Wickes - Perth Avis 

Fantastic service, Staff went above and beyond when I contacted them to help support our local nursery project, Gemma was especially helpful in organising this and explaining how their local community project system works.

We had such a wonderful experience with this shop! The staff are incredibly kind, friendly, and genuinely helpful—they went above and beyond to support our local nursery. It’s so refreshing to see a business that truly cares about its community and takes the time to make a difference.

Their generosity and willingness to help didn’t go unnoticed, and it made a real impact on the children and staff at the nursery. We’re so grateful for their support and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone. A fantastic local shop with a big heart!

Ordered 8 x bags of compost 50l in each bag. Collected from click n collect!
The lady serving made no attempt to make conversation or make any eye contact.
Obviously no social skills?
She led me to a huge barrow with the soil on it and merely said ( there you are).
No other conversation at all!
I said is there any chance that I could have assistance I wouldn’t manage this please! She said all you had to do was ask and grinned sarcastically.
I replied surely seeing the size of my purchase I should have had the offer!
I then had to say so is it possible to get assistance? She smirked and said yes but you will have to wait we’re busy!
The store had around 6 people in and 2 people at the counter who were together!
I said what’s your name? Gemma I’m deputy manager and again smirked! I was so taken aback at her response I said I can see why your deputy manager and I meant it sarcastically!
She made no effort to even acknowledge me as a customer or to try and lighten the conversation! Disgusting behaviour from her ! Who ever interviewed her for this post must have been absolutely desperate for staff!
Professionalism she has none! Her lack of communication and leadership none!
She must drive customers away!
I was merely picking up this heavy load for my neighbour as he is elderly!
Kindness leaves a mark!
I will complain through the proper channel!
Gemma try smiling and reminding yourself lead by example! The other members of staff will look up to you and simply grunt like you at customers!
Keep clear of the Perth store it’s appalling management obviously think it’s okay to be rude to customers who keep them in a job!
I will never enter the store again!
Gemma get some respect and manners!
You certainly fall short on them!

The store is well laid out with lots of products to chose from. When I asked for advice the assistant could not have been more helpful. He went out of his way to investigate what was available in the store and how it could solve my problem. It is a pleasure to buy things here..

I had a visit from Paul from the design team at the Perth branch. He was extremely helpful, patient and informative. Thank you so much for your insightful advice.

Dealing with Donna….An absolute delight to deal with….So warm and helpful….This World needs more like her….

I needed advice and to check on tile availability. I spoke to Edyta at the Perth branch who was excellent, gave advice and checked availability which was excellent as I was going to travel around 50mins to get to the store. When I arrived at the store Edyta had my order already placed on a trolley. 1st class service. Thank you Edyta.

Made a visit to wickes today was very disappointed as at least 4 or 5 assistants or managers discussing how everything went at christmas with no-one interested to assist very poor impression to customers,only person that was helpful was the chap at the till i think he maybe called andy

Worker is very helpful especially kyle, helped me find everything i needed with no issues

We booked an apppointment 4 weeks ago to have a home bathroom consult. On the day it was a no show. Phoned the branch who informed me the consultant no longer worked for them. Thanks Wickes.

The advisor at the store when I phoned however was great and apologised.
