This company has done nothing but waste my time and money. We started the process in January 2022 and a YEAR AND HALF later, we still don't have a divorce. An amicable, 0 property, 0 kid divorce, i.e. no major complexities. Most recently, they failed to notify us for a month that our paperwork was rejected (3rd rejection, all for simple mistakes, rather than legal ones). After multiple calls and requests, I finally spoke to a supervisor, who he would return my call after gathering all my paperwork to send to me so I could move on to using the lawyer I've retained. Surprise surprise, no call. My lawyer says they have made beyond stupid mistakes and he isn't surprised the court rejected the paperwork. This company lacks communication, professionalism or basic knowledge.

This company took my money for services that I later couldn’t access and when I paid for the added fee filing service, it took them 3 months to file which they later did in the wrong court location and never even notified me it was rejected! Let that sink. Moreover, they not only ignored all of my emails and voicemails (response rate of 1 email to every 8 emails I would send), after I finally got through to someone on the phone they only refunded me 1/3 of the filing cost. 1 third and no refund for the original standard services I later couldn’t even access. In short, they caused me and my family extreme, ongoing stress and delayed my divorce by several months, not to mention they essentially stole my money as they did not provide the services I paid for and did absolutely nothing to rectify or even communicate with me at any time. Nothing. If they ever responded to 1 out of 8 of my emails, it took them on average 10 days to respond. Also, in the few responses I ever received over the course of 6 months, it was always with a generic auto robot response that never answered the question asked. All documented. All reported. Company is advertising their services falsely and I like the rest of the public had no clue yet I paid an immense cost at the worst time of my life. Had to take time off to file divorce properly myself, months later and even the court file clerk said he had heard horror stories about this company! Absolutely horrifying experience with so much I haven’t even covered, making an already painful divorce process even harder. No one should be subjected to such an unethical company as this, especially during such a vulnerable time in their life. Unconscionable behavior. I will be taking legal action and reporting them.

I did not like the fact that when I asked u all if u could cancel the payments of $84.00 from my card because I was now paying $168,00 for the next four months,
You people did not even respond back to my email
All you all care about is the money and not helping the people when they write to you all.
That is disrespectful and rude as far as I am concerned,

The questions were easy to navigate. I had trouble viewing anything on my laptop and had to do it all from phone.
There are some pop ups that get missed that way.
Customer service was a little difficult to get hold of but once on the line they were extremely helpful.

This has been a complete nightmare. I would advise you to not use this company. If we actually wind up divorced after this debacle, I'll consider changing my review, but this has been the WORST experience. I've shed tears over this because we've now paid these people $1000, and have been trying to use them for over 4 months now, and our paperwork still hasn't been filed. Going through a divorce is already one of the hardest things someone can go through, and this place makes it SO much worse. You can't get a response from anyone, the information you DO get conflicts, they lose your paperwork.. ugh, it's so awful. I'm wondering now if we just need to give up and use some place else, but I feel like we've invested so much time and money into this company. I truly don't know what to do at this point. I'm so utterly disappointed, disillusioned, and helpless. I'm so disappointed in myself too, that I picked this place out of all the ones available. What a freaking nightmare. Please save your money and use literally anyone else. I'm beginning to think this isn't even a legit operation. The latest is they say they don't have three of the documents that we sent them over a month ago, signed and notarized.... They literally sent my husband copies of the three documents they say they are missing, as a copy for his own file, signed, notarized, and completed!! Did they leave them in the copy machine and now they are lost?? Where did they go? They clearly had the documents if they could send my husband copies of them. What a complete sham. At this point, my husband thinks it's malicious, but I can't imagine anyone would want to intentionally hurt people in this way. I can only assume it's ineptitude or just sheer lack of care or good business practice. Regardless of the motive behind it, it's truly been a horrid experience. I've only left one bad review in my entire life, but I just want to save even one person from having the same experience that we've had. And I should add, our divorce is literally about as easy as it can get - we don't have children, we have agreed to everything, we double and triple checked every document before sending... I just don't understand why they won't help us.

Also, the number and email address that they put below the negative reviews is the phone number and email they don’t answer or return calls from so that’s useless. If you actually care, reach out to me and fix this. Please do the right thing. You are hurting people more during one of the hardest times of their lives.

Light weight and very quiet

Very scammy business. Bought the full service package. They keep telling me a docusign will sent and it's been a month. Then they say they can't do a return because it's been over a month. Terrible customer service. STAY AWAY!!!

As of now all experiences have been good.

It’s starting to feel scammy. I wish we read the reviews before paying the fees. We paid for the upgrade to have them file it for us. We completed everything and it was not clear what the next steps were. I called customer service and it seems like it’s always the same person picking up, she’s always impatient or annoyed. Then we emailed and they did say we will be getting a welcome package and DocuSign but it’s been a while now.

This has been the worst experience!
I paid the fee, filled the forms out, had them notarized and went on my way to the courthouse to file my papers! Everything should have been great right? Except when I got there, they went thru all the forms, and told me they were useless and asked where I had gotten them. I then reached out to customers service requesting a refund due to the court rejecting the forms based on that they used none of them on 2/16
And my credit card gets hit 2 more times! once on 2/17, a day after I requested a refund and again today! No refund. And ABSOLUTELY NO RESPONSE FROM CUSTOMER SERVICE EITHER!

Did not have the correct paperwork for my county. Error when trying to download the PDF (had to instead download the editable copy). Did not respond to emails for help. Could not use them to file because it was the wrong county in my state. They have not replied to any of my messages.

