My experience with ZFN and in particular Zaid has been excellent. He has been very clear, concise and honest from the beginning. The direct WhatsApp communication was very helpful, and everything was set out clearly. He effectively managed my expectations and provided an example of the type of report he will produce as a final product. I needed the property I was purchasing to be surveyed promptly. Zaid was quick to book in and communicate with the vendors and arrange a date. He stayed in constant communication, and after the survey we had a very detailed conversation. He explained all the findings providing any issues, the cause, and the potential remedial action that would be needed. This is a company I would highly recommend as they focus on high quality work, but more importantly they care about the service they provide. If you are looking to get a survey done, give ZFN a go and you will not be disappointed.

I contacted Zaid to get a quote for a buildings survey. He responded promptly, was generous with his time, sent an example report and explained what he would and would not be able to provide upfront. Following the survey Zaid phoned us and gave us a comprehensive picture of what he felt the main issues were immediately. The report followed within promised timelines and was easy to read, well structured, clear and with good photos to complement it. Throughout Zaid was extremely polite and professional. I would highly recommend asking ZFN to conduct your survey.

THEN I COMPLETED A FULL STRUCTURAL SURVEY WHICH DID GO SMOOTH- BUT THAT WAS THE ONLY POSITIVE.

MAJOR ISSUES TO THE PROPERTY NOT MENTIONED ON THE REPORT WHICH HAS NOW COST ME THOUSANDS WHICH I WILL SUE THE COMPANY FOR TO GET BACK.

I HIGHLY RECCOMEND AVOIDING THESE GUYS - THEY MAY SEEM NICE BUT THE JOB THEY ACTUALLY DO FOR THE PRICE YOU PAY IS AWFUL AND WILL COST YOU MORE IN THE LONG RUN.

We contacted ZFN on 22nd Sept, Zaid was very helpful and was able to carry out the structural inspection the very next day! We received a detailed report on the 15th Oct and it exceeded our expectations - very thorough and in-depth with photos and a full breakdown, including advice and an estimated budget which is very helpful. We honestly can't fault the service and would recommend Zaid to anyone.

I am very happy with the professional service provided to me by ZFN. They carried out a thorough inspection of the house I wanted to purchase, providing me a detailed status of the property as well as costings of repair needed to improve it. In the report, they even provided pictures so the visuals helped me see the condition in each part of the house. The assessment of ZFN supported the subsequent valuation report issued by my bank during my mortgage application for the house. With ZFN’s report, which I provided as a supporting document, I was able to put together a strong argument with the seller for re-negotiating the purchase price. In fact, in the end I was able to re-negotiate the price of the house to £30,000 less! I am very happy with this outcome, and ZFN truly helped me make this happen. Furthermore, Zaid makes time to give you a call to talk to you and explain his findings, giving you as much information you need, and provides suggestions for your concerns. I truly recommend this surveyor to everyone who would like to purchase a home!

I paid ZFN CHARTERED SURVEYORS to do a comprehensive building survey for a house I wanted to purchase in London. The building survey was done on March 2021, and the report come back with no major issues and no mention/warning of asbestos in the report at all. After I receive their report, ZFN tried to lure me with a cash back for 5-star reviews, which I refused as I did not want to mislead the public. There are not too much added benefits for me in the report, as there is no significant difference from my visual assessment and their visual assessment, what I can see is what they can see in their report, I paid for the most compressive building survey but their survey was only a visual assessment. I expected that a building survey with RICS surveyor could provide more detailed insight/inspections with their knowledge, tools and experience.
Given no major issue/hazard with the survey, I purchased the property on Jun 2021. After that, when I started some renovation work, unfortunately the plumbers immediately noticed there are obviously asbestos flue pipe and asbestos insulation board, beside hot water tank, also there are cold water tanks with asbestos as well. These can be easily identified when you open the door of the boiler/water tank. Even the most superficial inspection by any competent surveyor would have given an indication of the asbestos.
I went back to the ZFN and provided them with the asbestos survey report, and sent them pictures as evidence, But ZFN insist that they are satisfied that they conducted the building survey with industry standards.
I could have negotiated the purchase price down or even not buy the property at all should they at least suspected and warned me of the asbestos, now I have to pay additional cost for asbestos survey and the cost to remove this asbestos. My family cannot move in to the property and we have to evacuate and find alternative accommodation due to asbestos. My house renovation work has to be stopped/postponed until asbestos removed. And also, this has caused lots of psychological and mental pressure/harm to myself and my family.
I have made a formal complaint against ZFN to RICS, also I am consulting my solicitors on any possible legal actions against ZFN CHARTERED SURVEYORS for their Professional Negligence, and I will report this to The Property Ombudsman as well.

Zaid was extremely helpful from the moment I requested a quote. He was polite and attentive. He discussed all matters raised and answered all my questions diligently. After the survey he called me and provided a 45 minute debrief which was really good of him. Post issuing the report he has been on hand to answer any questions. Amazing service from Zaid. He managed to facilitate a survey at quick notice and gave us a thorough verbal summary immediately afterwards, before providing us with the detailed written report a few days later. I contacted ZFN to carry out a structural survey on my property. The agents were very extremely good at explaining what I required and did not suggest the most expensive as I didn’t require it. They conducted the survey very quickly and emailed me the very extensive report in a matter of days.
