Ashridge Nurseries Avis 300

Replacement silver birch sent after first ones received failed. Sent by 24 hour courier. Took over 4 days to arrive and look very dry. Trying to contact Ashridge by email is proving to be difficult. Not hopeful this second lot will survive and. suspect this is also why the first trees failed. I wish I had gone to a local nursery.

Ordered 35 trees for hedging, delivery arrived with brilliant notice, but only contained 25 plants. Emailed their customer service and had a reply from Catherine within the hour, and a delivery of the remaining 10 plants the following day. Amazed at this service as they are based at the other side of the country. Hopefully the trees come back next year!

Also the saplings were surprisingly sturdy and with thicker limbs than expected, and a good amount of root.

Received my plant today and wanted to say that I'm absolutely thrilled with it. It's the healthiest pelargonium I've ever bought and such good value too. Thank you for all the care and attention and the great communication. I'll definitely be returning for more and will recommend you.

Having had previously good experience with this company I tried to order some items (tree and hedging) from them. The amount I was ordering qualified for free delivery according to their website. However in processing my order, a delivery charge of £50 appeared, disappeared, then reappeared. I eventually accessed their chatline (not easy) and was told - admittedly politely and quickly - that the charge was because some items had to be palletted, being over 1.2m. The specification was in fact 1-1.25 m, you don't know exactly what you're going to get, so - ridiculous and inflexible. So no business from me. Beware ambiguous/misleading info on their delivery strapline.

I have been pleasantly surprised at the professional level of advice available from Ashridge Trees. The don’t try to push products down your throat like the major names. They rely more on building a good reputation. That will always attract good customers instead of push push push of product by second rate service companies.

I purchased 3 bare root trees from Ashridge last winter. They were all planted according to instructions from the nursery.
Unfortunately one of them didn’t survive & by Spring had failed to produce new leaves etc. I emailed Ashridge who initially gave some advice and in the meantime put a replacement on order.
The tree still failed to so after following up with Ashridge again they have confirmed a replacement will be sent as soon as possible. The other 2 trees are doing extremely well and look great.
I can only highly recommend Ashridge Nurseries. There was no quibble about replacing the tree - they gave great advice but when this didn’t work there was no problem in replacing it. Sharon & the team responded quickly to emails and gave great customer service.
I will definitely be using them again.

I spent a great deal of time choosing and ordering bare root roses. The banner headline on the site shows a lorry in bright green with Free Delivery emblazoned on the side. In tiny print above are the words, 'See how to get'. Even so, it seemed I would qualify due to the size of my order. Not so. Because I live in Scotland, there is a surcharge. I hasten to add I am in the Central Belt just off the M90, not in a remote area. Also, there appears to be no surcharge for anywhere in England, no matter how remote or awkward to get to. This seems unacceptable to me. Scotland is no further than many English or Welsh areas from Ashridge HQ and does not require a ferry or plane, unlike the Isle of Wight.

They have wonderful customer service. Their plants are ok. Not so good packaging/logistics compared to other nurseries.

I purchased three clematis plants in early 2021. A complaint was made concerning two plants and was dealt with extremely promptly and efficiently to my complete satisfaction.
I have ordered from them before and will have no hesitation in ordering from them again and in recommending them to anyone thinking of purchasing from this Nursery.

Excellent communication, fast delivery, well packaged. The plants i purchased are very healthy well potted and in decent moist compost.

I've bought plants for 2 lots of hedging from Ashridge and have been very impressed with the success rate (100%). Ordering was simple and I was kept informed about the progress of my order. Bareroot saplings are lifted under specific conditions so there was a wait for the order to be delivered, but they arrived securely packaged and healthy. I purchased the recommended Rootgrow and I'm sure that contributed to successful planting. I thought a few plants had died, but after several months in the ground they have finally started producing new leaves. The Ashridge website is informative with planting tips and videos. I would recommend Ashridge for value for money and customer service.

Lovely plants delivered in good time and in great condition complete with useful care instructions. Good communication was also part of the service. It was an easy and enjoyable experience ordering from Ashridge Nurseries!

Any business can be good when things go right, but how they deal with problems is a true measure. When my order arrived with some slight transit damage, the staff dealt with the matter promptly, courteously and with no fuss. I have never experienced customer service like it and would recommend Ashridge to anyone. Excellent.

Ordered on line 5 Chandos Beauty - Hybrid Tea Roses. It was very simple to order on line, and very competitive on price, when I received in late January the quality of the roses where better than expected, faultless, now they have started to flower I am more impressed with the quality, and cannot praise Ashridge Nurseries enough, I will certainly use them again and without hesitation recommend them to anybody

Ashridge nurseries provide a customer service experience second to none.
I had an issue with a purchase three months later. True to their word they sent a replacement immediately , very responsive - offered me a total refund or a replacement , I chose the latter as generally the trees are of great quality .
Would not hesitate to recommend .

I ordered and received a shipment of 25 bare root beech hedging plants in March 2021 - by the end of May none of them appeared to have survived and I emailed Ashridge to let them know. I contacted them again at the end of May when it was quite obvious the plants were all dead and sent photos and details of planting, care etc. They agreed the plants were past help and have agreed to replace them in November 2021 with, at my request, hornbeam rather than beech - they have also waived the delivery charge.

An excellent outcome for both the client and the supplier.

Haven’t received my order yet, but customer ordering experience and communications is first class.
