We used this company for our move on 29/04/2026 and unfortunately the experience was very disappointing from start to finish.

The team arrived without equipment we had specifically been told would be provided, including a clothing rail and even a working drill, meaning they ended up using our own tools. Furniture that was meant to be dismantled and reassembled was left damaged, with screws and fixings missing, including a desk that is now unusable. Our dining table was left upside down still wrapped and not rebuilt at all.

The move also took far longer than expected, to the point where the team had to leave before the job was properly completed, leaving us to deal with significant additional work ourselves.

What upset me most was the overall attitude afterwards. When I raised the issues, the response felt defensive and argumentative rather than genuinely apologetic. We were refunded £200, which I accepted, but this did not come close to covering the time, stress, damage and inconvenience caused. During the call, it was also suggested that other customers had paid more than we did, as though that somehow justified the level of service we received. We paid the full quoted price and expected a professional service regardless.

Moving house is stressful enough without having to repair furniture, finish incomplete work and clean up after the movers themselves.

I would not personally use this company again.

Very happy with Plaza removals. They visited us in person to have a look round our contents, and provide an accurate and reasonable quote. The packing team were great and efficient on day one, then the delivery team worked long and hard to get all our stuff up floor flights of stairs and into our new home on day two. We had two small items damaged in the move, which Mo had repaired so carefully you'd never ever know. All in all, a good bunch, experienced, and problem solvers. Thank you.

Service was fine and move was done. However, the dining table was damaged in the process and the company tried to send an imitation of the designer dining table to "replace" it and told me that making a claims would take a long time. I rejected the imitation of the dining table and proceed to ask them to make a claim but Plaza removals deals with Youshield, an insurance broker, and after 3 months of emailing back and forth, there was still no reply from insurance. The case will proceed to filing against Financial Ombudsman Services and Small Claim Tribunal.

The first company we used gave us very bad service. The team at plaza removals were able to help us at short notice. They were efficient and made sure our home move was completed. We would recommend them for anyone moving home.

Plaza is the most organized moving company we encountered amongst the ones we enquired.

They rang to arrange a surveyor to assess our furniture and stuff. Dani even went to the carpark to see how the route should go. They rang again two days before to confirm the moving.

On the day of moving, they rang before and upon arrival. The staff was swift and took good care in packing and moving. Everything went smooth and well. Not a single plate was broken.

A week later, they sent somebody to take the empty boxes for recycle. It wasn't the cheapest quotation we got but I think they delivered very well. Highly recommend.

Plaza Removals were amazing from start to finish. The quotation was done in person & issued promptly. On moving day Sahim, Abbas & Farhan went above and beyond, not only taking the greatest of care with our belongings, but also finding solutions to getting some of our oversized pieces in and out of a confined space. These guys worked tirelessly all day and absolutely nothing was too much trouble. We couldn't recommend them highly enough.

We used Plaza Removals for our recent house move, relocating from a two‑bed flat to a house approximately 10 minutes away. We obtained several quotes, and Plaza stood out for their proposed level of service and flexibility. At the time of booking, we had not yet exchanged contracts, and Plaza confirmed that the moving date could be changed with 48 hours’ notice, which we found reassuring.
Ali visited the flat to assess the volume of items to be moved, provided a quote on the same day, and asked whether we could move on Good Friday rather than the day before, as we had some flexibility. This worked well for us, so we agreed.

Unfortunately, this is where the experience began to present some challenges. Ali explained that the usual process would involve a crew packing everything the day before and returning the following day to complete the move. However, as we were moving from a flat, he advised that packing and moving could be completed in one day. At the time, this seemed like a practical option as it minimised disruption.

On the day of the move, the team arrived at 9:30am. We asked for an indication of how long packing would take, as we wanted to carry out a final inspection of the flat before leaving. The team estimated approximately 4–5 hours, so we left them to proceed. When we returned four hours later, packing was not close to completion, so we attended to a few additional errands. After seven hours, packing was still ongoing. As we had tasks to complete at the new house, we asked the team to lock up and continued with our day.

At 6:30pm (nine hours after the team had arrived), we received a call to say they were on their way to the new property. The journey then took over 30 minutes, despite being a 10–15 minute drive.
Before the crew arrived at the new house, I emailed Plaza to express my dissatisfaction with how the day had progressed. Mo called me back within 10 minutes, which was particularly impressive given that it was 6:30pm on a Bank Holiday. I was unable to speak at length as the team had just arrived, but despite this, Mo contacted Ali, who came to the property to assist with unloading and reassembling furniture.

The team remained on site until all large items of furniture were assembled and we were satisfied with the placement of boxes. They finished at approximately 8:30pm. Mo then called again shortly after they left to check in and, very kindly, offered to reimburse us for our takeaway due to the length of the day.

Overall, this was not a positive experience, primarily due to a significant underestimation of the time required for the job, which made the day stressful and difficult to plan. That said, I was very impressed with Plaza’s customer service and responsiveness before, during, and after the move, which went some way towards resolving the situation. I would consider using Plaza again, but would recommend that expectations around timings are managed more accurately in the future.

Update: The day after I posted this review I was offered a partial refund of £150 but only if I amended this (which I did not as I felt it was disingenuous, so received no refund whatsoever)

Absolutely outstanding service from first contact to completed move.

I had several companies quote for my move, only Plaza offered an in person visit to assess the move and discuss my requirements in detail.

They were very patient and accommodating during the house sale process which was long and torturous, - the moving date changed several times.

And the move itself? Absolutely marvellous- 3 guys came to pack on day one and worked so quickly and quietly I was amazed. On moving day 5 guys arrived with 2 vans and were so skilled and efficient they made a stressful process seem like a breeze!

100% recommend this company, not the cheapest quote but worth every penny.
