Jumping on the “woke” wagon

This really isn’t a store experience, just something I have noticed..,
They have gone so woke, it’s just annoying because it’s not reality. Every catalog has mostly people of color and their stores are staffed with predominantly people of color. Now I wouldn’t normally care if they had done this all along, nor if they truly represented the population, but it’s just so damned obvious! It was not like this two years ago. I truly hate that they are pushing an agenda rather than selling clothing.

Horrible customer support

After I received an email like my visa card “looks like fraud to them” which is totally nonsense; I had to call them to verify my info and they switch me from one agent to another to verify my info again. Why? It was an annoying experience with an unprofessional customer team. I decided not to continue with this order and spend my $300 with Spanx. Much better experience!! Goodbye atleta, never again!

I placed an order on 12/6 for a Christmas gift. I received ZERO communication from the company letting me know the item was on back order (it was available when I purchased). Now, a full month later, they tell me it is estimated to be another five weeks before I might have it.
The least they could have done was offer a 1% off coupon or $1 as an apology. But no, they didnt offer anything for my trouble.
So, goodbye Athleta and all of your family of brands.
This mom of four will never cloth my children in your clothes or shop in your stores. And I assure you I will tell everyone I know how rude the customer service rep was!!!

Would not order from Athleta again as…

Would not order from Athleta again as so many online services are better at other companies. I ordered a pair of sneakers (Saysh) from Athleta. Unfortunately had to return them. I am being told now to allow 15+5 business days for the refund. No where online is this specified that the processing will take that long and no other company that I order from has a 20 business day policy that I deal with. I order almost everything and with a refund policy like Athleta has, I will not order from them again.

Train your agents, Athleta.

I ordered a gift a year ago and so now I get catalogs in the mail. Called the number the catalog says to contact to opt out. Paper catalogs are useless and wasteful in many ways. I got forwarded around (customer service sent me to research?) and put on hold and the agents were very confused and asked if I was talking about a digital catalog? After 15 minutes of having the agent come back a few times telling me how confused she was, I gave up. I think I got off the list via a chat. Why aren't they training their people correctly, especially when not doing so makes it look like the company is not paying attention to growing global awareness of environment/climate issues and the contributions of the fashion industry?

Cute design. Lousy quality.

I bought a pair leggings. Totally cute design. Within a few weeks they were pilling and the threads pulling. They were moderately priced (~$100) so I get they shouldn't last forever but I did expect to get a season's wear out of them.

I vowed to never buy from Athleta again.

Fast forward a few years later. My boyfriend gives me a vest with his company's logo. Super cute fitted design with a quilted pattern. Fits nicely. The zipper always sticks. I can't wear it because it takes at least five minutes to fiddle with the zipper. I notice the back label .. Athleta. Of course.

Too bad. I would love to buy more of their stuff.

Horrible customer service

I, unfortunately bought about 8 workout bras in a size that should have fit, and seemed to fit, until I actually wore a couple of them for more than a few hours. They dug into my neck so badly. When I called customer service, I explained I was only able to find 1 of the receipts, they said, no problem, just take all of them in to a local store all at once and they would give me an in store credit for the ones I can't find the receipts for. I take them in to the store and they attempted to submit them for in store credit, but their system wouldn't let them process the credit because the return was flagged due to multiple previous returns??? Hello?? Of course I make returns. I order a lot of things on line, usually in multiple sizes, and return the ones that don't fit. I called customer service again and they said that if I still had the tags I could try selling them on line. What?!!!?? Yes, as others have stated... beware. They used to have great customer service and have gone down hill completely.

I used to love this company

I used to love this company. I bought a good portion of my athletic wear from them (I am an equestrian that also exercises outside of riding to help my riding). In the last two years, they honestly have gotten just *awful*. They are so busy supporting the woke cancel culture that they: have overpriced goods that are largely unusable by real athletes; have terrible returns issues (very very long to give you a refund), have most of the pics of their wear on very very overweight people - it's almost impossible to tell what the garb would look like on the average athlete. *everything* seems geared to the very overweight woman.

I applaud them supporting all shapes and sizes, but this is no longer an athletic company.

It is a plus sized company - why don't they simply admit that?

