I recently returned from my trip with Ziyara Tours to Bosnia.
Maa sha Allah what an amazing experience that was and the theme Healing Hearts resonated well with me.
Bosnia is blessed with natural beauty and along with the Ottoman Empire architectural heritage makes it even more special.
I enjoyed the places we visited and the group of sisters who bonded well.

Healing Hearts Bosnia Ziyara Tours

This was my first time going on an organised tour, and overall, I had a good experience. It took away the hassle of organising travel. The coach journeys offered some amazing views.

Out of the seven days we were there, six were spent on organised tours, with one free day to spend as we wished. The tours covered Mostar, Sarajevo, Srebrenica, and a few other places. I enjoyed listening to the Surahs, Zikr and duas on the coach, which made the journeys feel peaceful and relaxing.

We managed to see most of what was included in the itinerary. Bosnia is a beautiful country, with stunning forests, mountains, waterfalls, lakes, and a rich history.

Sister Sumhara, the main organiser, was welcoming and approachable. She made time to speak to everyone on most days. Sister Ustadha Tayyibah, who led most of the recitations, was amazing ensuring appropriate recitations took place. She was also approachable. The tour guides shared stories on the coach and kept reinforcing to keep our personal belongings safe from pick pockets when out and about.

A few negatives were lack of communication and miscommunication. On a few occasions, people were given different return times for the coach, which caused some confusion and panic. However, the tour guides apologised.

The tours could have included more information. At times, the group walked through certain areas quite quickly, meaning those at the front could hear the explanations while those at the back missed out. For example in Sarajevo an open top vehicle marks the spot the throne to Austria Hungry was assassinated which prompted World War I. Not many people in the group heard this and we were rushed through so didn’t get a chance to take a photo. Headphones were provided, but the tour guides rarely used them. This is something that will improve with experience, especially as this was their first tour in Bosnia.

Finally, all the sisters on the tour were amazing, and it was lovely getting to know and speak to everyone.

Overall, I would highly recommend Healing Hearts Bosnia Ziyara Tours. It really is a great and safe way for ladies to travel, explore countries and enjoy the experience together.

Healing Hearts & Ziyara Tours Bosnia and Herzegovina Ladies Trip (28 September - 4 October 2026)
Bosnia and Herzegovina had been on my travel wish list for a long time, and this trip exceeded my expectations in so many ways. It was a wonderful opportunity to explore a beautiful country, deepen my spirituality, and meet an incredible group of sisters.
The natural beauty of Bosnia is simply breathtaking. Throughout the week, we visited stunning waterfalls, crystal-clear rivers, picturesque lakes, mountain landscapes, historic bridges, bustling markets, and welcoming restaurants. Every day brought a new view and a new appreciation for the country's rich history and scenery.
One of the most memorable aspects of the trip was the spiritual environment that was created throughout the week. Travelling alongside Sister Sumhara and Ustadha Tayyibah added a special dimension to the experience. Ustadha Tayyibah's recitations were particularly moving and often provided moments of reflection during what was otherwise a busy itinerary. The reminders, duas, and shared spiritual moments helped make the journey much more meaningful than a typical sightseeing holiday.
The sense of sisterhood was another highlight. Spending a week with a diverse group of women from different backgrounds and walks of life was a real blessing. Whether we were exploring a new city, sharing meals, or simply laughing together on the coach, there was a genuine spirit of warmth, kindness, and support within the group.
There were, however, a few areas where future tours could be enhanced. Communication was occasionally unclear, particularly when plans changed at short notice. At times, there seemed to be uncertainty around timings and changes to the itinerary, which caused some confusion within the group. For example, there was disappointment when Jablanica Lake was unexpectedly omitted, uncertainty about meeting times after visiting Pliva Lake, and a lack of clarity around some locations listed on the itinerary. More consistent communication would help participants feel better informed throughout the trip.
In addition, while the local guides were friendly and enthusiastic, there were occasions where more detailed historical and cultural information would have enriched the experience further. This may naturally improve as they gain more experience leading international groups.
Regarding accommodation, I would recommend exploring higher-standard hotels for future tours. That said, the Sarajevo hotel more than made up for its dated appearance with an excellent breakfast selection each morning. There was plenty of variety to cater for different tastes and dietary preferences, which was greatly appreciated before setting off for long days of exploring.
If I could make one further suggestion, it would be to spend an additional night in Mostar. Its beautiful architecture, atmosphere, history, and riverside setting deserved more time than we were able to give it.
Overall, the positives of this trip far outweighed the negatives. The beautiful landscapes, spiritual benefits, friendships formed, and memories created made it a truly rewarding experience. I returned home feeling refreshed, inspired, and grateful for the opportunity to have experienced Bosnia in such a unique way.
Despite the few areas where improvements could be made, would I travel with this tour group again? Absolutely, yes. Without hesitation. The opportunity to explore a beautiful country while strengthening my faith and sharing the experience with such a wonderful group of sisters is something I will always treasure. The warmth, support, and sense of community throughout the trip made it very special, and I would happily join another Healing Hearts and Ziyara Tours trip in the future, insha'Allah.

