This is just a great company to deal with. Solar panels and battery installed professionally and to a high standard. From the top management to sales and the installers all were most helpful and pleasant to deal with. No pressurised sales techniques and product is giving the benefits that they calculated. A company I would recommend to anyone, thanks guys

I'm an elderly, disabled lady. Last year we got a solar pv grant. Because my husband & I use a lot of disability equipment daily our electricity usage is extremely high.

With the cost of living crisis & the energy prices going through the roof we thought we'd take this opportunity to explore the possibility of privately funding extra panels with a battery to compliment our grant one.

But as with most grant schemes the process isn't always easy and straight forward so it turned out that we had to install 2 separate pv systems (long story). 9+ months later the grant pv install was finally organised for 5th June with Anglian Renewables Ltd.

But what a nightmare it's turned out to be unlike getting our privately funded system installed by another reputable company which was such a smooth, easy & hassle free process.

Being elderly & disabled my husband & I were looking forward to finally having the grant job completed hassle free but I guess that was wishful thinking on our part. Suddenly on D-day Bobby (Bhumit Chandi – Companies House), owner of Anglian Renewables Ltd, was screaming blue murder at us & bizarrely cancelled the job.

It transpires that Bobby had clearly failed to look at the survey details carefully as it would have highlighted the 1st pv system which Micky, Bobby's very pleasant surveyor, would have reported after his site visit on 2nd May. Apparently, it was only Bobby's installers who had informed Bobby on D-day so he shouted at us saying had he known he would have carried out the proper procedures including making the correct DNO application in time & bizarrely blamed us for his mistakes. Disgusting behaviour!

Sadly, it wasn't the first time that he was so incredibly disrespectful, rude & offensive towards me either.

Initially I’d rung to discuss the installation. Like with the other reputable company, I was expecting a pleasant, helpful & straightforward discussion with Bobby. However, it was the polar opposite, a nightmare.

Whether you’re a private customer or a grant client it should make no difference what-so-ever. We should all be treated equally with full respect but of course those are neither Bobby’s traits nor forte. These are not the actions of a true professional but instead that of a cowboy who obviously abuses the system & the vulnerable.

Unfortunately, because of the tight deadlines we had no choice but in dealing with Bobby as best as we could under the circumstances.

But if this is how Bobby's going to behave now what on earth are we to expect in the future should anything go wrong with either the workmanship and/or the pv system?! We have zero faith & confidence in Anglian Renewables Ltd much less Bobby as the owner for the pv installation, which he has cancelled & perhaps it's a blessing in disguise – undoubtedly a narrow escape for us.

One hears of cowboy companies like Anglian Renewables Ltd springing up everywhere taking advantage of the vulnerable, abusing the system & treating these grant jobs as cash cow.

Bobby clearly couldn't care less about anybody but himself as he not only screamed profanities at us but blamed us for his costly mistakes and how he'd have to now lay off employees earlier than he'd planned to (July instead of August).

Instead of taking full responsibility for his own mistakes, actions or lack of, taking accountability for them and swiftly rectifying the issues at hand he thinks it's perfectly okay to scream at us and blame us instead.

How he thinks this is perfectly fine is beyond me....

This is by no means common practice for a truly professional, competent and trustworthy company, of which neither Bobby nor Anglian Renewables Ltd are. We’re absolutely flabbergasted.

We would definitely NOT recommend them to anyone, EVER!

Great service, a big thank you to all the engineers that fitted the solar panels, done all the electrical work under 4 hours, very professional and courteous throughout and excellent customer service kept me updated at every level

Very satisfied customers after excellent serivce and product. Throughout Anglian Renewables were very accommodating, pleasant to work with and competitive. The recommendations then quote were just what we wanted. At no stage was there any hard sell. At installation the fitters were efficient but thorough. By lunchtime we had fully functioning Solar Panels creating electicity. Many thanks to all the Anglian Renewables team.

Efficient, organised and tidied up!

Anglian were at all times helpful and informative from getting the quotation, permission to feed in to the network and the fitting itself. Quote was competitive and complete. Fitting itself was very fast - half a day to fit 12 panels, wired to battery rig in garage at opposite side of house, and back to mains on the other. Very impressed with fitters who were very adaptable to fitting in the most everything in the most convenient ways for us (rather than them!).

The installation was stress free and my friend commented on how neat the job was.

The staff are very professional and helpful and I'm more than happy to recommend them.
Yama was very patient and answered the many questions I asked him.
Bobby was very helpful in obtaining panels with a much longer warranty.
The installers were really helpful in determining the best layout on the flat roof.

For information the system I have is
18 Canadian Solar panels 410w with a warranty of 25 years
The panel layout
- 10 on the sloping roof
- 8 on a flat roof with a special 10 degree rack
Fox ESS Mira batteries 3 x 2.5Kwh
18 x Tigo power optimisers. with a Tigo CCA monitor, as I have numerous shading challenges

Very quick turnaround and completed without any issues.

It was a pleasure to have the workforce undergo works at my home. The crew were courteous and professional throughout.

All the staff that visited my home to under take various works were very polite, professional, respected my space and home, and dealt with me as a valued customer. I couldn't have asked for better staff from your company or contractors.
They are just wonderful, and I felt safe with them around in my home.

The various dates were, 3rd March 2023; 7th March 2023 and 16th March 2023.

Company was true to its claims and provided excellent service with minimum fuss. So often you hear of unscrupulous companies taking advantage of customers, but Anglian Renewables is definitely not one of these companies.
From start to finish the teams sent to complete each stage of the install were courteous and professional aptly managed by the team at Anglian Renewables. The equipment installed was as described in the original quote and although not the market leader was recommended on many review sites and is good value.
The only minor comment I could make is more frequent contact with updates would be helpful otherwise would recommend Anglian Renewables for a Solar PV System.

It isn't when everything goes without any issues that you get to see the real metal of a company, but how they deal with the little snags along the way. My install was more complex than usual and Anglian discussed the potential pitfalls and offered alternatives, but we agreed to make the final decisions on the day. On the day of the install the electricians arrived early to work through the final details which they then executed very neatly. Once the the panel installers were on the roof and able to get more accurate measurements, they suggested a slightly different arrangement of panels which worked out better - both in solar production and aesthetics. Ultimately I am very pleased with my install.

Anglian Renewables are a very efficient firm. After my initial quote I never felt pressured to buy. The staff quickly responded to questions.
The installation was completed in a day and the workmen were polite and helpful.

A very efficent process. The response to my initial request was very prompt and the time from first enquiry to work completed was only 3 weeks. The price charged was fair and competitive. I would highly recommend Anglian Renewables. I found the salesman Kian Dowsett to be knowledgeable and very helpful when deciding on which PV/battery system to have installed. the installation went smoothly and the installation team were very professional and did a very neat job. The system is now running smoothly and I am already benefitting from significant electricity savings.
