Seems to be a scam - called for an emergency plumber, they said the call out fee would be £49 and he would arrive in 1 hour. 3 hours later I called to cancel as it was taking too long and had stopped the emergency. She told me he was a few minutes away. I waited another 30 mins and called back to cancel. She said I still had to pay. I asked to speak to the plumber. When I spoke to him he said he was stuck on a job and would be at least 2 hours. I told him not to come and he said thats ok and just to let the office know. She wouldnt cancel the job and said I had to pay the £49 even though he hadnt even left to come to us. Had to finally hang up on her as she was demanding the money for literally nothing and had lied about plumbers whereabouts. After reading reviews I had a lucky escape!

I cancelled after they weren’t needed. Cancelled within 5 minutes, they still turn up and charge. Complete scam.

Needed an electrician to fix a big light. Not an emergency as we have lamps we can use. Was told call out fee of £45 for someone to come out today. Asked if he could come tomorrow thinking it might be cheaper if not an emergency call out and lady on the phone said same price. Alarm bells rang slightly but still booked as it does need fixing. Decided to check reviews and all are ridiculously bad warning of rip offs. Haven’t got time for that! Called back to cancel. Immediately she asked why I wanted to cancel and I said the issue had fixed itself so there would be no come back of anyone still
coming out. Lady on the phone said I still need to pay for the engineer to come out even though I had cancelled within a few minutes! She was adamant I needed to as the engineer had been told about it. This went back and and forth a few times with me politely but firmly saying I would not be paying. She eventually gave up and told me to have a nice day. Very pleased I avoided this company. Avoid! Avoid! Avoid!

Scam company, stay away from them. I mistakenly phoned this company to service my boiler in one weeks time, their website is very similar to the company I normally use. I said (wrongly) to the person who answered the phone that they had serviced my boiler a year earlier, they never contradicted me.

I realised my mistake within 20 minutes and phoned to cancel, I was told I had to pay a £45 cancellation fee. I believe this is is in contradiction of the 14-day cancellation right given to me under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.

I have said I will be happy to dispute this in court if necessary.

Im going to save you a lot of money if you read this.
This company is an agency that farms out work to plumbers. The staff on the end of the phone are certainly not English and put on a weird American sounding dialect, they are rude and completely unprofessional.

I am a OAP, vulnerable and looking after my husband who has dementia and Parkinson’s and we had a slight leak and needed a replacement part and fitting on the elbow. I contacted this firm (247 Best Emergency services) as they looked at face value like a decent and professional outfit on Google.

I explained the symptoms and was told they could sort the problem out. I asked several times for a price to make an informed choice as to whether to use this service. She was told it would be a £45 call out, the cost of the part and testing once the job was complete. I asked was there an hourly rate I was told no. It was a call out fee, price for parts and testing. It was assumed at this point that the bill would be no more than around £200 maybe £250 max.

A company turned up from ADI Tradesmen. A plumber arrived. The plumber sure enough completed the job, there was no need for diagnostics because my I knew where the leak was on the elbow and pointed the plumber in that direction. The plumber had completed the job in 30 mins. I asked what the bill was in which the plumber replied “I need to call the boss” this was so his boss could be in touch with 247. The plumber was hanging around for nearly 10mins for a response and had to ring again to get a price for works which I thought was very unusual and began to panic. I then received a call 247 asking if the job had been completed, the firm were informed that it had, the person on the end of the phone the stated that £470 was the bill for a leaky pipe. This was a complete shock and a rip off to pensioners.
We have since spoken to other trades and they have stated that this was a rip off job and this bill was never discussed at the beginning of the call….. no estimate no nothing. This is a breach of the Sales Act and Price Markings Act 2004. No hidden fees were explained.

The plumber would not leave and he said that he needed payment before he could leave. This was not acceptable and intimidating. Feeling that I was backed into a corner we paid the fee.

No longer after the work was completed, the pipes started clunking and the flush in the cistern was stopping and starting.

When we tried to phone the firm the number was no longer in use nor accepted in coming calls.

My son in law and tried to speak with 247 best emergency services who rudely cut his call. He was unable to contact them back on the mobile number they rang on.

If you are reading this 247 Best Emergency Services- my son in law will pursue you via the law. Trading Standards and Action Fraud will be notified by 02/09/2026 unless you are in contact with me and at least pay back 40% of that £470.

