exceptional.
For me they have been exceptional with every interaction at Ashmore on the Gold Coast. I would recommend them to anyone. Great friendly and timely service, reasonable prices, great access. All good
Terrible quality bike and absolutely no…
Terrible quality bike and absolutely no back up from 99 bikes, I bought a pedal raider last year and in 3 months It started creaking and clunking, also I have had spokes snapping.
They would not honour the warranty stating wear and tear. Even though the bike gets delivered directly from the overseas manufacturers and never passes through 99 bikes mechanics for quality control. They cannot verify the quality of the purchase. My bike was supposed to be "the ultimate gravel machine", "for your daily commute or spending weekends exploring Forrest trails". But then they say that dust can inhibit the running gear so it's not covered by warranty. I could understand if my bike was a year or two old, but only 3 months? Really!
99 bikes have no interest in this situation and I'm sure are just hoping for me to just buy another bike from them.
Very disappointed, worst bike and service I've ever experienced.
Friendly polite service - nice!!
Very friendly, helpful and polite service and advice from Austin and Tom today, at 99 Mitchell in the ACT, thanks lads. Such a pleasure to be welcomed and to receive great service, and advice, love your work, well done!
Terrible service - bike broken after service brakes didn't work and unhelpful team
Took my mothers bike in for a service, once the bike came back, there rear brake pad on one side wasn't touching the rotor, causing the brake to not work. I nearly crashed while testing riding it and they claimed they test rode it. Unknown how and why they did this as it was not listed in the service to adjust the brakes. The staff were rude and unapologetic to my mother, so I came in with the bike to explain what was wrong with it (I work on cars and this isn't rocket science to see what was wrong). They did not offer a refund, and it had to be taken up with a head office, who were very apologetic and did sort a refund. I have had good experience with other 99 bikes stores for years, but midland 99 bikes really doesn't seem to care and have little knowledge about bikes.
I got a 5 dollar discount
I got a 5 dollar discount after riding my bikes 2km to 99 bikes on a flat, and home was ages away. I was asked to write a review and i glady have done so. great store.
Our experience at 99 bikes Adamstown
Our experience at 99 bikes Adamstown was very successful. We were greeted and helped by Dave. He was an amazing salesman and he was very specific and efficient in telling us about the product that we were buying.
Paid for a click and collect special…
Paid for a click and collect special order and when I got there they said it had already been collected. I never collected it. Never doing another click and collect order with this incompetent business.
I was happy with the customer service…
I was happy with the customer service from Will and Chris on the team. They were helpful and understanding with helping my order proceed with the slight hiccup I had .Very easy to deal with which I liked, and kept me informed.😊

Order with express delivery on a Monday, arrived Friday
Order Monday, 3:42pm with express shipping, because I wanted my package by Thursday. Express delivery supposed to take 1-2 business days, but had the package Friday at 4pm.
Sales people have no clue
Went into the Success store to buy a continental GP5000 in 30mm and was told Continental does not make that tire in that size but they could sell me a 28mm one, so I bought the 28. I was browsing the web a few days later and discovered Continental did indeed make this tire in 30mm and most bike shops sold them, by this time I had fitted the 28 and done about 50kms. Contacted customer service to complain and was told the same thing, Continental only make a 30mm for an ebike, this is of course completely false, so emailed a copy of the receipt from another bike shop I just bought a GP5000 in 30mm. They finally admitted they were wrong but it was an “honest” mistake and did absolutely nothing.
Missing parts.
Orderd a bike stand but only the base was in the box, the upstand was missing when I opened it.
Great customer service.
I had an accident on my e bike, I took my bike to Osborne Park (I am a current customer) they were not able to fix the bike at the time but I was given excellent advice from Peter. They kept the bike until I could source spare parts (they did not have the size tyres for my bike). I will be returning to have my e bike and my normal bike for a service. Thank you Peter for your patience!
99 bikes wouldn't shop anywhere else…
99 bikes wouldn't shop anywhere else online or in-store
Great staff. And the robot chat online to easy.
Just not good enough
I have purchased many bikes from them, but no longer. The mechanical staff are not capable of setting up a bike from scratch. They carry virtually no bikes parts, just lots of accessories. When my bike is broken, I need parts, not a shop full of t-shirts, lights and pumps etc. Everything has to be ordered, most often it takes weeks, there's no urgency to take something from another bike. The last bike I purchased has literally spent more time in the shop waiting for parts than it has being ridden. The bike is a merida, and I'm informed that the warranty system is too time consuming, especially for small $ amounts, so I as the customer will simply need to pay for it myself. This bike is two months old and been riddled with problems. The last time I asked for 6 things to be done to the bike, I then picked it up to find 2 were done, and as they take soo long to do anything, I just chose to do everything myself at this point. The staff are mostly friendly, but certainly don't understand urgency. Customers don't spend many thousands on a bike to sit around waiting for parts constantly. Customers who spend this sort of money are wanting to ride the bike every other day.
99Bikes - where every bicycle comes with a free course on Australian Consumer Law
I purchased a bike from this store and the handlebars fell off within a month while I was riding. This constitutes a 'major failure' under Australian Consumer Law and entitles the consumer to choose between a refund, replacement or repair. The sales staff at the store lied to my face and infringed upon my consumer rights by telling me that their store policy does not allow refunds after 30 days, and offered a replacement.
I wasn't aware at the time that this was a complete lie, and accepted the replacement.
Within another 4 months, the back wheel of the bike fell off causing another fall. Again they refused to give me a refund, and offered a replacement infringing upon my consumer rights a second time. They rescinded their offer for a replacement when they realised the bicycle was scratched and they could not sell it to another customer (the managers actual words - wtf). Instead they offered a repair which I refused.
I went and studied Australian Consumer Law and discovered that this mob engage in shady and borderline illegal behaviour, and must give you a refund if your product suffered from a 'Major Failure'.
Further, according to Consumer Affairs Victoria: "Signs or store policy that state 'no refunds' are unlawful, because they imply it is not possible to get a refund under any circumstance - even when there is a problem with the goods or service, like a defect or lack of due care and skill.".
After dealing with this s**** show for months, repeated visits to the store and disrespectful back and forths with their customer service - I sic'd Consumer Affairs Victoria on them and they quickly capitulated and offered me a refund.
I would be very wary purchasing a bicycle from this store. They were willing to take a faulty bicycle that I was returning and put it back on their showroom floor and sell it to another customer. They will trample on your consumer rights and do their best to make your life difficult so you back down and don't pursue your legal entitlements.
Customer service to be highlighted!
While I’ve had a number of challenges with my bike across different stores, I want to give credit where it’s due — Alberto from Airport West has been absolutely fantastic. His customer service, communication and willingness to help have really stood out. Much appreciated!
Placed an order…..no stock
Placed the order and then had to chase for delivery only to be told that they don’t actually have stock….given a date for arrival which I had to chase again…..refund given….total waste of my time and energy
Awaiting a key from Dirodi. Hubby loves his ebike.
Been waiting on a key from Dirodi on a Rover plus purchased on 27 Jan 26. No key for battery still waiting as at 25 Feb 26. Bought as present for hubby. I've had to contact Diorodi directly to follow-up on missing key on a brand new bike and had a response in 5 minutes.
A bit disappointed in customer service. and not sure, why you would sell a brand new bike with no key!! Not a cheap ebike. BTW my hubby loves his ebike..only been 20 years since he's ridden a bike and loves it!!
