Bought from them only once.
Uneconomical.
High shipping cost to EU contry
+ Import tax + fee on under €100 order for WS goods that are available in stock from many EU resellers made my first order from WS directly to cost more than buying those goods from within an EU.
No point to keep an account active with them .

Bought a 7 inch screen for a Raspberry Pi 5. Crappy instructions but I did figure it out only to have a connector for the touch screen bend without any pressure from a cable tug and now the board connector is also damaged. I have gone back and forth with their customer service who keep stringing me along with onerous requests trying to frustrate me into submission and they have won. I give up now but will make sure i leave negative reviews for the crappy quality and poor customer support.

I paid for DHL shipping but the seller changed the courier to UPS without any notification.

Order date: February 17, 2026
UPS label created on March 2, then received the package only on March 5, almost 2 weeks later from order date.

The package finally arrived in Indonesia but delivery was delayed again because UPS considers my area a "remote area" and does not deliver daily.

UPS has very limited infrastructure in Indonesia compared to DHL, which results in unnecessary delays.

Changing the courier after the customer has already paid for DHL shipping is very unprofessional.

I’ve used a lot of different boards over the years, and Waveshare Electronics is one of those brands that feels consistently reliable. Their hardware has a solid build — clean PCBs, good soldering, and connectors that don’t feel flimsy.
Their ESP32-C5 boards are easy to work with and stable, and the Raspberry Pi CM5 carrier boards are really well thought out, especially when it comes to power, I/O access, and expandability. What stands out most is the amount of external I/O and expansion options they offer — displays, GPIO expanders, interfaces, and add-ons that actually make prototyping easier instead of more complicated. they have also good customer service , in the philippines you can use lazada for direct shipping

Bought RP2350A hours later realized I didn't actually need the item so I sent an email to request a refund not even 3 minutes later they respond and ask me to confirm if i wanted to refund since a 2.1 USD fee would be able to be refunded and I confirmed it and 2 minutes after that they said they'll arrange a refund just like that customer support was a 10/10 super fast response times!

Absolutely horrible. I placed a large order with premium shipping with fedex, they promised shipping in 4-5 working days and here I am 3 weeks later and still the product has not been dispatched and they keep making one excuses after the other. Even taking forever to cancel the order and refund. I know it is a legit company since they have several product in market but it seems they are scamming new customers

Ordered package from them registered mail. They refused to deliver to my post office box for supposedly "security reasons". Instead they wanted to switch to UPS and have it dropped off on a porch.

I declined that change and asked for my money back. They're keeping $25 for "handling".

I purchased a 7"touchscreen for my raspberry pi. Put the codes in to make it work and still got the same "black screen" result. Emailed them to try and get it programed or at least exchange it for a working one. They were no help at all, got to the point they stopped responding to my email. Did some research and I'm not the only one with this issue, seems like its a frequent thing and they don't do anything to try to fix it! Don't buy from them.

Order some items (27. sep. 2025) from them and selected UPS shipping, which I expected to have the same delivery time as from USA (3-4 days).

It is now 22. okt. 2025 and the tracking info says:
"Shipper created a label, UPS has not received the package yet."

Why the heck should I pay 40US$ for a 160$ order that would arrive at the same time as cheapest shipping price .. 6$ ?

BTW .. the same day I order from USA also using UPS . This package arrived 3 day later in Denmark.

The support helped me with my electronics issue quite quickly and when asking for an extra cable in the order, I got a mail asking whether they included the corrent one which i thought was really nice.
The product documentations are often very outdated or sometimes wrong, meaning you have to try things or hope someone else has already done so, they also havent been updated after I told the support about one mistake.

Ordered the Solar Power Manager (B), a Raspberry Pi Zero, and the Thermal Camera Hat from them on a weekend. Shipped to Germany in just over a week with consistent tracking updates by Yanwen and last-mile delivery by DHL (originally had picked UBI shipping method). Since it's directly from China it needs to pass customs and you are responsible for any fees. Despite the negative experiences others have had, I'd order from them again without thinking twice.

Customer service is awfull. I got on of their raspberry pi pico documents with an LCD, loaded their own demo program and the display didn't work.
Customer support had no answer why it didn't work and didn't want to refund me my money or send a replacemt product.

Very fast response from customer service when I wanted to cancel an order!

I asked support to advise me which GSM and E-paper HAT could be connected to a raspberry zero at the same time. Some HATs come with GPIO pins where you could place another HAT upon. I assumed the manufacturer could tell me which of their product could work together that way.

After eleven days and eight (seven further) enquiries from my side I was told it was not possible, although all through the time support claimed it was!

Very bad and cheating attempt to sell something without use to the customer!

Don't by e-paper displays from them because getting them to work is a gamble.
1. They don't specify the ID of the display module at all which is essential to find working libraries to use them. This dumb company just writes "2.9inch e-Paper Module (B)" but this is useless! We need an ID like GDEW029Z10 2.9" b/w/r 128x296, UC8151 (IL0373).
2. If they offer an example code. It only works on Arduino UNO and Raspberry. And there is no code explanation but some horribly complicated examples.
Avoid WAVESHARE at all costs if you do not want to loose hours of your life!

I love their products and I believe they put real effort into producing products. I have really enjoyed using their products designed for the Raspberry Pi family.

Ordered 100pc of e-ink displays, which arrived 6 days later with DHL, no issues, very responsive support.