Bought the premium package and submitted on 11/2022. As of now, 2/14/2023, absolutely no response, either by email or by phone. Multiple requests filed from the web page "Customer Support Center" and all I got is an auto email response.

We have been waiting on 3StepDivorce for MONTHS. They advertise a quick and easy process, but are completely unresponsive. We completed everything on our end, they said they would process our forms and send us the next steps shortly after, we haven't heard from them in more than 3 months. We have called and emailed countless times and they have not responded to a single message. The raving reviews are nothing like our experience with 3StepDivorce and we are starting to wonder if we have been scammed.

Update- It is now 1 week later, they responded to our email and said we should receive a tracking number for our documents, nothing yet.

Mar 30 - Update (7 weeks later): I have completed which I believe all paperwork needed which included marital settlement agreement and decree. 3StepDivorce received this signed paperwork from me on Mar 23rd but still have not filed with courts. I have been emailing to see when they will file this with courts with no response! I was told I still have another packet to be sent to me but when I asked what’s in this packet because I believe I have submitted all signed paperwork the response was “I do not know”.

Feb 9th - I did finally receive a response to let me know my forms were turned into the courts on Jan 25th. But I asked several questions on my email and that’s the only response I received. I would also like to know how long does it take for the courts to actually file the petition? Estimated time frame. It has been 2 weeks since submitted and I have not received any updates. I do not know what actions/steps if any I should be taking. I have no case number or confirmation other than me just being told papers turned in. Or do I just wait the 60 days and hope its being taken care of???

Jan 30th Currently Im rating one star. I sent my completed paperwork mid November which I understand can be busy time of year to file. I paid the extra fee to have 3stepdivorce file for me. I turned in all paperwork and also had to resend paperwork due to missing a signature. I have sent 5 emails and left voicemail to check status on when my paperwork will be filed. It has been over 2 wks since and Im unable to get a response. I feel I have had patience during this stressful time. But it has now been 3.5 months since original paper sent and my divorce still not filed with court.

So far I have paid my money I have been calling for 3 days and no one has picked up the phone . No one calls me back no one emails me back . Before I gave my money I was able to get a hold of person ever since I paid no one has answered one call I have made

This website seems to be a toss-up. Personal experience isn't the best as it has been using VERY VERY old papers that the courts will not accept. I'm in north dakota and the self-help courts are MORE than easy to fill out yourself. do not use this site if you live in north dakota as they use papers from 2003 and are MORE THAN overdue of an update as the current papers that the Self-help ND website are the most updated as they are from 2020. you will most likely not get a refund as i sent a help request from their site 7 days ago and the confirmation email says they will respond within 24 hours. Please look at other reviews and see if they list your state and if the papers are updated for that state.

3stepdivorce is a very good way to solve your problems and divorce I would recommend that everyone tries this method out

I purchased the 3-step divorce contract on 1/05/23.
Under Minnesota State Law, I am exercising my right to withdraw from this contract, within 3 business days, effective immediately, 01/07/23.
Please issue an immediate refund to my original payment method. I left a phone message, and I intend to dispute this charge with my cc company. Thank you for your immediate response. Thank you for contacting us. Please specify the reason for the refund request. Furthermore, if you intend to dispute or already have disputed the transaction in question - Then there is nothing we can do and you must deal with your bank from here on out.
I already stated that my refund request is based on Minnesota State Law which allows me to withdraw from a financial contract within 3 days. I also stated that I would dispute the transaction with my credit card company if I was not refunded. Under Minnesota Law, I do not need to give a reason for a refund, only that I request cancellation and refund within 3 days. Therefore, please refund this transaction. I reserve the right to post my experience with 3-step divorce in Minnesota across social media platforms. This is necessary for vendors of a service like this for the purpose of complete transparency of service.
Per our refund policy, when a refund is requested we require the reason for the refund. Please take whatever steps you deem necessary. Furthermore, Nolo isn't a Minnesota based company. It is based in California. The reason for the refund is simple. The product falls far short of my expectations, Being that you are a company supplying legal documents under a contract, it doesn't matter that your company is located in California, you are still governed by the laws of the state of Minnesota.
Being that you choose not to sign your name to your correspondence with me further demonstrates the lack of professionalism that I expect when purchasing a product or service like yours. Your website also states an ironclad refund guarantee which appears to be untrue. I gave you the opportunity to issue me a refund which my credit card company will ultimately issue anyway. You are choosing not to refund me, so I will start a massive social media campaign proving the deliberate and misleading claims of your website and its phony money-back guarantee. I will also file a complaint with the Honorable Keith Ellison, Attorney General for the state of Minnesota, seeking full reimbursement and damages to include all purchases of your product from unknowing victims of your sham in the state of Minnesota. I will also file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau in Pleasanton, CA. I will provide all contacts with this exact thread, and since you use Trustpilot as a major source for your reviews, I shall start there. Now, do you really think that not refunding my transaction is going to be worth all of the legal fee's you are about to incur? After writing a complaint to the Minnesota Attorney General, and blasting this review throughout social media outlets, 3stepdivorce refunded me on 01/10/2023. Never let a company like this bully you into believing that they are offering a valuable service, for something that you can get for free from your local county courthouse, My review of them is still very negative, and I would discourage anyone from using this company who preys on the misfortune of individuals who do not have the answers to divorce. Get them FREE at your county courthouse!

Website was very easy to use. Answer your questions and for forms are created for you.
