4Wheel Drive Hardware Avis 

I ordered a winch from them because it seemed like an amazing deal, at least $100 less than anywhere else. They claim that everything on their site is "in stock and ready to ship right away". This is untrue. After about a week I emailed them asking for an update on my order. They replied late the next day, using a different company's email address, that they had to check with the manufacturer... I thought, that can't be right.

After doing some digging I found out that 4wd is owned by Transamerican Auto Parts, who also own 4WheelParts along with a few other auto part "stores".

I personally wouldn't recommend or trust any of their online storefronts. The whole thing seems pretty shady.

Ordered parts on 4/7/19, 3 of the 4 showed up, 1 had damage, 1 on backorder till early June. I sent a picture of the damaged pack on day delivered. I have tried calling, on hold for an hour on last attempt. Every time I email they assign a new ticket and assign it to some one new. They have not contacted me other than to say they've created a new ticket. I've returned the damaged parts and asked for refund on them and on back ordered parts a still have heard nothing. LONG STORY SHORT, I WOULD NOT ORDER FROM THEM AGAIN. I WOULD RECOMMEND THAT YOU DON'T EITHER.

Horrible Customer Service and inaccurate information on their website. Ordered a Axle Shaft for my Dana 35c on my daily. Listed as the passenger side with the correct length and press in studs. Sent me the drivers side at the wrong length with screw in studs. Stuck using the shaft and my break drum doesn't fit over my brakes as i cannot afford to spend more money on another shaft that they screwed up in the first place.

I ordered some Jeep shackles for my YJ. When they arrived they turned out to be a 3/4" lift shackle. I emailed them and let them know that they were not marked as such on their website and I'd need to return them. Upon finding out that I was responsible for paying return shipping IN ADDITION to covering the shipping they used to ship initially, I explained that they did not have the part adequately labeled on their website and because of that fact, I'd like them to cover the shipping.
The first reply was prompt, but completely ignored my request and told me to return it to a local store or fill out the return form. I replied and explained that their wasn't a store anywhere near my state and reiterated that I felt they should be responsible for return shipping and a full refund since they didn't label the part correctly.
Five days went by with no reply.
I emailed again and tell them it's been a week since my reply further detailing the situation.
Now that they realized that I wasn't going to go away, I received a second reply, this time a different customer service rep that simply told me I was going to be responsible because they didn't mess anything up on their end.
I have screen shots of the emails and of the webpage lacking the correct details, just in case they tried to change it before refunding me.

I would give them 1 star due to them taking no responsibility for their error and because they blatantly ignored my time sensitive (addition restocking fee after 30days) concern. However, the product was sturdy and well packaged, so I gave them a bonus star. Too bad it wasn't what I needed. Shipping was average. Not fast, but not slow.

I would 100% NOT recommend this company, unless you're prepared to call your credit card and cancel payment.

RIP OFF company, Ordered wheels and tires mounted and balanced with center caps. the caps came in wrong and don't fit the truck, Contacted customer service (Kevin)and was told no problem we will send you the right ones, 4 weeks later no caps, contacted the sales department (Alan) and was told that customer service don't know anything they are not sales and was told there is no center caps available to fit my 96 Ford truck just have to run them without center caps. Sorry about your Luck. Have a nice day. What a company. Will never do business with them again.

This company falsely takes your money does not have the product in stock has no intention of shipping it and then gives you a run around. I am sure we're going to have to fight to get a return tomorrow. every single person I speak to on the phone is Shady at best. Any of the people complaining on this site I am going to trying to find out where they are licensed and contact the Attorney General of that state. This is the most horrible crooked deceitful predatorial company I've ever dealt with

This outfit uses several names. One employee said eleven different websites. 4WP.com is the clue. If you have problems, call sales. If customer service ever answers emails or phones it would only be beyond your patience. My parts are four weeks and holding. Cannot get answers. I finally called Rockhard direct and ordered there. I will deal with refunds later. I hope!

Totally useless!! Ordered 4 tires, waited 4 days for the order to be processed and it never was!! Called them, waited on hold for 30 minutes to find out it will take 2 weeks for the tires to be shipped from the manufacturer!! Now I am waiting for my refund of $913 bucks! The next call will be to the better business bureau!

Well guess i should of looked for reviews first on this company. Wow ! Customer service over the phone was off to a rocky start and then became fantastic in the end I was requested to jump through hoops and change my address to send tires to another address of my own which was ridiculous even my bank thought it was ridiculous so after that gets resolved I place the order call back a week later that's when I'm informed that my tires are on backorder here we are 2 weeks later no new information no responding to the emails that are sent nothing I got a good deal on the tires so I'm being patient but this is a bit ridiculous in this day and age, I'm now reading here that it's taking people five weeks or more to get there tires I will cancel my order before I dare wait that long to save $100 on a set of tires

People give this company a lot of crap but you just have to be Patient if you are getting tires customer service was good shipping was longer than I thought but i got my tires in about 5 weeks

With all the bad reviews I don't think I will be ordering anything for my 74 CJ5. About 80% is kind of poor customer service. I would expect around 97 or better.

Absolutely the worst company to deal with. I bought a fox steering stabilizer from them . and They told me it wasnt in stock. Then I called back to see when that part would be in. They told it would take 3-6 weeks. So I cancelled my order. And now I have been waiting over a week to get it refunded into my account.

Ordered 10 bolts. They sent me 10 rubber grommets. Called and said I received the wrong parts. They sent me 1 bolt. Called and said I needed the other 9 and needed them overnight. Said they would check with the vendor and call me back. No call back. Called them again, they do not have stock. Have wasted 3 weeks dealing with them. Don't bother.

Garbage company, lied to me 2 times, one time they said they could not bill one address then ship to another i said ok ship it to the billing address and they proceeded to tell me it would arrive in a week maybe a few days past a week, i call them nearly two weeks later and they tell me they wont have the tires in their warehouse until a month and a half after i placed my original order. the employees at this company are deceitful lairs and deserve to lose their jobs and this business just needs to go under already.

Toni if that was her name is terrible at customer service. Shipped wrong part and wants me to pay to return it. Rude on phone, disconnected me after 45 minutes on hold. DO NOT BUY THERE!

They sent me an incomplete Jeep Top. It was clearly a customer return (dirty, no manual, and none of the hardware.) Phone rep wouldn't send proactive replacement, so I told her to just refund and I'd buy elsewhere. Her response..."Matters not to me." I own a business with a customer service department. I just can't imagine.

ordered stuff they charged me for it even though they wouldn't have it in stock for over month. about a month later I began to wonder where my order went so I sent 2 emails and heard nothing back. Then I called to find out that the address needed to be "verified", which does not make sense because I always use that address, then he told me it wasn't in stock. He said the computer just charges people whether or not they have it in stock. pretty classic example of horrible customer service. obviously a company that puts all its energy into advertisement, not service.

Ordered tires that were listed as ‘in stock’ online.. because I was wary of them actually being in stock, I called several days later and was assured they were in route and should be delivered the following week. After 3 weeks, I called again and was told the tires were back ordered for at least 4 more weeks. A phone call or some kind of customer service would have been great, I’ll never do business with 4wd again
