We booked with Wintersports Company back in May. 9 months prior to us leaving for Canada.
In all their correspondence we found them to be completely transparent and easy to communicate with. We worked abroad, and still they answered calls and emails outside regular working hours.
Both Rick & Emma facilitated a resort change and all transfers to and from the airport.
We would be more than happy to book through Wintersports again and indeed know this to be certain of the rest of the people that stayed with us. A great atmosphere was fostered in resort by their representative who is always on hand 24/7.
In short, this is a completely 100% reliable company that has your winter experience at their heart, and in addition, ensures anyone who books with them has the most enjoyable and fulfilling time possible. We would highly recommend anyone wishing to partake in gaining a winter sport qualification, to book through Wintersports.

Winter Sport company have been excellent in every way, their communication friendliness and understanding. They’ve made my whole experience easy and enjoyable. I did my ski instructor level 1 at Panorama first then moved on with a selected group at Hidden Valley to work. Always supported in every way. Unfortunately I had to come home early due to Covid-19 but the flights back home were all organised by Winter Sport company and all the refunds were made. If you’re thinking of doing instructor internship I highly recommend Winter Sport company.

Last November I joined winter sports on a journey to Canada. I got my level 1 at panorama ski resort then headed over to hidden valley ski resort in Alberta Medicine Hat. Winter sports not only not get you your skiing qualifications they basically set you up in Canada. I am still living in Canada and now have a guarantied job back at the hidden valley ski resort for next season. If you want the coolest 5 months of your life a recommend you stop what your doing and book on with winter sports. Thanks rick and Steve you have turned my life around.

I did a 19/20 season Level 1 Snowboard Instructors course with Winter Sports and it was an amazing experience! After completing my level 1 just after 3 weeks it was time to head home but I was left wanting so much more! So much that i am looking to head back for the 20/21 season to get my Level 2 Snowboard Instructors Completed along side an internship.

Winter Sports was there for me the whole journey, form the first email i sent all the way to when i landed back in England. If there was anything i was unsure on the vast knowledge of the combined staff could answer any question i had about the trip. weather that be how much the whole trip would of cost me or even where the best place to get a cold beer at the end of the day!

The office team back home was there if you had an problems with paper work and the resort reps are just invaluable! Rob who was my resort rep was fantastic, he had everything we had needed all planed out for us and in a place that we could find the information out at any time.

Sun Peaks is a brilliant resort and has something for all. There is more than enough lines for all skill levels, weather that be chilled greens to practice your switch riding and other trick or finding those deep powder pockets out in the back of the resort. the Ski school instructors are a great laugh, they mix fun and serious training together to make the training a memorable experience that you will take with you wherever you go.

I did the 19/20 season at Sun Peaks with WinterSports and completed my LV 1&2 Snoboard Instructor Course. Had the absolute time of my life and Winter Sports were there every step of the way if I needed anything. Couldn’t recommend this company more. Will be back next season for sure!

I went out to Sun Peaks to participate in the the Level 1 skiing internship and I couldn't be any happier with the time I had.

Winter Sports Company were fantastic the whole way through the season, from all the assistance at the airport on our way out to all of the hard work that Rik, Emma, and Rob had to put in to get everyone home amongst the Covid chaos.

Working with the ski school was a wonderful experience and something I'll never forget. We were all made to feel welcome every step of the way and I cannot wait to return and work a second season in Sun Peaks.

Winter 2018, I got involved with the Winter Sports Company. I did the Level 1&2 Course at Sun Peaks and passed both! I had such an amazing time and loved every minute of it. I made friends with people from all around the world and made some memories for life. I even came back and worked for the Sun Peaks Ski School the following year.

The courses and whole season sets you up for success and you could arrive at any skill level and the support you receive will make everything go smoothly. I arrived having never skied before! Left a CSIA Level 2. Go forward just over two years, and I am now a CSIA Level 3. I wouldn't be where I am now without the support and guidance from the Winter Sports Company. So thanks for everything!

I was on the season long internship program at Panorama this season and I cannot rate my experience highly enough. First off the support received from Rik and Emma was outstanding. As a fairly quiet person naturally it was great that I felt included straight away by every single person around. The training in resort is second to none and the working environment and conditions at Panorama can’t be faulted. As previously mentioned Rik and Emma’s support was great and it was most definitely needed with the Covid-19 outbreak that was changing but the hour. Within the space of a day they had changed all our flights, arranged transfers and also liased with our parents in major detail working tirelessly to get everyone home before the potential of being cut off.

I can not recommend this experience highly enough. You will do things and meet people that will change your life and stick with you forever so if you have the chance then go for it because there will be no regrets

This review is in two part – hopefully you will understand why.

