The adapter arrived today and works great. If the company informed the customer when the item is dispatched and gave a tracking number immediately I would have made it 5/5 but have to say I am really happy with the adapter

I ordered an Alienware 330w charger before I saw these reviews. Like everyone, I was under the impression that it will come from the UK. Only when I was given the tracking number I saw it comes from China.

Delivery was fast tho, and I received it from Royal Mail as promised. 4 days after dispatch. It looks the same as the original, even has Dell on it. 200g lighter.
Now, I've seen all the bad reviews and I don't know if I got lucky or not, but the charger works as expected. Same output as the original, doesn't heat up more than the other.

I guess I will know for sure if this was a waste of £50 or not in a few months but for now, I'm very pleased with this purchase.

I ordered a Samsung tablet charger from them on Wednesday 25 July and stumbled across these reviews only after I'd placed the order. I immediately contacted my credit card company to cancel the payment but they were of no help whatsoever so I assumed that I'd basically just thrown 13 quid away. More in hope than anything else I sent an email to the Adaptor family asking them to cancel my order forthwith as I'd ordered in error. I got a return email telling me that the order would indeed be cancelled but when I checked my credit card account the money had already been sent, so I decided I'd just messed up and would check reviews first before ordering anything next time. Well today, 31st July the charger actually arrived, just 6 days after I ordered it. Altnough It looks like a genuine Samsung, the plain cardboard packaging suggests it most probably isn't. I've used it and lo and behold it did it's job of charging the tablet quickly and with no over heating. Early days I know but so far so good.

I know this review is going against what most reviewers say, but please read on. I hadn't read the comments on here until after I had ordered my charger. To say I was mortified is putting it mildly. The next day I went out and purchased a Universal Power Adapter.
Four days later the charger arrived from Adapterfamily. It looks like my original Lenovo charger (which I have left in our caravan) and it appears to be brand new. It works perfectly....so far.
Maybe I'm just lucky....would I use them again...No, not with the weight of disappointed customers still looming large.

I purchased a laptop adapter and apart from an extended wait for the item was initially pleased with the product. After using the charger only twice the item no longer worked. I asked for return details as I wanted a refund. In summary I was advised to send numerous details including photographs of the item. I insisted on wanting return details due to my dissatisfaction with the product supplied. I was offered a replacement but I was required to pay the postage. Despite numerous emails since I've heard nothing back and am currently £20 of pocket and because of the nature of my work have purchased another charger. Four weeks on it is still working.

I will never purchase from Adapter Family again or recommend them. Poor quality products and customer service is dreadful. Purchase at your peril!

I wish I'd read Trustpilot first!
This company pretend they are a UK seller but they're based in China. Items ordered take a couple of weeks to arrive.
They say the adapters are genuine but they're not - they're cheap Chinese copies that get very hot and are a fire risk. The jack plug on my ASUS charger doesn't fit properly and keeps falling out. The company insisted I send the faulty one back to China at my expense which is not an option considering it costs at least £15 to post.
The best I can do is put it down to experience and warn others.
DON'T BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY.

Wrong adaptor send, poor communication then ignored me. Was advertised as a genuine product, but clearly wasn't and they admitted such before stopping communication. Don't buy from them

did not fit my samsung paid £20 by paypal and looks like I won't get my money back. Looks rubbish not genuine samsung one

Unfortunately didn't read the reviews before making a purchase. I cancelled immediately which they agreed to then they, 'accidentaly,' sent my charger to me about 3 days after that. I refused delivery and told them to return to sender. This was about 10 days ago now. I have made a claim with my bank about it and fortunately have a long paper trail, if this fails I may even go legal. I wouldn't mind so much but they keep saying, 'please wait patiently for your refund.' as if I'm the one in the wrong here, despite them confirming the cancellation of the order!! It is beggars belief how they are still able to operate. Trading standards need to be informed.

Says they are a UK company but are based in China ,I am trying to return an order that was cancelled before it was despatched to me but cannot find a return address.

Was sent a fake charger.

Avoid like the plague. Was sent a fake charger which got so hot, it nearly caught fire. Returned it a month ago but still no refund. Not even UK based.

Bought an adapter from them, broke after a few months, requested a replacement under warranty and they asked me pay 7 euros for shipment, which I did, and they haven't been replying to my emails for a month now.

I ordered an adapter from them and then a day later I had to cancel the order. They said they were canceling the order but that was a week ago now, the order is still active, the money has not been returned, and they have not shipped anything. I would not give them any stars if I was able, they are a fraudulent scam company and should not be trusted.

They don't deserve a one star. Tried contacting them concerning an item I bought that I wanted to return, no reply from them. Absolutely useless. Don't waste your money. Just wish I'd read these reviews before ordering

Terrible non responsive customer service. I was sent the wrong charger and when I informed them they told me they would send the correct one. To which still hasn't arrived, I have received two incorrect tracking references and emails asking me to resend the details for the correct charger.

I have not had a reply from them now regarding this.

Awful experience.

AWFUL company - They are not in UK and the sent me a scratched well used adapter that did not fit my lap top. I sent them photos and they ignored my emails. They refuse to send me a new one, they lied to me and said that it was new and it clearly wasnt. They wouldn't send the correct adapter as ordered until I sent it to china for a further £12 I waited nearly 5 weeks .... They have not refunded my money - will report to Paypal . Shocking

Bought what I thought was a Genuine Acer Aspire E1-572-6497 E1-572-6829 AC Adapter Charger 65W. Almost caused a house fire when it started sparking and catching on flame.

Total scam. Ordered well over 1 month ago. Sent some bogus tracking information which said it had arrived in my country. Zero record of the tracking info with our postal services its supposed to be with. Reversed transaction and got money back through my card proviser. Do not recommend whatsoever. Zero response from them on messages over a month ago.

My review in the form of an email sent to their customer service department following the realisation that my client would need to wait for a product ordered from said company on the assumption that they were based in the UK. I only hope that the product is as described.

I sincerely hope that the trust pilot reviews are not correct. I sincerely hope that you're in the business of selling genuine goods and not cheaper products in their place..
You have already mislead me into purchasing the above Genuine Asus power adapter with the assumption that your website- "Adapter Family. co.uk was based in the United Kingdom.
Only did I realised that you are actually based In China, when I received the tracking information.
You are obligated to by trading standards to represent your company in a lawful and honest manner. Your business is a dot com (. com) and not, co.uk. You have to change this. Your Web address is in fiolation of Google Advertising to which I will be contacting.
To conclude. I not only hope that the product you have sent is as advertised as a genuine Asus product.,that you are a genuine business and not just about taking our money from the UK under false pretence.
I anticipate a reassuring reply and expect to be absolutely satisfied with your product even if posted from China.
Altough I doubt that you will supply me with a response if the reviews are correct.
