My house auction went incredibly smoothly, all thanks to Chris and the south west team! I'd highly recommend Auction House UK to anyone who needs their services.

Terrible service: a visit to their website to view one of their listings results in a torrent of nuisance emails pestering me to progress my enquiry which is very worrying. When one contacts them by messenger about it, they just send an auto-reply. When one contacts them by email about it, they just ignore you. It's not a very personal, or professional, service.
19/08/26 - Update- further to their reply, I have contacted them (after 3 weeks I hope third time lucky !) to ask for an explanation regarding the unsolicited emails: I shall post a further update when/if I have one.

We had the desire to dispose of a property quickly so considered selling at auction. From what I could see Auction House is at or near the top when it comes to property auctions in the UK. Things went as quickly and as smoothly as hoped. Katie was excellent throughout the process, as were the rest of the team. Ours was not a typical auction property so Katie had to work harder to explain the situation to potential buyers, which she was doing right up to the last minute of the auction, and with success.

We'd considered the pros and cons of selling a fairly standard house at auction. It was a comfort that right from the beginning Katie did a perfect job of explaining the situation in a very balanced way so that we wouldn't have any unrealistic hopes of the outcome. We really got the feeling that her top priority is to look after the sellers and buyers through complete openness and honesty. That's very refreshing as she was presenting nothing but facts, figures and examples instead of employing the usual worn out transparent sales tactics which I don't respond well to at all.

A very daunting time, selling our late father’s house was handling with respect, professionalism and friendliness.
I rang Katie at 6pm on a Wednesday evening, and straight away I was put at ease. Everything was explained clearly, and she met with us the next morning. Photos were taken that day, and by the Monday, the house was on their website, and also on Rightmove.
We communicated regularly via phone and messages. There was a lot of interest before the auction, and she guided us carefully throughout. We had a pre- auction offer and Katie advised, with her unlimited experience and expertise, and we accepted a pre-auction offer well above the reserve price.
Nothing was too much. My silly questions were answered without judgement and with clear explanations.
Katie understood my work commitments and spoke to me during evenings, so nothing felt pressured.
Katie handled everything until the exchange date. Everything was handled professionally, but most importantly for me, with kindness.
If you have any doubt about whether you should use this company, you will not be disappointed.

Buying at Auction by definition is tricky but communication was good throughout the process. Staff were friendly and pleasant to work with.

This was my first time selling at auction. Katie, the local rep, clearly explained the process, advised on pricing, and kept in touch with the investors who had registered on the web portal. The livestream auction went well with some lively bidding (which was probably due to Katie's spot on pricing advice to me and her keeping in touch with the investors). The auctioneer was very well briefed on the lot and worked really hard to get the bids in with the hammer falling on a price higher than I was expecting.

Super efficient from start to finish. Chris did exceptional job of communicating throughout the process, following through and making the deal happen.
