I been there today buying stuff as usual because I’m customer over 10 years and the staff very helpful as always specially JUDE as he did massive help for me today and look after my order by very kind and professional way and sort out the delivery and was really patient to get everything I want,

I'd like to give a big shout out to Kaitlyn in the Wakefield wickes store, she is an asset to your team and went above and beyond to provide excellent customer service and I cant thank her enough, I called by phone today as my Nana who is based in Wakefield needed a semi recessed basin replacing and my father who is based is Huddersfield was going to undertake the work but required my help in sourcing one, and I am based in South Wales.

The information on the recess of the basin was missing online which is why I called the store to see if they had the measurements to hand or if they could measure the basin in store which Kaitlyn was more than happy to.

One star lost as I overheard the manager Mark speaking with Kaitlyn stating that the measurements are online and gave the same measurements quoted online to relay to myself (these were for the overall width, length and depth) because I then clarified the piece that needed measuring and asked if this could be measured, I overheard Mark saying "why are customers so needy and why does it matter".

I still wanted to give a high rating as Kaitlyn was amazing.

Bought laminate flooring for collection, and Nick was fabulous. He was incredibly helpful while we were checking the packs, and when we noticed that some were damaged, he was more than happy to replace them for us. Nick was super professional throughout and even made sure we were able to load all the flooring into our car safely and without any issues. Excellent customer service from start to finish—thank you, Nick!

I don't see why i should have to pay £4 for Wicks to take this sub standard decking back, it should have never been send out in that condition, Were is or was the Quality Control on this wood / order in the Wakefield stock yard were it came from ?

Its not fit for propose sub standard wood more like rejects, all wet, bent out of shape, full of knots (What will drop out when dry) ripped, chunks out of them, never seen a belt sander in its life,

I will be looking to send 6 peaces back as they are not fit for propose and cannot be used in my opinion, You pay good money for utter rubbish, Cheap but not cheerful wood masquerading as decking boards Just soft wood, pressure treated with 2 x 2mm lines cut into them, Really rough finish on them all ripped been cut too wet i bet,
You would rip your feet apart walking bare footed on them and thats after 100 hours of sanding what would not make a dent on them as far too rough,
Wickes are far worse quality than any other reject decking been sold on line or e bay, i have never seen so many bad reviews on the website about the condition of wood they are selling, something should be done about it ?

Wickes (Sub) Standard Treated Timber Deck Board - 25 x 120 x 3600mm x 10 @ £80, Yes it £8 in the sale and now back to £11 today, but come on its just scrap wood ?

I bet the delivery driver was thinking look at the state of this wood, i would not use it, i'd send it back, and his eyes must have been painted on too not to see the condition of it or did he see it ?
Then they say it will take 48 hours to answer back about the return of this unfit for propose decking,
Please come collect it for my full refund you have all my details as sent yesterday,
Somebody might come nick it thinking its for a bonfire ?

Attentive and highly motivated assistant.
My wife and I were struggling to identify a product, when we were approached by 'Danni', a female member of staff. She immediately put us at ease with her professionalism and personality.
She identified the product was in stock and got for us out of the warehouse. Outstanding service 👏

Seemed more focused on bringing their competitors down than anything else. They brought up media posts to essentially bad mouth their on competitors during what was meant to be a slot for me to design and get quote on a bathroom. Seemed incredibly uninterested, unhelpful, rushed and dismissed.

Thank you very much for the superb assistance at Wickes by Nick. We bought 20 bags of cement and needed to collect them in stages. Each time Nick sorted out our loads. For the final visit he helped by loading them into the car as it was just me picking up the order. Thank you so much. We need to praise good service more often.

I ordered and paid for a delivery of bricks. The delivery was short, no communication to advise why or offer any assistance or refund. Terrible customer service. All I have heard is that I should chase for a refund ! Not my fault but I am expected to lose time at work to correct their mistake ! Don’t use them B&Q is far better.

We were well assisted by Jude, who took the time and effort to help us with ordering items to construct a garden fence in store. He went the extra mile and helped us choose some items which were very useful. Overall good customer service.

Rang up from Barnsley. Lynette was very helpful polite a credit to Wakefield store.

Went into my local store for building sand, and Nick got the sand for me and put it in my car. He was very helpful. I wouldn't have been able to pick it up, but it was no problem for Nick. Thank you so much, that's what I call excellent service.

Used Wickes deliveries for years and they used to be reliable. Not anymore.

Latest order: 4 sheets of PIR, 3 plasterboards, 2 rolls of insulation. Delivery turned up 3 hours early, to several houses away, then it went downhill fast. One PIR board had a corner missing and all three plasterboards were badly damaged on the edges — clearly mishandled.

Refused the damaged items, only to be told the entire order had to go back. So instead of a simple replacement, I’m left with nothing and a delayed job.

Called the store and was told they’re having “lots of problems” with their new delivery company, City Sprint. Drivers not trained properly, materials being damaged regularly — and the most telling part: I was actually told that if I reordered, he could not guarantee it wouldn't arrive damaged again, which I found unacceptable.

To top it off, Wickes don’t automatically refund the £4 delivery charge when they mess up. I had to escalate to customer services just to get that back — for a delivery that completely failed.

Cancelled the order and went elsewhere. What used to be a convenient service is now a gamble. Until Wickes sorts out City Sprint and takes responsibility, I wouldn’t trust them to deliver anything fragile or important.

I had a problem ordering a delivery online, it wouldn't let me use my trade card because "it said" my email address was the wrong one, even though I had opened it just a few months ago so I went to the Wakefield branch.Lynette the colleague who was attending to me just couldn't understand it. With input from 2 other colleagues she tried in vain to get round it, I must admit that I was thinking I would either have to lose the discount or cancel the order. Lynette wouldn't give in, even at one stage saying " no computer is going to beat me" and it didn't she somehow got round the problem enabling her to order my delivery and gaining my trade discount of £18-30p. I cannot thank Lynette enough for sorting my problem out and reassuring me throughout.

Shocking experience. 4 months later and we still don’t have a finished bathroom. STRONGLY RECOMMEND YOU DO NOT USE WICKES this has been an awful, stressful experience and I am beyond shocked at the incompetence of the approved installers & the lack of any urgency from Wickes in resolving this.

We came in to purchase some worktops and a young man called Jude approached us.
I asked him if we could see a full length of worktop and he was extremely helpful in assisting us with our request.
We asked him about matching upstands and he showed us these.
Once we had decided on the product, he asked if he could help with anything else, but that was all we needed.
He took us to the checkout and we made our purchase.
This young man was very helpful and made our purchase stress free.