One small way to fix it it is to allow you to choose the size of model you wish displayed so you can see how something would fit you. As a size 2, seeing someone in a XXL garment gives me no idea how something would work on me. My guess is the XXXL women might feel the same way looking at only size 2's.

I have officially given up on a company I used to buy 50% of my clothing from. sad.

The worst company to deal with when…

The worst company to deal with when returning items. It took them almost a month to receive a return DESPITE the fact that I shipped it to them via UPS on 12 May, they received on 14 May and did not process the return until 2 June. The refund has yet to hit my credit card account so now I have to dispute the charge with the credit card company. BUYER BEWARE!!!!

long wait, no product delivered

I ordered a pair of long trekkie north pants in March and was told at the end of May that they would have to cancel my order. no reason was given. they gave me a 10% off coupon - that same pair of pants, which I ordered on sale, is now more than that - even if using the 10% coupon. is this a scam, really bad customer service --- or both?

I ordered on line and when the cloths were received there was no order information in the package. I needed to return an item and Athleta would not help me at all and did not have order number. I know all they had to do was use my email to retrieve order but they required my address. When I gave it to them, they said it did not match their records and could not help me. Interesting how the clothes showed up to that address. ‘Customers service’ was awful. DO NOT order anything from this company- you will have a very hard time returning it.

I used to love athleta but the past…

I used to love athleta but the past couple years the quality has gone way down. It seems every time I order leggings they don't fit right and the material isn't stretching in the right places. I've ordered 2 identical leggings and the each fit completely different. I think they're too focused on things other than quality at this point.

I can hardly believe the nasty reviews here! I've been shopping at Athleta (online and in-store) for about 8 years, and while some season's styles are more or less to my taste, their clothes consistently excel in quality and washability (they hold up like few other brands), their customer service is consistently friendly, efficient and responsive, and their culture (B corp, give it a workout return policy, sizes for all bodies, etc., etc.) is exactly in line with my own values. They have a lot of pieces that double as everyday and work wear (I live and work in Paris and their stuff is the foundation of some of my best work outfits, so not just athleisure style). I really wonder what the motivation of some of the reviewers on here is? Excellent, durable clothes from a responsible company.

Don't like the latest styles

I love the quality of the products and used to buy a lot from Athleta. But the styles of 2020 and 2021 are not flattering, so I buy somewhere else.

I forgot to include the discount code…

I forgot to include the discount code (20%) when checking out and tried to contact customer support to get the discount applied. Experienced a complete electronic run around and noresponse from customer service or web support. The first response was "wrong department" and the link they sent me to the correct department was bogus and the link on Paypal details was non-functional. What a pain, I guess they needed the extra $40. Will not buy from them again. At this writing still have not recieved a response. The product has not shipped yet so my expectation is this request shouldn't be difficult to fulfill.

Crap business

I've been ordering from them for a few years. I have found for the price, not that good of quality. Lululemon is more$$ but better quality. The worst part of this company is there in ability to ship items correctly and on time. Before covid I've had horrible results with this issue and for them to try and tag the delivery service is horrible. It took them 10 days to ship and item was incorrect. Now it's my responsibility to return. There asking customer to go into a business during covid. Crap business.

I was a loyal Athleta customer for…

I was a loyal Athleta customer for several years but no longer! I returned an item to a store which was never credited to my Athleta credit card. After trying SEVERAL months to resolve this issue (including mailing a letter and copy of the return receipt), I have finally given up on Athleta. I have cancelled my Athleta credit card and will no longer shop there.

Cannot UNSUSCRIBE for FOUR MONTHS!

For the last four months I’ve tried to unsubscribe from both Athleta and Athleta Fit Pro emails. I have hit UNSUBSCRIBE on FOUR different occasions and STILL receiving emails. So then I called the number at the bottom of the emails.

On the FOURTH CALL I was ASSURED by a manager that I would be REMOVED from ALL emails. Guess what? I’m STILL receiving them!

On the FIFTH call I speak to another customer manager and she tells me that I need to CALL the STORE where I signed up for the Fit PRO membership. I call the store and of course they tell me they have nothing to do with the emails or control of unsubscribing.

This is ABSOLUTELY ridiculous!! Can you explain this? Do you think I'll EVER shop with you AGAIN??

STILL not resolved, four months later.
