Alpine Trikes Avis 

It's a very good idea and service to offer customers the choice of seeing and trying before they buy. The company bring the bikes to you.There is a small cost naturally but reasonable considering that e bikes are expensive and mistakes even more so.Steve arrived at mine,when he said he would, in Suffolk with two choices of e trikes. I opted for the explorer which felt strange but Steve was patient guiding me towards triking mode. I couldn't fault him and he explained all the potential difficulties or hazards that might / could happen. He had me going around the neighbourhood running along beside me. I have had it a couple of weeks now and still don't feel completely at ease and this is due to a completely different way of operating the power as opposed to my previous experience with e bikes which power up in accordance with pedal pressure etc. These trikes literally take off and race to the max speed per power level. The lowest being 6 mph which is fast if turning a right angle corner. It's a question of getting used to the combinations of power,throttle and pedals and forgetting old habits! They are super trikes,stable,well made, well equipped and comfortable. One negative is that the manual is not very thorough, More details like tyre pressure, brake system or little things like bulbs,adjustments here and there etc. Alpine with Steve at the helm (handlebars) take some beating,definitely recommended. Steve gave me everything I needed to get the right trike for me and to be comfortable in using it. He arrived on time, brought three trikes for me to try, and made sure I could handle it on my own! (I'm 92). And it is a really robust machine which promises a lot of fun as the season improves!

The best thing for me was the fact that Alpine Bikes delivered my tricycle in their own van, fully assembled, and then the delivery driver stayed to instruct me in the use of the trike. He ran alongside me during the test cycle too!

I've already submitted a review . Anyway, has I said before ( great service , delivered, spot on time and Steve was great 👍 showing me the works ). However, there was no bell and I requested the tyre pressures and serial number. Overall the Explorer is a fantastic ride . Thank you.

Steve’s knowledge, enthusiasm and sensitivity was fabulous. My 90 year old Dad was keen to explore buying an Alpine trike as a way to retain his independence. However, his balance and mobility is not as it once was and therefore he lacks confidence. Steve was so patient, kind and respectful to my Dad providing 90 minutes of guidance to him on 2 Alpine models. After this my Dad decided that he wouldn’t proceed with a purchase and Steve graciously accepted his decision without any pressure or hard sell. A big thank you from us all.

For a home visit you have to pay £130 up front. This is a non refundable deposit, but if you purchase the product this will be deducted. Or so you’re told.

Steve is a nice enough fella, but needs to be more transparent on his pricing. For instance, the wife needed a shorter seat post. “That’s alright, I’ve got one lying around in the van” implying it was free.

It was only after he left that the next day I queried the price of £5,553 and a discrepancy of an £85 overcharge. Upon being told my digital receipt would probably be in my spam box, (unlike my manual which was in my inbox) did I discover the £60 delivery cost and a £25 fee for a basic seat post.

Overall the trikes are good quality and had it not been for the hidden costs I’d have given 5 stars. Steve did say he’d only charged delivery for one trike and not two, even though they were on the same van.

Steve was great for the delivery and test ride. The Trike felt a bit strange to ride at first, But after some great tuition and some more riding that day, i felt at home with the Trike and now i positively race around on it. I get loads of people admiring it and it has transformed my independence. Well done to Alpine.

Customer service that cannot be matched and with an outstanding product! The trike was demonstrated to me and then I had a lesson! I felt confident in knowing exactly what I had bought and how to use it. I would highly recommend this company to friends and family. No pushy sales with the demo either, the trike sells itself!!

I was having a problem in finding a company that sells Electric Trikes, gives a good service and has quality products. I wanted reliable information and expert advice as I haven't had one before. I have ridden bikes. Following a telephone discussion to check details on 3 possible choices I took the option they provide to request an appointment delivery and they brought 2 of them for me to try. They did what they said they would do and took a lot of trouble making sure I was satisfied with my choice, and it fitted me. No pressure either.
I definitely recommend them. The quality of the 2 trikes I tried were excellent and the trike I chose is great and I am really enjoying using it.
After service is good too as I had a few questions after I had taken delivery- which is very important to me.

As per the other reviews, Steve was brilliant with the delivery; explaining, advising, and techy info.
The trike is superb, it gets lots of admiring looks when I park it in my Village Hall.
I've yet to do the (regular) long trip I bought it for (English weather) and It's one of those things where the more I use it the better it will be. I was impressed on the test ride and haven't been disappointed since.
The 'Tilt' is the thing, I find it hard as a fixed trike, but use the Tilt and it's a dream.

A fabulous tricycle, comfortable and powerful at the same time made with excellent quality material.

To travel to customer’s home and to test one or two trikes with necessary explanation of their operation is an invaluable service. Well done! Result? I bought the Easy Trike which is solidly built.
My only caveat is lack of some printed maintenance advice which am sure can be remedied.

Like all etrikes it's susceptible to tipping when making a turn on uneven ground. I sustained severe bruising to my hip when the trike tipped over when making a turn.

Excellent company to deal with. I bought the Explorer electric tricycle and it was delivered fully built by Steve from Alpine Electric. He spent time thoroughly explaining about electric tricycles, how to ride and maintain mine and advised while I tried the trike.

The trike is extremely robust and very attractive looking. I'm very happy with my purchase and the company's standard of support.

Steve of Alpine was a real pleasure to deal with. No messing about with false promises. My Alpine Mountain Explorer was delivered in stated time and in prime condition. I would highly recommend this firm and might I add I had a most diabolical service by one of his main competitors before, luckily, somebody put me in touch with Alpine.
