5 Minutes to Delhi Avis 

Delivery etc was good. I ordered a selection of different meals and took them with me on a camping trip. They were easy and quick to prepare and all were tasty. However I felt that all the meals were too salty. How about putting in less salt and allowing customers to add their own according to their personal preference? I think eating too much salt is a bad idea so it makes the dishes rather less healthy and less enjoyable.

Now I'm a little long in the tooth, I don't do much tent camping these days, instead I choose to sleep over in my little van in discreet locations and one thing I like to do is have some quick and easy meal alternatives to hand in case no pubs are available.
I've never been one for carrying dried meal packets around made by the big camping food manufacturers as they generally work out quite expensive, but when I came across 5 Minutes To Deli, I thought I would give them a try as I thought the price seemed quite reasonable and I needed to stock up for future trips.
I was a little sceptical at first about the potential flavour strength with them being suitable for Vegans as I've found this genre of food a little bland for my tastes, but I must say how much I enjoyed my first meal, the Vegetable Kolhapuri.
I used a microwave rice pack but decided to heat the whole thing as I would if camping by heating the rice with a little water in a saucepan while re-hydrating the Kolhapuri in a bowl and boiling water.
Unlike some of the negative comments, I was really impressed by the ease of preparation and more over the flavour of the product, I was expecting to get that slightly "cardboardy" taste but there was no evidence of that at all. Granted, I have only tried the one meal ahead of this review and it's not like you're sitting down to a restaurant meal but if the rest of my selection taste the same then I'll be well happy. I have added my remaining sachets to my van camping food pack.

Excellent food and excellent customer service. They upgraded us to express shipping for free (completely my mistake with not booking quicker shipping first time) and it came in time for our backpacking trip.

All the meals were absolutely delicious, and really helped warm us in our tents after a long day hiking!

Simple to cook, we used a silicone bag to "cook" each meal. Delicious. Sorry for the slow review!

The flavour! It’s true! I have ME and saw someone recommend these. Ideal for spoonies. I can just have 1/2 or 1/3 with bread and it tastes amazing. Ready meals are just urgh, this tastes like restaurant food! I make it with boiling water by mixing it in my rice cooker on rice setting and leaving it (lid off) for 8 mins it’s perfect.Love love love!

A fantastic aroma and warmth coming from a pack that only takes 5 minutes to be ready. It's perfect for dinner in a rush and especially when camping. Get a rice and two curries and you have the best tasting food on the campsite!

Really good product ! I tried these with friends who had them when we went camping. So tasty and easy to make. Have bought myself since and they’re great to have at work for a quick easy lunch that’s nutritious and filling. Very good !

Absolutely love these curries! Originally we bought them for convenience. I am severely disabled and when my husband is away these were an easy way to prepare a quick meal for me; however they are so delicious that we now even use them when we do have time to cook and we add our own vegetables and side dishes. They taste fresh; we love the spice levels and they have lots of vegan options too (though they tend to run out so we order double at a time. It’s hard to believe that you can achieve this level of taste and texture in a virtually instant meal!

Absolute perfection and absolutely affordable, great for pairing with flat breads easy to make quick and even in the great outdoors, communication from the company is quick and keeps you informed, postage and packaging were top quality.

Bought 6 meals, unfortunately all tasted very similar, which was a below average salty / spicy mix.

They consisted of watery sauce with very few recognisable vegetables.

Won't be ordering again.

The proper taste of authentic Indian food! V easy, makes wfh lunches uplifitng and nutritious.

These Indian meals are quick and easy to prepare, tasty and way healthier and much less expensive than takeaways. So if you haven’t time to cook, they’re perfect.

I was really looking forward to these, but they were very VERY salty and they all tasted the same (I bought a selection of 5 or 6), and the taste wasn't good. I'm really sorry, but given there are so many positive reviews, either I got a bad batch, or someone in production had left something out.

So far so good . From a starter package have had two so far . Follow instructions and great authentic results.
What is interesting are future options .

I love these packets! Full of flavour, no additives or preservatives, they have become a great favourite with us. As well as individual meals I also use them as a base for stews, perfectly spiced and I always get complimented on my curries!

I tried the poha and it’s amazing it’s perfectly giving me feel of home made.

Have tried a number of the meals and very much enjoyed them, I enjoy the taste and the convenience of them. They are great value and customer service is excellent.

I've really been enjoying these. Often don't get home until late and they're perfect to eat then, simple and quick to make and tasty. I did have one the other night that was a bit watery, still tasty and that could've been me adding too much water as I've had the same packet before with no issues. Delivery is brilliant too.

I followed the instructions extremely carefully, following the microwave method. However ended up with a bowl of very watery spicy water. I suspect instructions might me wrong on the packet of Aloo Matar I received. I suspect the issue is too much water (250ml to 260ml) or not enough product in packet to soak up the water