I will bring media attention to you and any of your affiliates. I suggest negotiations.

Beware! Rip off! Web-site states 4.7 out of 5. If you read the reviews you can see what customers really report.
The member of staff handling this was very rude and unprofessional.
The plumber was good, but the company 24/7 are out to rip off customers in emergency situations - they have no knowledge of plumbing and argue strongly that what would normally be a plumber for 1 1/2 days is reasonable for 20 minutes labour.
Work directly with a local plumber. Do not use these rip off merchants.

We needed an emergency electrician, asked price told £45 plus repairs. Tried to cancel 5mins later, told we must pay £45 anyway, so went ahead with it. Turned up 3 hours late, two blokes in a Mercedes saloon, spent 5mins in the property and tried charging £348. We refused, paid the £45 fee. Then harassed for 4 days from multiple mobile numbers, eventually agreed to pay £100 as they did tidy wires and test 2 sockets for us.

Awful customer service, harassing phone calls, and if my girlfriend was in the house alone refusing to pay I dread to think what would have happened.

£45 call-out? Think of it as the cover charge. The real bill comes later.

I called 24/7 Emergency Services because they advertised a £45 emergency call-out. A local engineer arrived promptly, explained that a replacement part costing £85 was needed, and completed the repair in around one hour. He was professional and did an excellent job.

Then 24/7 called demanding £439.

Apparently, one hour of work had somehow become £305 for labour and testing. None of this was mentioned before the work started. When I challenged the charge, I was repeatedly told the pricing was on their website. I checked thoroughly. It isn't.

What you're actually paying for isn't just a plumber. You're paying a middleman who markets online, dispatches a local subcontractor and then invoices you hundreds of pounds more than you were led to expect.

The most disappointing part wasn't the engineer—it was the complete lack of pricing transparency from the company taking the payment.

My advice? If you value your wallet, get the full labour cost in writing before anyone picks up a spanner. Otherwise, that tempting £45 call-out could become one of the most expensive bargains you'll ever find.

For a block toilet they asked for a booking fee of 45£ adding labour (no repair required) to 365£
They did not clarify charges, or if Vat was included. The office lady was extremely rude and unprofessional

Tapped in Google search for a plumber and the name of the company Emergency Fixers LTD stating Google guarantees suddenly on Google searches gives a different address for the said company. Clearly BES had manipulated the web page was quoted £49 call out fee this company does give you final hourly rate until you get the invoice. £169 per hour times five and parts over a thousand pounds when the work could have been done in less 3 hours talk about being ripped off DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

This company isnt even worth the 1 star. Nor the title of best emergency services. To be a company who claims to help those in need then charge the earth to rectify a problem. But we have been left with broken floor tiles, that aren't secure and are now a trip hazard. And a bill of nearly £700. The sealant is everywhere

Called a 'local' landline number (01793 384000) for an emergency boiler call out. It didn't even ring, yet 0333 057 5659 called me back. I said that my carbon monoxide alarm was sounding. They went straight into taking down my address details. Told me an engineer would visit within 1 to 1.5 hours and a call out fee if £45 would be charged. No explanation of any hourly charges thereafter, just said labour would be additional.

I booked a call out where you'd think the fee would have been taken? 🤔 It wasn't. I called again 5 minutes later to cancel as this didn't feel right, and was told I needed to pay the £45 as engineer was on the way. I asked them to prove this - obviously they couldn't, instead just reeled off some rubbish, so I put the phone down. Thereafter, I received 2 calls from 07782337595, 4 calls from 07441911032, 3 calls from 07846864738, and 8 calls from 03330575659... All within 2 hours.
This is harassment.
They are desperate for your money.

I am reporting to ACTION FRAUD and TRADING Standards. If we don't report, they'll continue to scam and intimidate people. They do not even have a presence in the UK!! They are a middle man company, employing people who would charge FAR less.

