Atlas Debt Relief Avis 

Garbage! Don't do it. You can call debt collectors and set up payment plans on your own at any time. Atlas is slow and only looking out for their best interest- NOT YOURS. I was a fool to think a business would be looking out for me. I was sued by a debt collector within 3 months of enrolling in their program, and that's when I found out that Atlas had not reached out to any of the debt collectors. After that, I pulled 4 of the 5 debts out of the program and made arrangement for them on my own. There was one debtor that offered a $3000 settlement on a $12,000 debt but Atlas did not accept it saying I didn't have enough in my "savings" to pay it and their fee and have funds left over for the other debts. I had already paid them $5000 by then. They didn't accept the offer, and the amount went up to $6000 if paid at once. The one debt that I was sued over was originally $12,600, in court it was settled to $10,400 and is now costing me $13,500 because Atlas is charging a $3100 fee based on the original enrolled amount not the settled amount. So, I am paying more than I would have it they never got involved. They still have not paid off that debt despite be paying in more than $10,000- they are making interest on my payments. This is all my fault for being naïve and careless with my credit BUT DO NOT THINK ATLAS WILL HELP YOU. You can do it better on your own.

At first I was really concerned as to what can happen to the program. But seeing how the process went, I was relieved of the outcome. Atlas Debt Relief helped me bigtime. Thank you so very much for helping me out.

I do like the way everything is going so far.

The program is to vague, no one reaches out to you to make sure you understand what's going on and have confidence in the process. Atlas takes entirely to long to settle a debt. I have been putting $300+ dollars into my account for over a year and they just settled my first account for a little over $500, completely unacceptable. I will not suggest anyone I know to go through this type of process.

November 2023 I entered Atlas plan with 6 debts. I have paid each month on time and have never failed. Atlas only negotiated one (1) debt. Over last 6 months 2024 that one debt is fully paid off. NO OTHER SETTLEMENTS by ATLAS and my money is in my account! Help.

They send reminders. I have settled my first dept and it went smoothly

Great experience I fell as though on the road to finical freedom. Excellent communication and the website is a organize and very useful resource.

I was very much relief with all the help… satisfied with all the services from all the staff I’ve talked over the phone, teach me and explain everything to me in a nice way.., for being patients in me. Words are not enough to thank them all.

11th October 2024:
The company is legit and they have been helping me for the last 2 years with credit card debt payments. Granted that it is a big amount that I have to pay every month, they still helped reduce the amount that I had to pay back. In the beginning I was hesitant (my husband found them, not me), especially when my credit score dropped at first from stopping credit card payments, and it took them time to start paying off the cards.
But now my credit score is going back up again, one of the cards has been paid off. They helped me with 2 lawsuits against credit card companies that refused to settle with them. They handled the situation and the only thing I had to do was send letters to the creditors to inform them that Atlas Debt Relief was representing me and to stop harassing me with constant communication but rather reach out to Atlas to arrange a settlement. All my cards are in active payment plans now, and I'm on my way to getting rid of this debt. It wasn't a small amount so it would take time, and they won't do this for free so obviously there's a fee but it's still less than the original debt amount.

The only catch is that whatever money I save on the debt (difference between original debt amount and negotiated amount), is considered taxable income by the IRS. But that's more of an IRS issue, rather than an issue with this company. So if you're serious about getting out of debt, and you're willing to give the program some time (given the size of your debt), I would recommend this company.

I would like more information more often as to my accounts being paid off sooner it seems all are taking so long to pay off.

It takes too long to get the loans approved and the company should have the funds available for the negotiations and not rely on the customer to pay into the account before Atlas negotiates.

Altas Debit gave me relief from intrest charges on my account!

This is an update to an earlier review I wrote back in November of 2023, after Atlas got my first settlement done. They did get one of my major creditors to agree to another settlement and that is being paid off as I write this, but since early this year there has been no communication from the company (other than the automated response to indicate they received a document I uploaded), my requests to customer service for answers in writing have been ignored, and it appears there has been no actions taken on my remaining debts. I am still hopeful to see some progress soon, but I am beginning to suspect I will have to file a complaint with the Consumer Protection Agency and NC Attorney General’s office in order to get any kind of response (other than an email telling me to call them).

The time line was spot on. Very accurate. However, the amount of my money wasn't. After paying you approximately 2464.00 before the settlement was reached, I am now paying 309.46 AND an additional 100.00 per month which has put a great deal of hardship on me. I was told at the time of my original agreement that the 308.00 would be the most, maybe even a little less. That will be 5455.00 to Chase and 4264.00 to you
