viewing. When you contact their support team, and try to navigate the language barriers, you are simply told that you agreed to the updated terms and conditions and to go buy an Apple product or use your cell phone for viewing only. I bought the movies. I signed up under the premise that I could download to my pc. If you don't want to give me that option anymore, then refund me all my purchases.

VUDU Sharply Declined

I have been a VUDU customer for many years. I have over 2700 movies there. They have the largest selection of movies to choose from with the possible exception of iTunes.
That is about it for praise because Fandango has destroyed any other positives that were once there.
1. Their customer service is virtually non-existent. Wait times over an hour on the phone. Unanswered emails. Rude representatives.
2. Quality control. Their apps *Smart TV and phone (android) are more buggy, as is the website. Login problems. MA movies ported to VUDU not available after purchase. Movies bought at HD later downgraded to SD. The list goes on.
3. Even though I have gigabit internet, I sometimes get buffering but it is difficult to pin that on VUDU. So, I switch to another service like Prime Movies... no buffering. Back to VUDU... buffering. Even so, VUDU blames it on something else. They are experts at the tech support shuffle.
As a "reward" for their poor practices and disregard for their obligations to their customers, I no longer buy movies from VUDU but I watch my movies almost exclusively on VUDU. All of the expense, none of the profit.
It is a risky proposition if this approach were to catch on. If VUDU closed down, I would lose over 600 movies, but it would be worth it to me. I used to love VUDU when Walmart owned it but I have come to despise VUDU Fandango.

Called many times

Called many times, selected multiple options to possibly speak to someone. After 15 minutes I hung up. Sad to say I've been a customer since 2010, with over 400 movies in my library. Sad!!
