Website said 8-10 weeks estimated lead time. Ordered 4/12/21, charged in full. Order pending for weeks. Called for status 5/31/21: now estimated lead time is 18-20 weeks, and no guaranty, just another estimate. We could expedite for another $75, but STILL AN ESTIMATE for the end of July instead of September. Asked woman to state the refund policy-24 hours to cancel the order after initial placement, otherwise $150 to cancel. Thanked her for her time and immediately called our credit card company to dispute the charge. Then filed a complaint with the FL Attorney General.
For anyone else currently experiencing issues, please file a complaint with FL Attorney General, Ashley Moody. This site will not allow for links to the exact website, but it is pretty easy to find. If enough complaints come in, typically staff will at least look into the situation.

This letter is regarding our conversation March 26, 2021 about my hot tub cover being made in two pieces NOT A ONE PIECE that I requested and paid for. I Received a call from Jeff-Sales director on 11/30/2020 and he was calling me to inform me that the production department wants to make my cover in two-fold one piece which is NOT what I ordered on 09/09/2021 and paid for as per drawings and documentation. I explained that I specifically ordered a one-piece trifold all stitched together with a sketch, dimensions and attachments based on medical conditional needs. Jeff had assured me that he would forward this information forward to production department and email me with a production day which I never received. Had they informed that it was going to be manufactured in two pieces attached via Velcro I would have cancelled. The next communication I received was that the cover was shipped out and scheduled for delivery in January.
BELOW IS A LIST OF CONCERNS AND ISSUES WE ARE EXPERIENCING
• Cover was not made to my specifications (one piece trifold)
• Pull handles are not where they should be as I requested thus impeding one person close.
• Some cover hold downs have been added where they should not be, thus impeding push off opening of tub.
• The third fold is not attached via stitching and no weather gasket seal between that I requested, this allows for constant heat loss.
• Because your production department decided to make the cover their way Not the way I requested and paid the cover has reverse pitch at Velcro attachment pivot and the use three Velcro attachment points @ 9” each this allows for 63” (2/3) of hot tub to be exposed to all the seasonal elements such as....
• Element impact- cover has reverse pitch at Velcro attachment pivot point.
• Element impact- Ice and snow build up
• Element impact- All rain builds up and reverse flows into tub (impeding chemical balance) and water overflowing issues.
• Element new impact- Now that spring is here the trees budding and dropping thus creating a
WHOLE NEW IMPACT all the spring droppings are lodging under open fold area
of Velcro pivot.
• Element new impact- special ordered High performance filtration system is constantly loading up with debris and burning out filter system
• Element new impact- Every time I open cover all debris contaminate hot tub changing chemical balance.

I am attaching Pictures of various situations of hot tub cover to the email that this letter is being sent with.

I sincerely hope that we can resolve this business matter in a professional manor going forward. As I have mentioned on several occasions We have medical needs in this household requiring routine use of hot tub for hydrotherapy and your business decisions are a direct impact to our family and the equipment needed. We are very understanding that the past year has been difficult for every company and person. We greatly appreciate Affordable Spa and associates.

If I could give this business zero stars, I would! After placing an order, we got nothing but the run around & was then told turn around time was 18-22 weeks for a hot tub cover after they charged us the day of the initial order. This was totally unreasonable and not disclosed at time of purchase. Because of this we cancelled the order, however, they still enforced their $150 cancellation fee, even though the reason we cancelled the order was due to their slow responses, awful turn around times with no guarantees. Plus after waiting 10 days and heard nothing on the order, and the standoffish, miserable customer service! I tried to remedy this issue through the business directly but they wouldn’t let me speak with a manager or owner, nor provide their names for further communication. I received some rehearsed response from the person answering calls as to why I couldn’t get back my money on the cancellation fee. Almost as if they have robbed people so often that they know exactly what to say to frustrate you further! This business is exploiting a somewhat legal but very unethical gray area with their “$150” cancellation fee and are robbing customers of their orders and their hard earned money! DO NOT DO BUSINESS HERE or you will surely regret it!

I have filed a complaint with the FCC & BBB however, I doubt anything will come of this since the FCC collects info on poor business behavior/trends and this business already has an “F” rating with the Florida BBB. Maybe the FCC will eventually charge them with a crime & come through for all of us and all the that have been taken to the cleaners!

Placed order online, and inquired if they had the template for our Tacoma 680 spa, which is a unique design. Took 10 days to get a response stating they "felt like" they had the template and production time was at least 16 weeks. Asked to cancel the order due to the uncertainty of the design and delivery and they kept $150 dollars due to their "24 hour cancelation policy" $150 dollars for NOTHING? Still cannot get a response on this ridiculous policy when they never confirmed our order. STEER CLEAR!

Ordered a spa cover from this company in October 2019 and three months later it's still listed as "in production." I just called and was informed it could be another three weeks, then 4-5 days of shipping. FOUR MONTHS (or more?) to receive my order with NO WARNING it could take this long when I placed the order. Needless to say I will never use this company again.
