Stayed at Heythrop Park. Was a very expensive two night stay and I’m afraid it wasn’t worth it! Food was average, drinks extortionate, wanted £20 to reserve seats for entertainment because it wasn’t b... Voir plus

We spent 3 nights at Little Cote House…
We spent 3 nights at Little Cote House Hungerford for Twixmas 27 Dec to 29th December 2024, and we had a whale of a time. This was our 2nd time there the previous time was a Birthday surprise, we all had a lovely time on both occasions. We went with our Son and daughter in law it was their 11th time there, I think that says it all. Lovely friendly staff, good food, plenty to do or just chill, it’s up to you. The entertainment was great, and the Panto being an adult Panto was side splitting never laughed so much. Thoroughly recommend Little Cote, we can’t fault it. Can’t wait to go again, its steeped in History and the Old House which is haunted must be visited its on site. Just one only complaint, wine is really expensive per bottle. Other than that loved it. Thanks Warners
HOLIDAY THAT NEVER HAPPENED
Unable to travel on the day we had booked our holiday. A amber warning was in place in our part of the county.
roads were flooded and visibility nil. Rang Warners to be told if we didn't arrive on the day our room would not be kept. I was offered a £600 towards another holiday for the following year. I had thought a admin charge but to lose £800 and need to pay another £800. for the same holiday . We are both in our 80years . Never use them again
Black Friday Scam
I booked a December break during Warners Black Friday deal, feeling pressure to book before the deadline to get this ‘great deal’. I felt very deceived to discover that had we waited a few days until 04 December the price would have been cheaper and included a free room upgrade and free payment protection. Very deceitful marketing by what I had perceived as a fairly reputable company.
On raising this issue with customer services, a team leader advised me that they have many deals that change throughout the year. She felt the fact that the deal improved immediately after Black Friday weekend, was acceptable business practice. I feel the Black Friday deal was a scam and not fair marketing practice, I will be referring this to Trading Standards for their input.
Runnymead
Very average I'm afraid.
Just back from stay at new Runnymead. This is an honest review.
The good.
Location to M25 and Windsor, Kew, Hampton Court.
Food and service in the Brassiere 32
Refurbishment and rooms. We had Superior upgrade.
In the summer position by the Thames.
The not so good.
Lack of heating in main public areas.
A lot of young inexperienced staff, trying hard but no real training.
Numerous billing issues , which eventually were sorted but shouldn't of happened in the first place.
Lack of suitable car parking and having to use churned up grass , not ideal for winter.
Main bar closed to public for 4 hours while they held a corporate event.
Entertainment amateurish apart from one singer.
Overall wouldn't return and not value for money.

Currently staying at The Runnymead (New to warners ) Hotel. On arrival it doesn’t have the same feel to other Warners that we have stayed at, maybe as it is new and everything needs to settle a bit. Some of the Hotel has been completely refurbished and it is lovely, the Reception bar area still looks like it needs work. The staff so far have been friendly and helpful. Our room is adequate but a little on the small side. Food has , so far been tasty and it is nice to have a choice of restaurants. Lovely location, I expect the summer here is amazing. Now for the not so good bit. We received our statement this morning itemising what we have had so far ( drinks, lunch etc) and then an extra 10% added as service charged, apparently a new thing for Warners. Now I am usually a good tipper but the way in which they have chosen to apply this seems sneaky. A lot of people who come to Warners regularly, are older and the fact that they are loyal, probably like us do not read the welcome pack which is where they have this information so the service is applied. I was so annoyed at this I decided to delve a bit deeper and found out that it is discretional but unless you read the info pack you will not know this. We then asked reception to take this off our bill which they said they would do. Warners, if you are going to do this, you need to be very upfront about it, it has tarnished how we feel about staying with you in future, if you change things too much, you will loose your loyal holiday makers. We have in the past flown the flag for you and recommended Warners to others, not so sure we will in the future.
Check all the facilities are open before you book
Booked a mini break on 5th Sept and paid in full. The following day Friday 6th at 5.30 they sent me an email explaining that due to planned maintenance all of the leisure facilities would be closed ! Their phone lines close at 5pm
Due to go in less than 2 weeks and it is for a special wedding anniversary.
Warners never again
Shocking prices, shocking service, terrible staff, managers even worse. What more needs to be said.
Fleas in our room
Fleas in our room. Left a day early because of this. Reported it to reception they were more interested in taking money than our distress. also tried every way to contact them to complain and just one barrier after another put in way. Latest on their form put in post code, I did every way I could think of but still kept coming up put in valid postcode. You think taking £200 of pensioners is bad see the markup on bottles of wine.
Never again.
Watch your credit card bill weeks after leaving the hotel
We stayed at Heythrop Park for 3 nights from 5 July -9 people - 6 rooms. All bills were put on the “family “ credit card (mine) and when we left the various room bills were agreed ( a few days later due to their chaotic charging system) and that was that - or so I thought!!!!
But tonight whilst reviewing my credit card bill on the app lo and behold Heythrop Park had submitted a bill for a further £150. It was late so had a “chat” online with my credit card provider as the payment was in pending I decided to cancel that card ( a new one will appear in a few days) to stop this stupidity- well trying to talk with anyone at this hotel is hopeless as they have 2 receptions - North and South both poorly manned ( yes there are people there - typically one person in each) but who have been trained in the Warner Hotels “party line”. You know what the people are great the company………..???
I fleeting saw another comment from someone regarding being charged erroneously- so at least I know I am not alone.
The problem is that Warner think they can run an “internet “ only hotel with very little actually visible on the ground management - think about it most hotels you go to you see the “management “ ( think Hale and Pace of the late 80’s early 90’s) walking around- in a Burtons suit and a Sainsbury’s tie - but none of that at Heythrop!
Sad but not surprising- we shan’t be going any where a Warner Hotel again as today’s activity is the icing on the cake.