Part 1: My son worked as intern ski instructor in Panorama BC this year with Winter Sports Company. The pre-travel preparation and advise from Winter Sports was fantastic. As a parent unused to supporting your child for this type of adventure, I wouldn’t have known where to start. Rik, Emma and the team provided lots of guidance and support that made the preparation so easy. Always available for a chat on the phone and quickly following up with any actions gave me confidence.

I know that my son felt relaxed and part of a great team for the minute he met up with the rest of the party at the airport. Feedback from him during the season made us very envious of the experience he was having: ‘Loving Life’ was a regular comment he would make. So much so that the prospect of a second year’s deferral for Uni is definitely on the cards – and back to Panorama too!

Part2: Nobody could have anticipated the pace of COVID-19’s impact worldwide. I cannot praise and thanks Rik Emma and the team at Winter Sport company enough for the way they handled the crisis and managed getting everyone home as promptly as they did.

The management of the situation and the communication with parents to keep us abreast of the rapidly changing plan went way beyond anything expected of them. I am grateful to them as I would have struggled to arrange things as quickly as they did.

Did the Lvl 1 and almost all of the Lvl 2 ski course (due to the sudden end to the season never got to take the Lvl 2 exam). I loved every second I was out there and am desperately looking forward to going back and getting my Lvl 2 ASAP.
Rik and Emma were amazing, from the early stages of 2019 with helping my parents and I decide on what was best, all the way through to the manic departure from Sun Peaks. They kept us amazingly well informed and got all of us back quickly and in one piece.

Would 100% recommend winter sports, and sun peaks.
If you're reading this then I might be seeing you out in Sun Peaks in 2021.....

Being a more "mature" Customer, I was a bit apprehensive that the course would be more suited to younger people. I need not have been, there were several other older folk on the Winter Sports package and the younger Guys treated us the same as any other student.

I also met so many people from around the World and the local Canadians are simply the best, so friendly and welcoming!

The resort, ski conditions, ski tuition and resort rep, Rob, were all fantastic and I would most definitely go back, hopefully next season!

It was a shame the season was cut short due to COVID-19 but nevertheless it was still a wonderful experience.

Hats off to Rik, Emma and Rob who got everyone home so quickly when the resort announced it was closing so suddenly.

Rik and Emma also provided first class service throughout 2019 leading up to the trip. Every query was answered promptly and efficiently.

I travelled out to Panorama Mountain Resort in Canada with wintersports company this year and they helped me get my Level 1 qualification as well as guaranteed job instructing at the resort, they also arranged training that set me on my way to a Level 2 qualification. Unfortunately the season had to be cut short due to Covid-19, however the wintersports handled the pandemic very well and managed to get all their interns back in the UK mere days after the resort shut and days before all flights were getting cancelled.

I stayed in the Panorama resort doing the 11 week Snowboard instructor course. I enjoyed my time there very much and my snowboarding improved dramatically as well as my teaching. There were a few issues but WSC team were always on hand to sort out any problems and answer calls and messages. It was great that there was a person from WSC on site who would give us ideas on what we could do in the evenings and if we had an questions, they were there, so it was very helpful. Even when we left the resort they still stayed in contact and made sure everyone was doing OK. Booking was easy and you spoke with someone to make sure any questions or worries you may have had were answered and the courses were laid out and explained clearly so you could make the right decisions for yourself. A great company to choose for your winter sports needs.

My 20 year old son who had never been away from home before decided to follow his dreams and become a Ski Instructor. After looking at many different companies he decided on Winter Sports and signed up to do a Level 1 & 2 course in Panorama, Canada. 11 weeks.
To say he had the most amazing, life changing experience is an understatement. It opened his eyes to the world of opportunities and possibilities that exist.
The course was cut short by COVID19 and as a parent you are obviously concerned that your chid can get back safely. Rik and Emma have done an extraordinary job in getting everyone home. This is something no one could have planned for and their communication to our son and us was first class.
My son is already planning to go back again next Winter and I hope that all will be back to normal by then. In the meantime, if you are considering doing a course/experience like this, pick up the phone and call Rik or Emma. They are great, very approachable people, who have a real passion for what they are doing.

Sending your 17 year old daughter to Canada for the season is a worry to parents but I can honestly say she had the best experience ever. From booking to all the coaching/training and looking after everything was as described and more.
A great life changing experience and we would have no hesitation in recommending, in fact she is going back next year hopefully.
Most importantly when the season was cut short by COVID19 and many companies struggled to deal efficiently with travel chaos Rik and Emma worked hard and communicated with us throughout and efficiently got there customers back from Canada.

As a parent, when the safety and well being of your family member has been entrusted to a company such as Winter Sports, what matters most is how that company reacts when things start going wrong. Nobody could have foreseen the chaos that Covid-19 was destined to cause at the start of season 19/20 or the speed at which airlines and countries would go into shutdown. Rik and Emma reacted decisively and kept clear communication lines open as they worked tirelessly to get their charges safely out of resorts, onto flights and home.
