Misleading tactics and false reassurances
Once again, I was placed in a mediocre hotel room that was overexposed to loud noise throughout the night despite reassurances from Heidi that this would not happen a third time in a row. I sent her audio tapes of the disturbance outside my hotel window from the restaurant only thirty feet away as it was happening in real time, but she has not responded more than two weeks later. It seems AHI promises one thing before collecting my money, and then ignores me after the monies are paid.
Update: After reading my review, Heidi reached out. She said she’d reached out to the onsite daily tour director and the hotel. Neither said anything to me for the duration of the trip.
AHI’s response that the disturbance was the second to last night was erroneous (they didn’t take into account the 9 hour time change; nor did AHI mention that I’d also told them about a disturbance a few days earlier). They did offer a complimentary upgrade for this trip because of the prior trip debacle but could not deliver; so they offered a cooking class. I told them such classes do not appeal to me, which they subsequently acknowledged, but I accepted the gesture. I’ll never do another class. It was a watch and follow along session with no option to learn much at all. Regardless, AHI has made an additional gesture to rectify the matter in a suitable way.

We wanted you to have a marvelous time on this program and a quiet room. We also anticipated that you would enjoy the complimentary cooking class and, should a room become available, a complimentary room upgrade. We are very sorry that you experienced street noise from your room on the second-to-last night of the program and that our on-site staff advised that there was no alternative room available for your final night. Our Vice President of Customer Service recently reached back out to you with additional apologies for not meeting your expectations in this case. We are very sorry you were disappointed, as that was not our intent.

AHI travel tour is great
This was our first tour with AHI (Majesty of Switzerland)and we loved it. The guides were wonderful. We enjoyed the tours and the towns we visited and felt the pace was perfect.

Another Wonderful Trip with AHI!!
We had another wonderful trip with AHI in Switzerland. We love traveling with AHI because they think of all the details so we don’t have too much so great having a knowledgeable tour guide and local experts. Our guide Simona took such good care of us and made sure we had everything we needed. The accommodations were great, the transportation was all arranged and excellent and we felt we got a taste of all Switzerland has to offer. We highly recommend this tour and this company!

AHI Amalfi Coast Tour
The Amalfi Coast tour by AHI was wonderful. It was well-planned and included the top sites in the area. What was especially nice was that the travel arrangements at the sites was organized so that we did not have to wait in long lines for boats or busses. The included restaurants gave us the opportunity to experience local culture. I will seek out AHI again in the future!

My third trip with AHI
My recent trip to Scotland was my third vacation with AHI. All three have been excellent. They always seem to get the best Guides, Drivers, etc. to put together an excellent experience. They also throw in a few extras like at welcome reception with bagpipers and dancers or the group photos taken by our hostess and presented to us at the farewell dinner.

Scotland August 2026
Guide, Travel Director and Coach Pilot were fantastic, helpful and attentive to the needs of the travelers. Sites we visited were wonderful, as were the included meals and entertainment. The hotel in Dunblane we stayed at was above average. Staff was friendly and helpful, but rooms in the older part of the hotel were not suitable for our purpose. The new Stirling wing had better accommodations, including a more suitable bed. Rest of the hotel was excellent, to include the bar, resturaunt and daily breakfast buffet. Recommend all future participants to the Scotland trip stay in the renovated part of the hotel.

The hotel was wrong in so many ways
The hotel was wrong in so many ways. First, it was isolated in an area that had no access to restaurants or transportation. The front desk and cleaning staff were great. The rooms were old but adequate (no A/C). But the biggest issue was the dining. In the morning the staff was not very helpful and often they “ran out” of different things. We waited 40 minutes for eggs. One morning they never came to our table. In the evening they never had everything offered on the menu. One night they were out of steaks and pizza. Because of the poor location we felt forced to eat there and what food we did eat was bad . At the goodbye dinner the food was inedible. The “Roast Beef” looked like a hockey puck - and tasted about the same. They didn’t even have all the ingredients for a cocktail my wife ordered.
We, along with most of our group are retired and willing to pay for top quality accommodations. Choosing mediocre hotels will keep us from traveling with AHI again.
Please know that Mick was a great tour guide.

Scotland land trip
Terrific schedule for land trip, in spite of change in original hotel as home base. New hotel was nice (no AC so some hot room issues), but not centrally located which did limit options on free time days. Local on site Director was phenomenal! Mick made up for lost communication with corporate office and helped guests adapt to new hotel and still manage to see what they wanted to see. Thank you Mick!
