Very disappointed with my experience with Astra Removals.

The final invoice was significantly higher than expected. When I queried the additional charges, I was told that I had not included the staff’s travel time to my address and their return journey to base. This was never clearly explained to me before the booking or during the move. I have since spoken to other people who have used the same company, and they told me they were not charged separately for travel time, which raises concerns about the consistency and transparency of the pricing.

The staff were friendly and polite, but the job took much longer than originally estimated. At the start, I was told the move would take around 4 hours. However, the team worked very slowly throughout the day and even acknowledged that they were taking longer than normal, stating that I would be paying for 5 hours anyway. In the end, the move took 6 hours.

I understand that moving times can vary, but I expect clear communication about charges and a reasonable level of efficiency. Unfortunately, neither was provided in my case.

Based on my experience, I would not recommend Astra Removals.

Astra Removals were AMAZING. Ricky and his team were so helpful and nothing was too much trouble. So pleased we chose them to do our move. They were up against difficult circumstances, and Ricky was very creative in making the move, long distance, over a 3 day period happen. which suited us, to be honest. His team were helpful and polite and I would certainly recommend them. Their quote was very realistic too.

Astra removals are very competitively priced. All the staff were very pleasant but we moved over the two hottest days in the year in June so they did suffer. We only had two breakages but they did sort it. The packing on the first day was v good but on the second day one was totally useless and there was a lack of supervision by their leader. They also underestimated the time it would take so it was very rushed on the second day.
They came to collect all the packing boxes and brought pack the repaired sideboard leg.

Very quick and reliable service! No idea how 3 people can move the entire flat so fast! Amazing!

OUTSTANDING service!
The 2 guys were prompt, worked so hard and quick, everything packed so neat and secure! They went above and beyond on the hottest day of the year! Nearly 40⁰ in my daughters flat and they didn't moan once! We kept them watered!!! So happy with the service, could not rate them highly enough.... wouldn't dream of using anyone else in the future! 5*

I Contacted regarding a house move. He Requested details and photos of items that needed moving( which were provided promptly) He replied initially saying he would confirm availability and pricing, but after that did not respond further, despite messages being read. No booking was made

The guys at Astra were nothing short of legendary. Getting a quote was easy using WhatsApp, the quote they provided was comprehensive and very competitive. Their communication was great phoning to check arrangements. They delivered boxes, packing materials and tape to me a couple of weeks before the move so I could pack, which is what I’d chosen to do.
On the move day they called to say they were on their way.
We moved in the extreme heat in May 2026 which made conditions very difficult. Despite this the team worked incredibly hard and despite the 30+ degree heat joked and laughed throughout keeping me and my kids in a positive mindset.
I’m a single parent of two kids and the team could not have been more considerate and kind to my children.
They were very thorough and nothing I asked was too much trouble.
The team dismantled all my large furniture and reassembled in once in its new home.
All in all the team made my move a very positive experience despite the adverse conditions. I could not recommend them highly enough. Thank you guys for all your amazing work.

This company is great. Two men arrived on time. On a bank holiday too. They were polite and chatty. I only live in a 1vbed flat, but all in back of van in an hour. The other end was ground floor so much easier.
I recommend astra removals and if I ever move again they will get my business.

Very efficiently run packing and house removal service. Professional friendly team who worked flexibly around our needs. They made what was a big daunting move bearable. Amazing team of workers! Would recommend their service.

Ricky gave me confidence that Astra would be reliable on the day. Staff arrived promptly and very efficiently packed up my furniture etc. Despite a long delay in completion on the day, the staff remained polite, helpful and re-assuring. Not to mention amusing!
They worked without complaint until 7:30pm to move me in. I cannot fault Astra and would highly recommend.

They were very friendly and helpful. We didn’t need to lift a finger. We would use them again for our move. You can trust they do a good job.

I've moved a number of times, but Astra Removals proved to be the best company I have used. They were very helpful and, particular important for me, they were cheerful and nothing was too much trouble for them.

From the ease of the quotation process - with a really competitive price - through to an intense yet courteous three day move Astra were exemplary.

The mover was to a complex site - with a full 18t plus a Luton and the staff worked hard to- deliver all they promised.