I went to Bosnia with the group called Bosnia sisters treat, was organise by the Ziyara Tours.
They have managed include the most of the attractions scenic areas in the tour and the leading sisters were very helpful, organised, friendly and understanding,
The bed and breakfast are were acceptable.
Loved how leading sisters were reciting Surah, Dua, and Zikr etc before stating our journey and after completing journey day too 💞.
I have enjoyed myself alongside with my friends and loved the whole journey.
I couldn’t attend the Mawlid they carried one night because I don’t celebrate Mawlid.

I would suggest that try to avoid doing Mawlid and extra religious staff which our prophet Mohammed SAW never done then.

Sister Sumara and Ustadha Tayyiba made the journey so deeply spiritual and special through their beautiful recitations. I felt truly blessed to experience the trip with them.

We visited some of the most amazing and beautiful parts of Bosnia, accompanied by the best tour guides who made the experience even more enjoyable. The sisters on the tour were absolutely lovely — friendly, kind, and so talented. Everyone looked out for one another, and there was such a beautiful sense of sisterhood throughout the trip.

Of course, we also had plenty of fun, laughter, jokes and unforgettable memories along the way! 😂❤️

I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience and I’m already looking forward to another tour with Sister Sumara and Ustadha Tayyiba, insha’Allah.

Healing Hearts Bosnia was truly a beautiful and unforgettable experience. Sister Samarah was an amazing tour guide, warm, knowledgeable, and always looking after everyone. Ustadha Tayibah's recitation was absolutely wonderful and touched many hearts.
The whole journey was spiritually uplifting, and I'm grateful for the memories and connections made. The hotel could have been a little better, but honestly, it didn't matter in the end because the experience itself was so special.

I have travelled with Ziyara Tours to Jordan n now Bosnia very well organised team leaders very helpful everyone in the group is kind n helpful to each other at the end of the trip we were all sad to leave and missing everyone in the group Sajid Bhai Sumhara and Ustazah Taiyba all so Humble and helpful.In shaa Allah will travel with them again Bi izinillah Recommend them highly

I’ve just come back from Iraq with Ziyara Tours after a 8 day trip. We travelled from Manchester as Sajid the tour leader was flying from there so we wanted to go with him as we went to masjid al aqsa with him and he was just brilliant. I don’t think I’ve ever met anyone so calm and helpful as him.

So we flew out from Manchester on Qatar Airways to Doha for a quick change over so it was about 6 hours 30 mins to get to Doha and just over 2 hours to get to Baghdad from there. Airline was very good so would recommend.

We got to Baghdad about 8 ish in the evening and had to wait for clearance at the airport (this bit took long because the airport was very slow but once you’ve got through, you’re out of there straight away).