Terrible experience. Woke up with no electricity and the RCD unit hard to understand how to diagnose where the problem was. I pulled out all the plugs in the house but still couldn’t get RCD switch up. Googled and found this company who appeared to have four star reviews and a local phone number. I rang and was told the call out fee was £45 with labour costs on top which sounded reasonable and I was also told an engineer would arrive within 90 minutes. Three and a half hours later he turned up. He asked if I’d removed all the plugs from
their sockets and I said I had. He then asked if I had a garden plug, which I do, but I’d forgotten about it. Of course it was the garden plug that was the problem. He turned it off at the isolator switch and offered to replace the plug with a new one. I said no as I was worried about the cost. He then phoned his office to say how long he had taken and
I heard him say 20 minutes, which was about right. I then had to wait for the office to call me with a price, which they did and I was gobsmacked to hear that it was £345. They later emailed me an invoice and the fee was broken down into £45 call out fee, £30 inspection fee, £80 diagnostic fee and labour £190.
I told them this was ridiculous but they insisted that it was correct. I paid up but will never use them again and will advise others not to either. They are very obviously exploiting people who need their electricity problems sorted out quickly but their fees are extremely misleading as is their website.

Due to an Electrical emergency we sought help from this company. We were aware of the fees involved, but were reassured they could help. The tradesmen arrived clearly unwell he actually told us he was ill. He inspected fuse box and within 10 minutes told us we needed a full rewire. No explanation why. £180 for 10 mins work. Ripped off

SCAM!! was quoted £49 for a call out fee to be hit with a £350 bill. Engineer was lovely and was as equally appalled when I was told how much I was being charged. I will NEVER use this company again. I was unaware this was a ‘middle man company’ who outsources work to local tradesmen and whacks on hefty surcharges. I was told “I was getting a good deal and it would be far more expensive with someone else”. Appalling!

What an absolute scam!!! Avoid at all costs! Called them at 6pm and they assured me someone would be with me within the hour. Called again at 7.30 and I was told an engineer was 2 minutes away. Called again at 8pm and I was told 20 minutes.

The engineer arrived at 9pm. I spoke to the lovely, very professional engineer who uses this agency to help his business and he said he would have charged me far, far less as it was a simple water pressure job. The agency charged £229, he would have charged £100.

Ignore the £49 call-out that draws you in and ignore the ‘within the hour’ promise!

Do not use this company! Absolute scam, sounds the same as all other reviews…£49 call out charge with no commitment after diagnosis has been given. 10 minutes after ‘highly skilled engineer’ poured boiling hot water down the sink pressed the restart button on the boiler and they were ringing demanding £300 to be bank transferred.
No diagnostic details, invoice, didn’t want our email address to document anything. Refused to pay thankfully as 20 minutes later the error message came back on.
Need to be investigated as feel sorry for those that are intimidated into paying.

Didn’t want to even put one star. £49 call out said clearly on the phone I’m under no obligation to pay any more until agreed. Then after we found the boiler can’t be fixed tried charging me £240. Then the lady on the phone was rude and said I’ve repeated my self like 100 times. Shame she didn’t understand any of the first 99 times.

Avoid at all costs!!! Absolutely awful company! Called at 17.24 to be told 1 hour call out 1 hour and a half max. Called them at 1.5 hours as heard nothing to be told the engineer would call me. 15 minutes later still no call so I called them again the engineer then called me and told me he had only just been given the job and would be with me within the hour. I told him I would not be in and to cancel. “Customer Services” called me very aggressively to tell me I would still have to pay the call out charge! I said absolutely not he hasn’t even been here and will not be here in the time advised.

I moved into a new flat and there was issues with the electricity. It was the weekend and so I couldn’t call my estate agent. So in a panic I picked up the phone and rang this company who claim to be an emergency electrician service. They said they’re callout fee was £49 plus VAT. They said they would send somebody within the hour and then it took them three hours to send somebody. This person as soon as he arrived, his behaviour was rude and unprofessional. He had no clue what he was talking about, and I started to doubt whether he was really an electrician. He did absolutely nothing to investigate or fix the problem. He had no tools with him. And then before he left, he demanded that I make a bank transfer of £469, claiming that it was an out of hours service. This amount was not at all agreed to in advance and totally unjustified because he did absolutely no work. He refused to leave my flat until I sent him the amount on the spot. The company wouldn’t even invoice me even though I requested an invoice afterwards. No price breakdown. When I reported the scam to my bank and try to get my money back, they told me that this is a civil dispute. I’m reading all these reviews here and it’s shocking how this company are still being allowed to operate even though they’re taking large amounts of money from people like candy from a baby.
