My new Nikon COOLPIX P1100 arrived from Ashton Little, and I couldn’t be happier with both the camera and the service. The camera arrived the next day via DPD and was exceptionally well packaged. The P1100 is an amazing camera with incredible zoom and fantastic image quality. A big thank you to the team at Ashton Little for another excellent buying experience. Highly recommended!

I was looking for a decent camera and found Ashton Little. At first I thought there must be a catch because they were very competitive on price and promised next day delivery if ordered before 4pm.
The camera arrived as promised. No issues with the items. The case I ordered was too large and they agreed to take it back and refund me. No questions asked.
So overall an excellent shopping experience and I will certainly buy more items in the future

Competitively priced equipment with next day delivery. Ordered one day and arrived the next as advertised. Follow up email next day from their sales manager. So far great experience.

Checked by email on a couple of points and had a reply withing 1/2 hour.

The service was very efficient. The camera was well packaged and arrived very quickly.

It might be going too far to describe Ashton Little as a scam site since the Canon PowerShot SX740 HS that I paid for was eventually delivered.
The box was marked "NOT INTENDED FOR SALE OUTSIDE JAPAN CONTAINS NO WARRANTY FOR OUTSIDE JAPAN".
This seems to confirm the experience of other reviewers who have been charged for illegitimate "grey market" goods and then find that the manufacturer will not repair under warranty.

- The item was supplied with a charger for US power sockets and a UK adaptor that could not fit the charger.
- It arrived three weeks later than promised (by which time I was out of the country).
- Ashton-Little charged £708 for an item that is about £470 or less from other suppliers (which were however at that time out of stock). This is about 50% overpriced.
- Repeated email requests for delivery to my neighbour were not acknowledged and were ignored.
- The item was left in the wet behind my house in a box marked "THIS ITEM MUST BE SIGNED FOR".

The Nikon P1000 that I bought from them in January 2024 has two faults. First it randomly refuses to write to an SD card that it has just written (up to 50) photos to.
The second fault is the camera randomly locks up and none of the controls work.
Ashton Little state that everything these sell is guaranteed for 2 years. The first year by the manufacturer, so I contacted Nikon. They told me to send the camera to them. Then they said that it’s a grey import, so not covered by their Europe wide warranty.
The repairs will cost £217.73 which Ashton Little claim is due to my damaging the camera, not the fact that they didn’t buy it from the UK distributor.
Unfortunately British consumer law does not offer much protection for purchasers.

These guys supported me on a faulty camera that was out of the box. They assisted in troubleshooting steps and were constantly in touch with me.

Ultimately, we couldn't get the camera on, so they asked me to return the faulty one, and they sent out a brand-new one the next day.

They saved my season's memories, and I will recommend them to anyone. I will use them again 100% because of their 5 ***** service.

As Wednesday arrived - no delivery , no email ..

I emailed them saying I needed it for Friday 30th - and was informed - it would be delivered - by - sales? agent? =. Dill @ this -terrible ?company ..
I emailed to verify its delivery on the 30th to be told - its on the way - via - DPD - on Tuesday - 3rd September ..
I received a reply from - Dill - informing me it’ll be Nearly a week late - if it comes …
Problem is - I’m leaving on a 14 day holiday Monday - 2nd - for 14 days ..

As DPD very often , leave against the front door .. The lens would be left in the weather - and possibly stolen …
As I live in a busy area. So now - I’ve paid my money , 1289.00 gbp - for a lens to take away - on holiday - which I don’t have .. And won’t have .. for it to arrive late … And be left there …
DPD can be cancelled , and diverted , online - many times I have - received tracking .. Which - is why I thought it odd - I haven’t gotten tracking info - just broadening excuses from - Awful company ?
No lens - out of pocket ..
Having to take heavier kit… So ok - they maybe a bit cheaper - But - don’t expect it next day …
If I get my refund quickly - I can buy elsewhere … Get what I purchased … I had used - this place previously - they had been late - ok .. But I shouldn’t be fobbed off - with excuses … As they are most likely - short staffed , as its holiday time …

Apparently they have - managed to cancel - delivery - but seemingly - depending on me removing - this review ?? - as to when I may receive my £1289.00 refund ?

My lens ended up - costing - an extra £10.00 including - Saturday delivery . Guaranteed - and it arrived !!!!

Having purchased a Sony A7ii full frame camera I searched for a Tamron 70-300 lens and found one at Ashtonlittle which I ordered at considerable saving on the list price. I received the lens via DPD very promptly and I can not fault the service I received from Ashtonlittle

Have been looking to upgrade my DSLR to a Nikon D7500 for a while now. As it is such a popular camera, good second hand examples are few and far between. I decided, therefore, to buy new. Ashton Little were by far the cheapest. Ordered last Wednesday, it arrived on Friday morning. Well pleased with it. Would definitely recommend this company. Great products, great prices, and great Customer Service...what's not to like.

I’ve just taken up wildlife photography in my retirement as a pastime. I wanted some advice about the best camera kit to buy. Phil pointed me to a great beginner camera kit on the website that included all I needed to start taking photos of wildlife. Delivered the next day. Couldn’t be happier. Have started to take some great shots out and about. Would highly recommend Ashton Little to other photography enthusiasts.

Communication was quick and easy. My order came the next day via DPD.

I used Pro-Camera.co.uk, which is the same as this company (same address on website, same website design, etc).

I wanted to order a camera that was advertised as Next Day delivery. I emailed on Monday to ask if they had one in stock and could delivery by Thursday, which is when I needed it by. They emailed back to say they had one in stock, and a minute later I had replied to say I would buy it (asking them to email if any issues), and 5 mins after that I'd checked out.

I emailed to ask for a tracking number. I was told it would be delivered on Friday. I said this was likely too late, and they said that they'd escalate this to their shipping manager. It's now Wednesday. I asked when I'd get a tracking number, and was told that I'd get a tracking number next Monday for delivery on Tuesday.

This is too late for me, and I now don't trust any date they give. I have asked for a refund, but am skeptical about whether it will be processed any time soon. Luckily I paid via credit card so have Section 75 protection.

[EDIT 1: The company says it has refunded me (waiting to see it in my account) but has called and emailed to ask if I'll remove this review. I am inclined not to, because it accords with other experiences that I'd been worried about before ordering and I wouldn't have ordered had I known I'd have this experience.]

[EDIT 2: The company has further asked that I remove this review as I purchased via Pro-Camera.co.uk, but both websites share an address and telephone number and and the "about us" pages of both websites name the company as Middleton Hill Limited with the same company registration number.]

Required a Canon SX740 next day delivery however I was then advised the camera would not be with me until 4 days after I ordered it which was no good. I asked if my order could be cancelled however due to the parcel already being out for delivery they were unable to cancel it. I was understandably very frustrated with the whole situation that went on however when I asked to return it, Phil offered for DPD to collect the parcel directly from me so I didn’t need to send this myself which I was very appreciative of, from then I received a full refund for the camera. What started as a not great experience turned into a pleasant experience with Ashton Little.