Heythrop Park Hotel Cotswolds
Came back from an enjoyable 3 days at Heythrop Park Hotel. Beautiful hotel in lovely grounds, but it is quite spread out and changes are needed for those with disabilities/walking difficulties. The South Wing is at least a 15 minute walk to the Spa/Swimming pool. The lift doors shut after someone got out, so wheelchair got caught a couple of times. Had an accessible room but no stop on the door to hold it open, so difficult to keep door open and push a wheelchair! Only 6 disabled car parking in a huge car park which I didn't understand bearing in mind those who visit are likely to have need a space, and then there was a long walk to Reception. There was a buggy but it only carried 4 people at a time and only on changeover days - this should run all day every day covering the whole site, as it is a vast site (plus gravel paths which make it difficult to push a wheelchair). There were 3 restaurants which served a variety of good food and had friendly staff. Overall had a lovely stay but not sure would return until these issues were sorted to make it easier for those with disabilities/walking difficulties.
Alveston Hall Hotel
Alveston Hall Hotel.
Very friendly and helpful staff.
Amazing entertainment and faultless live music events.
Presentation of quality top notch food was impeccable.
Rooms are a clean, tidy and spacious.
Okay, it sounds like an advert but I can assure you it's not.
This is genuine experience from a very happy and satisfied customer.
Will definitely go again.
Littlecote House Hotelm
Stayed at Littlecote House Hotel. I could not fault it. Room food and entertainment as well as all the staff were brilliant
Heythrop take unauthorised payment of £362.08 a week after fully paid visit.
Heythrop took an unauthorised payment of £362.08 from my account a week after a fully paid visit.
I have spent two days trying to get a refund and despite being promised a call from Heythrop (only people who can help according to customer service) nothing. I have sent complaint email and intend to visit Heythrop today if no response this morning. Total lack of concern for what seems, to me, to be theft. How was my card used without my consent. Problem with Warners system or staff?
Enjoyable 3 Day Stay
3 Rd visit to Studley & it was v good. The restraunt services were very good, staff very friendly food usual high standard. Hoteli itself was very well appointed. Entertainment was brilliant - Hanna & Georgie were amazing song & dance. Murphy Celtic Legacy was a delightful story telling through dance, song & special effects. All the audience was entranced by performance, so well done. Last but not least Ryan brilliant. Thank You All The Staff at Studley
Appalling company
Appalling company. advertised prices for the so called 'live' system do not exist. Search engine does not work and staff are rude and hang up

Seating arrangement very poor placed in a corner sitting up against a fire extinguisher facing away from the stage. No room to move ended up with back ache. From this position it is not possible to see the shows without twisting your neck completely. No toast for breakfast due to no bread available, ( Fried egg and Toast wanted ) So an alternative breakfast ordered via the waiter arrived stone cold. None of my partners main evening meals or puddings were available on request though out the stay. We were unable to join in any of the activities we wanted due to already being booked on arrival such as laser gun shooting and pool aerobics. Pool very small and not heated. Poor apartment sweets on floor makeup on pillows from previous guests. Also, a good deal of mould on skirting board below the TV in the main lounge of our apartment. We book Premium at Corton and found this very poor on the 70s weekend 8th March until 11th of March.
Over-promised and under-delivered
Over-promised and under-delivered. Promises made and never delivered

Room was very average for the price we paid, and cleanliness of same was poor, I informed Reception on 3 or more occasions about it and was told each time they would get room service up, to no avail, stains on bathroom tiles around handbasin, hairs in shower tray, carpet needed hoovering, wardrobe door damaged, room standard not cleanliness comparable to a Premier Inn or Holiday Inn and we paid £800 for 3 nights, very very annoyed. Eventually a supervisor addressed part of our complaint but still the cleaning issue was ignored. I was in the room on one occasion when the house keeping staff attended but she was very quick and ignored the issue I had pointed out.
What has gone wrong!
What has gone wrong!! Been staying at Warners Hotels regularly over the last few years. Get mailers from them every week and booked a "special" deal with £100 discount. It did not say that for breakfast/dinner we would be seated next to the serving areas with people walking and queueing to get food, it was embarrassing. We booked so that my partner could get a couple of days pampering as advertised but this was cancelled because they did not have the staff. What was the point of selling your "spa/manicure etc when you cannot offer it. And the drinks have noticeably been hiked up in price over the past eighteen months. The breakfasts were poor, the food cooked and dried out in Bain Maries, the bacon like cardboard. Will not book any "special; deals" in future because you do not get the same service as you do when you pay full price. Complained to Warners but they are not interested.
