We've really enjoyed the two tours…
We've really enjoyed the two tours we've taken. In each we stayed a week in one "hub" city and took daily excursions to nearby cities or sites. We love not having to pack and unpack every day or two. The itineraries have been great, and the tour directors fantastic. Our only frustration has been with the arrangement of airline reservations. It would be easier for us to set up the flights on our own, but we want to utilize the hotel/airport transfers AHI offers without paying extra for those transfers.

The hotel was too far from the Normandy…
The hotel was too far from the Normandy beaches. We spent too much time on the bus. I also think spending 2 days in Honfluer was too much. I would have preferred going to Utah beach, visiting Gold, Sword and Juno beaches. I would love to gotten out of the bus and really been given a tour of the Pegasus Bridge. It was very sad we were only given 45 minutes at the American Cemetary at Normandy. I could not find a way to get to the wall memorializing the soldiers, sailors and marines who we have not found. It was also very disappointing that Sunday mass, for 2 consecutive Sundays was not included as part of the tour....especially for a tour hosted by the University of Notre Dame.
On the positive side the tour guides Claire and Almandine were exceptional. The food was very good and the hotel was nice. With the exception of one concierge at the front desk who was rude, the rest of the staff was very nice and kind. The tour of Chateaux de Bec was fabulous. Would love to have gone into town to the cheese shop! Mont Saint Michele was wonderful. However, Tourist need to be told they have to climb 900 steps to enjoy the entire experience. The term "active" is insufficient.

Our tour guide Emanulle made the trip for us. He was entertaining, very organized and he looked after every one of our needs and requests. He is the best.

The overall experience was very good.
The overall experience was very good as a result of a good tour guide and the additional guides. The hotel has a great location, however their rooms are quite plain, nothing like photos in the brochure and no laundry services. The hotel staff was great and helpful.
Meals and tours were wonderful. Despite the heatwave of 100 degree temperatures every day, the tour of Puglia was worthwhile.

The Amalfi Coast is beautiful place
The Amalfi Coast is beautiful place. However, we found it was quite crowded when the cruise ships arrived. We loved our home base at Hotel Raito in Vietri Sul Mare. We also really enjoyed our tour director Emanuela Aprea. He was excellent!!

The tour guide was great!!! Enjoyed the tours although a little more free time would have been nice. I would have given it 5 stars but don't believe the amount of steps and walking were explained well. Many in our group could not handle the amount of walking and steps involved

Amazing tour guide. Christina has a big personality that is engaging and makes her fun to be around. Her knowledge of Puglia was very deep and went beyond just facts. Great stories. One of the best tour guides we ever had.
Puglia was beautiful and the tour had a variety of interesting villages and places we visited.
The olive oil ranch was by far the best tour stop. Good meal and amazing olive oil.
Dislikes:
Overall the included meals were underwhelming. Too many meals at our hotel.
Too little free time and felt rushed on the tours.
Hotel room was very disappointing. Very dull and poor lighting. I expected more from the hotel.

Karine did a great job with the itinerary and guiding us each day. Each of the specialty guides enhanced our trip with their deep knowledge and easy way of communicating to us. Menus were varied and delicious. The hotel was adequate. We loved how each day played out! Karine helped us get to know our fellow travelers and that enhanced the trip as well. The bus driver was awesome!

Top-notch tour guide
Coby van Velzen was a terrific tour guide: organized, cheerful, informative, patient.
Our bus driver was also very good. Tour was ful of great sites to see, fine meals.
Hotels were good, though Aarhus hotel was not well located.
