SCAM…. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. This is along review but please read it They lied from the first phone call. My son went to college to train as an electrician but the college never found him an apprenticeship. Rather than give up he went on line and found this company 24/7. They promised to do his final year while studying from home and practical at a local college. Everything sounded good. This was just after COVID the reviews were good, since found out put on by the company themselves. A zoom call is set up and a guy called Derrick probably not real name tells you that you get all the qualifications you’ll need, very convincing. Because my son had been to college he said it would take a year at most My son had to go through credit checks and then signed up for the course which has cost him £6.500 pounds, direct debit over 3 years. Work books were delivered and my son completed loads sent them off and received more over the 1st year but no practical work. When questioned the answer was more work to do lies lies lies. We even went to where they are supposed to be based 150 miles from us and guess what no one there all day. Can’t get any straight answers from people who do eventually answer a phone. The money involved is from a loan company so couldn’t cancel. Derek who zoom called us conveniently retired not long after, lies again. I know this is a long review but people like this should not be allowed to get away with ripping people off. If you do read this please please please do not make the same mistake.

Scam Scam Scam!!!! I cannot believe I fell for this. 7k down the drain. Do not go with them. They just keep sending work books, saying I have to complete the next book before they can send me to college. Absolutely fuming

24/7 training offer a variety of courses to learn, they have assisted me on my electrical course by providing all the relevant material required to learn my modules aswell as loads of revision and learning various material within their portal. They're always swift with their responses when I've requested assistance also !

They are con artist and performing day light robbery they misell you a course with no intentions of actually helping you it’s a scam in which they only want money and when u call to leave due to this being missold they give rude and snappy response , wouldn’t make my worse enemy go threw the experience I have , they tricked me out of 7,500 and gave me nothing to show for it they force you into a contract then abandon you high and dry …… trading standards will be informed of all relevant information on this matter but absolutely disgusting and unacceptable when people just want to better them self they prey on the vulnerable people

This is absolutely a scam, when I took this course on they asked me to pay £16 deposit, which I did but after that I have been told from a friend of mine that this college is a scam. So I try to cancel my course but when I called college they said you have to speak with a finance company, which is Scott finance and when I call finance company they said you need to speak with college. I went around the circle few times but by then 14 days were over so I got stuck with paying them £180 a month, I try to cancel my direct debit but they put missing payments on my credit report, which I couldn’t afford at a time because I was trying to get a mortgage same time when so I carried on paying this till today, but now I’m looking to take legal opinion, if any of you already approached someone to help you and they manage to help you please let me know. I also think this Scott finance company is also in wrong because when I try to cancel my course I asked them simply if you’re putting so much pressure on me to pay this balance which you paid to third party on my behalf Im sure you have a power to demand this back on my behalf from third party because it wasn’t too late, because really and truly this money didn’t came in directly in to our accounts did they so how we all are responsible to pay them back, really it should be college. This college is just a scam and trap for people they are making easy money by trapping hard working people like us and who want to take a chance to try something else for better and brighter future. Really any truly I don’t understand why trading standards haven’t taken any action against them.

This is a scam I'm still paying 180 a month for the last 2 years has anyone got them done yet and got there money back would love to know as ive been pay 180 for the last 2 years and I've got no where with them would love to get my money back fro. Them !!

I did not have time for a college course. They sold me well. College would have been far superior.

£7800 over 3.5 years at £180 a month.
Horrendous in the economic climate.

Seeking a legal opinion on this company

I wish I'd done more research before signing up but I was going through a bit of a crisis and wasn't really thinking straight. After being sold a wonderful story of how you can get qualified super fast reality sets in. Put it this way I'm 2 years and on practical week 2 as they try to cram 5 weeks into 3 visits and the class only goes as fast as the slowest person Each center study is 5 days block so how much holiday do you have to spare currently......none? Then hmmmm.

Travel for me to my NEAREST center is 120miles and accommodation I've paid between £300 - £400 each time not including food. Look where the centers are before you buy!!! That being said I've found the Southampton center really good and the knowledge is spot on. Thanks Steve!

They are a third party however so just because they're good doesn't improve my rating of 247.

Communication is slack and if you call expect one word or maybe two if your lucky before the phone is hung up. You spend £100s on acc and don't even get a booking confirmation you're on the course until you turn up on the day and pray your names on the register. Hotels aren't refundable unless you pay 100s more for flexi.

Course costs can be up to £8500 on monthly payments and runs for around 3.5years after that if you haven't completed it, it will cost you year on year to finish.