We first travelled to Karbala which was about 2 hours on the coach and stayed 1 night there and visited the shrines etc. We then drove via coach to Najaif where we stayed 2 nights and visited Hazrat Ali’s Shrine which was so amazing. A beautiful feeling which I cannot describe. Najaif did feel like Madinah - a peaceful feeling.

We then travelled back to Baghdad where we spent the rest of the days visiting shrines and in the evening would go to Abdul Qadeer Jillanis Shrine and mosque. Which was so busy because of the annual urs which we went for! The atmosphere was magical and so beautiful once again.

We had Imam Khalid throughout the trip and he was so positive and uplifting not like some imams who scare monger you.

So we stayed at 3 different hotels which were all nice, we had breakfast, lunch and dinner included so I think I’ve come back a bit heavier but never mind!

Our group was lovely, we had a brilliant time and Ziyara Tours are the best, mashallah. Me and friends wouldn’t travel with any other group as I trust Ziyarat Tours.

Rashid was also very helpful and made us laugh!

If you’re reading this review then don’t think twice, go ahead and book it and let Ziyara Tours look after you.

We have just returned from a trip to Iraq with Ziyarah Tours and it has truly been exceptional. Their motto is "journey of a lifetime" and this is exactly what we have experienced. The care, professionalism and organisation of the entire trip has been amazing allowing us all to truly immerse ourselves and benefit spiritually. This is our second time travelling with Ziyarah Tours and I would highly recommend them to anyone wanting to travel to Muslim lands.

Just got back from the Iraq tour and alhamdulila what a journey it was, truly spiritually uplifting. So grateful for ziyara tours for their very well thought out itinerary. The booking process was very simple and easy, the took care of everything from flights, visas to hotels and transport. It was like moving through history. The scholars with us provided us with so much insight into the significance of the places we visited. A blessing to have visited such places.

From the very beginning, when I first contacted Brother Sajid, he was extremely helpful and informative. He explained the package to me clearly, including exactly what the tour included, and everything was exactly as described and what I had expected.

Throughout the whole journey, both brothers looked after us really well. Brother Rashid also kept us entertained on the coaches with his beautiful nasheeds, while providing us with lots of useful information along the way. Both brothers put so much effort into making the whole experience enjoyable, organised and comfortable.

There were five of us travelling together, and we were all extremely happy with the whole experience. Everything was very well organised, and we were blessed with the opportunity to visit many of the holy shrines of the Ahl-e-Bayt (AS). It was a truly meaningful and rewarding experience, and we really felt the benefit of the journey.

My wife and I just got back from a blessed Ziyarah trip to Iraq with Ziyarah Tours, which included 2 nights in Karbala, 1 night in Najaf, and 4 nights in Baghdad.

Right from the start when booking the trip until we got back, the organisation, timings, safety, communication, professionalism, was excellent. Brothers Sajid and Rashad were approachable, friendly, and made every effort to accomodate all our requests.

The group itself was full of like-minded people who got on really well and looked out for each other.

The scholars were excellent and made each ziyarah meaningful and poignant and displayed a deep knowledge wherever we went.

I was slightly apprehensive about visiting Iraq as it's in the UK Government's red list but honestly the places we visited were very safe and I would wholeheartedly recommend visiting especially if you want to connect with the luminaries who were instrumental in crystallising our deen.

We can't wait to go to Jordan and Palestine in Spring next year Insha'Allah.

This is the third time I’ve travelled with Ziyara Tours, and Alhamdulillah, it was truly the best trip yet.

I travelled with my elderly father, so naturally I was a little worried about how the trip would be, but Alhamdulillah, it exceeded all my expectations. From the very beginning, everything was so well organised, and the whole group was incredibly warm and friendly. We genuinely looked out for one another, which made the experience even more special.

During the Umrahs, Ziyara Tours arranged earpieces so we could hear the Shaykh Saab leading the recitations while the group followed together. Despite how incredibly busy it was, we were able to stay together as a group and perform our Umrah seamlessly. It was truly an amazing and unforgettable experience.

