Weather Underground Avis 98

If this app is any indication of IBMs Technical capability it might be time to sell the stock. They can’t seem to keep the app functioning.

They totally screwed the pooch with the update. Can no longer specify which station you want to examine, data is displayed in a less intuitive way and I can’t at all tell where to air-quality data comes from. It is very different from the local air quality sensors run by the state. Boo!

This app was my go to for accurate weather. The new app is completely unusable and difficult to navigate. I seriously hope they see these reviews and make changes quickly. I’ve been contributing to the weather on weather underground for a decade

What happened?! You can't read the data...confusing and messy.
And you can't tell where the data came from now! There is no way to monitor micro-weather!

This was a superb app and now I'm fighting to find a different one as usable as this one was.

We were all set to get a weather station and contribute and now we can't find a good network to attach to!

This was my top weather site until the last update. Now I don’t use as it only shows in portrait in my iPad and I have to hold sideways to view. This has been a big boost for all the other weather apps as I see all the one star ratings for Underground since they changed.

Went from 10 rating to about a 2. Please bring old one back. If you do I will switch back to WU app, even without a personal apology letter being sent to me.

This app is dead. It was having issues, now it’s new and totally useless. I used to connect my weather stations to the network, now looking for a new network. The Good news? There is a business opportunity opened up for a community driven weather app!!

Toss this one! Killed by incompetence.

Anything that was worthwhile is now gone. Combine this with the location data scandal they were involved in, the AI machine that is IBM Watson is analyzing all of this data and that I own a weather station that has been ever so slightly contributing to this mess is absurd. I would ask all contributors to look at what is going on and consider if this is a good choice for them. If WU brings back its old ways instead of using community data for data mining and ad space then that would also warrant reconsideration. Not saying that they should not be making money but they have gone so far in doing this that the product itself is about destroyed.

The latest upgrade ruined the ap. Thanks to IBM? Never again.

Destroyed the best weather app. Been using for a couple years. Now looking for an alternative. Used to have the most useful info on one easy to read screen. Easily toggle between intra day and 6 day. Wind speed on main screen. Now looking through a disorganized peep hole. Awful. Who makes decisions like this. Unreal.

Who was doing bongs rips and updated this app? Whatta joke

If you're currently running an older version of this app, DO NOT UPDATE IT. You'll immediately regret it. This update has to be the worst I've ever seen: frustrating to use, disorganized, ugly, confusing.

Used Weather Underground for over a year. Was most functional, customizable, pin point local app. It's stunning owner/management have allowed tech programming dolts to totally ruin a once functional site. It's been 2 weeks since the new "upgrade". It now an arrogant, nasty program, unresponsive to input, slow to load, jump around without prompts. How is it possible that you haven't taken responsibility and repaired this abject failure. Get in your pajamas, go back to your mothers' basement and play video games!

Was best weather app, now WORST after "update". Removed daily PRECIP totals, and wind speed-direction from opening graph, and reduced opening graph from SIX days per screen to only THREE days. WHY? Scattered info in easily read opening graph-chart with loads of info, to multiple pages and multiple graphs requiring multiple clicks and swipes. WHY? Removed numbers from hourly graph and reduced readability. "Graph" of sun rise-set times put on fake sine wave is not even a graph. Idiotic numberless "speedometer" "dashboard" takes up whole opening screen. The app used to be almost perfect, now it's USELESS. Why destroy a simple multi-day temp-rain graph with daily rain totals and wind speed-ditection info, all in one screen view, remove all daily PRECIP totals, and scatter the info all over the place. USELESS app. If it's not broke, don't fix it. Whoever redesigned this app clearly did not use it, and is not a summary-data in single graph-chart person. Did the update get a SINGLE positive review from any former user? No. We all write we loved the old app, deleted the new updated app, and bought another app from from a different provider. The only positive reviews anywhere are old ones for the old app.

OMG....what have you done to this once outstanding weather app?

Flashy mediocrity. RIP to an old friend.

Its really rare for me to comment like this so i know your app means a lot to me.

The new version shows that you dont understand how a segment of your users use the app.
We dont come to you see what the weather looks like at our holiday destination (although we do that to), we use it to make decisions:
Will i need an umberella for my commute to work at 7.45 or.my return journey at 5:30? [So missing the hourly precipitation estimate matters]
Do i need my winter gloves on for my bike ride this morning/tomorrow.
[Quick access to more than 6 hrs of data is important. It dont need to see the weather at 5am if i go to bed at 11pm, i want to see the whole of the next day]

Will i be to hot if i wear a coat today? [Hourly temperture and humidity data should be no more than one click away without scrolling down the page]

Anyway, thats my rant over. I have been a big advocate of your product since you started. I hope you get it right so that i can start telling people about it again.

It works perfectly, and makes good predictions.

I don't think they maintain the site any more. Nothing works right. Shut it down!

It's just plain crap now it looks like site from the late 80's not 2019!!!

This used to be a great weather site, with its detailed 10 day forecast graphs and the ability to select for a wide range of local weather stations. Sadly however that is in the past.

For a couple of years the performance of the pages (it now takes about 5-10 seconds to load the 10 day forecast) has been pretty terrible. The wide range of local stations have dwindled massively too.

Then about a week ago I found that it was impossible to set the site to show centigrade instead of fahrenheit, without setting up a profile and logging in. Ok, I did that... then the site had to be logged into almost every time I visited, instead of already being logged in.

Then what finally killed it for me was Trustarc. It's annoying enough to have to wait a couple of minutes for the thing to "update my settings" just the one time, but now it happen every few times I go to the site.

So although most of the information that made great is still there, the behaviour of the site has made it too painful to get to.