You may read this and think we'll Ive got more time than him he must just be lazy...at times your not wrong and yea i want to have some fun with my kids once in a while, but i also put in the work just other things then slow you down like booking for your weeks. I'm a husband and father of two and if you have minor child care commitments and you like a week family holiday a year then it's going to be a push as realistically there's only 1 week in each quarter for you to get into center anyway. So leaves you 3 months in-between to get another 20modules completed and all the center revision tasks before you can even apply for the next week, and by that time you may have missed it.

I've met quite a few people on my center visits now who say exactly this so if this review helps people to really think about what they're signing up for before then job done. You need money and savings behind you to do this if you need to travel and take unpaid time off work, unless you like staying in a shed in someone's garden through Airbnb.

After over 2 years on the course I am still on the level 2 course, trying without success to drop out of the course

24/7 College charges £7000 for a course where they don't do any work. The material feels like it was written hastily years ago. It has significant amounts of unnecessary repetition, as well as many grammatical and spelling errors. The actual practical sessions seem to be carried out by a different company. The company is incredibly resistant to sending you any material until they absolutely have to. I called up asking for BS761 (wiring regulations) several times as I hadn't received it. The practical session company expected me to already have it. On a call just before writing this review, they essentially accused me of lying, saying I must have received it in order to have passed the tests so far on the course. In reality, I have bought several other books to compensate for not having BS7671.

I have been trying to drop out of the course, as the level 3 side requires me to take 5 weeks of annual leave, which I am unable to do. They insist that I cannot drop out of the course.

If anyone knows of a legal loophole that would let me drop out of the course early, please let me know before I pay the full £7000!

One of the worst companies you will find. They trick you into signing up saying you can do it whitest working then later inform you you will need to take 4 whole weeks off work within the 3 years. When you phone the customer services they are very rude and unhelpful as a whole a do not understand where you are coming from. You cannot change the course once you have started. The person who you are initially in contact with will not get back into contact with you once you have started the course and will not help you with anything. If you try phone or message them they will not get back to you. The course feels like a scam and you can feel stuck. This is wrong as I joined this course for the freedom of being able to do the course out of work.

This course is a self studies at home, they won't hold your hand.
I just finished all my exams dine and I qualified for the level 2 diploma in plumbing and heating but there is a problem here.
To go forward for the NVQ you require a qualified person to assist you and I'm really struggling to find someone from 2 months. The course told me at the beginning that they will sort out all this stuff but apparently IS NOT TRUE.
So now I'm stuck with the course half way!!

Really having trouble trying to get out of this, still paying £180 a month and have been for over a year and half now, what is the best way to get out of it? Just want to be free from this scam!! Any help would be greatly appreciated

Feel free to contact me to share your experiences with this company as I have just been made aware that I have been scammed. I am in the process of hopefully getting my money back. Finance company is trying to contact me. I do not want debt collectors. Please advise me.

SCAM!!DO NOT GO WITH THIS COMPANY!! This company stole 7k of me!! I started the course, they sent me a load of out of date manuals to go through. After a month I wanted to cancel but they wouldn’t let me (so much for the 30 day cooling off period!)

As they wouldn’t let me cancel, I thought I’d go with it anyway (saves loosing money) and they made it impossible for me to get to do some hands on training!! Currently I am taking them to court to get my money back. Office staff are a joke, trainers are a bigger joke! AVOID AT ALL COST!!

Requested information on courses offered twice and neither time did anyone bother to get back to me. Wouldn't fill me with confidence if I were to use them for any learning.

At the start of my course had plenty of time to get everything done which I was doing. However my circumstances changed a lot a few months in with parent becoming disabled and requiring full time care along with my current job. So have asked for it to be cancelled but felt pretty disgusted when they said they still believe I have the time to complete it. Refuse to cancel my course. Then take 10 days for them to reply via a letter which is also pretty disgusting.

Daily mail ran an article on this issue and another one fairly similar, I would recommend reading it and have a chat to jobs aware, as many of you will know there isn't much that can be done at the moment but fingers crossed things will progress.

Please has anyone gotten out of the agreement yet because it seems many people have this issue and the threat you with debt collection agencies???

Scam the best way to get out is to contact your bank and tell them to stop and block all payments. They will send you letters saying you owe them money and will take you to court but these letters will stop after 4 or 5 times and nothing will happen to you I promise. I hope I helped everyone who fell to victim like me.