Ziyara Tours took care of every detail, meaning we didn’t have to worry about a thing, from the flights and visas to the hotels, transport and ziyaras. Brother Saj worked tirelessly behind the scenes to arrange everything and ensure the trip was a positive and memorable experience for everyone.

A massive thank you to Brother Rash for being so approachable, supportive and accommodating throughout the entire trip. He was always willing to listen to the group and even made last-minute changes to the itinerary when we requested additional experiences. This included arranging a visit from Shaykh Habib Adil, additional ziyaras to Bir-e-Shifa, Jabal Malaika and the Battle of Badr, as well as the beautiful mawlids that took place in Makkah and Madinah.

I’d also like to thank Brother Rash for giving the sisters the opportunity to participate in the food distributions in Makkah and Madinah. It was a real eye-opening and humbling experience, and it was amazing to see Ziyara supporting such meaningful projects. And last, but by no means least, a massive thank you to the amazing Shaykh Saamir Saab, who truly made this trip so special. It was a blessing to have them lead us. Their gentle, compassionate and courteous manner made such a difference. They connected with everyone in the group, from the youngest to the elderly, and were always attentive and patient when responding to questions and queries.

Their beautiful naat recitations and reminders were incredibly inspiring. Shaykh Saab’s knowledge was so vast and what stood out most was their ability to explain things so beautifully and simply that everyone could connect with them.

I genuinely feel that I have come away from this trip feeling more connected to Allah SWT and His beloved RasulAllah ﷺ because of Shaykh Saab’s reminders and guidance. And I will forever be grateful to them for that. May Allah SWT bless them immensely, reward them for every person they helped and every reminder they shared, and place endless barakah in their knowledge, their efforts and their life. Ameen.

A good Umrah trip experience. Brother Rashid managed everything well from start to finish and it all went easy Alhamdulillah.

This was my first time performing Umrah and also my first time travelling alone for a trip like this, so naturally I wasn’t completely sure what to expect. Alhamdulillah, going with Ziyara Tours made the whole experience much easier and more comfortable than I could have hoped for.

Everything was well organised, from the hotels and airport transfers to the ziyarat and general logistics throughout the trip. Communication was also really good — we were kept updated with timings, plans and any changes or issues along the way, so you always knew what was happening.

The Sheikh and guides were brilliant throughout and added so much to the experience, particularly during the ziyarat. Rashid was also always around and available whenever you needed help, advice or had any questions, which was especially reassuring for someone travelling alone for the first time.

Alhamdulillah, I also met some genuinely great people within the group and never felt uncomfortable being there on my own.

As someone who did plenty of research before booking because it was my first Umrah and I was travelling alone, I can now say after experiencing it myself that I would highly recommend Ziyara Tours. May Allah reward everyone involved and accept all of our Umrah. Ameen. 🤲🏽🕋

I came back from this trip a week ago and have only just got around to writing this review, but honestly it was an excellent experience from beginning to end. It was my second time going with Ziyarah tours - we spent three days in Jordan, visiting Wadi Rum and Petra, before travelling on to Palestine. Both parts of the journey were unforgettable and the places themselves were absolutely beautiful.

Alhamdulillah, Palestine was completely safe. We faced very little interrogation and were allowed through almost every time we went to Masjid al-Aqsa, which was a huge improvement compared with the last time we visited. At no point did we feel unsafe or particularly concerned.

The organisation throughout was excellent. Brother Sajid always kept his cool and we never once saw him flustered. Everything was well organised, and whenever any small hitches came up, they were dealt with swiftly. We genuinely had to worry about nothing: the flights, accommodation, transport and everything else had already been arranged, allowing us to focus completely on the experience rather than any of the logistics.

Imam Samir was also excellent. He answered everyone’s questions throughout the trip and gave us some very informative and inspiring lessons during our time there, which added a great deal to the journey.

Overall, I really enjoyed the trip and cannot praise the group enough for how well everything was handled. They made the entire journey easy, enjoyable and meaningful. It was definitely worth it and I would 100% recommend travelling with them. Six stars if I could!
