Beginning of my experience was pleasant…

Beginning of my experience was pleasant dealing with mr. Brian Dean however after becoming a frequent customer his communication fell off deteriorated especially after he was caught in a lie concerning my last vehicle. It was a purchase for a customer of the BMW SUV S3 series which was ordered and paid for in full. I was initially told that the vehicle would be shipped out in time to arrive in July. I was later told that you have been vandalized in Jamaica and that they would have to replace it on the ship it out again. The latest date I was given was the first week of September. After continuing to try to communicate with him and being brushed off I finally was able to run him down only to be told that the vehicle had already arrived in Nassau. After communicating with another customer I realized that he had told her about the vehicle being still on their lot waiting for payment. Now he is remove me from the chat and refused to reply to any of my attempts to contact him. I am now in the process of trying to recoup funds for both the BMW and a note that I have also ordered with this company. I'm in the process also of legal proceedings I would not advise anybody to do business with this company especially over a period of time.

NIGHTMARISH

I was introduced to Auction House Japan (AHJ) by a friend, but this is one of the most horrendous experiences that I have faced in a very long time. Being a Japanese company, it was easy to trust the AHJ because naturally Japs play fair and are value-based. However, I was shocked and continue to be shocked. Why?

Briefly, in April 2019, I ordered a Mercedes Bluetech 2010, Black in colour with 27K mileage valued at $13K--and this is consistent with a quote that I got from the sales representative called Maria Francis. I also made payments towards the same. After payment, the situation became blurry. Soon I discovered that the car was unavailable so the chase begun. After so many calls and emails, Maria introduced me to their Ugandan agent called Fred Bukenya to calm our nerves. He is a nice bloke, but equally slippery. In truth, we soon found out that his so called company Kampala Motor Bazar is not a legally registered entity. Overall, you are at the mercy of a fleeting guy.

The long and short, we finally got a heads up--around August 2019-- that AHJ had secured the car and it was en-route. The problem is; neither a pre-inspection report nor a Bill of Lading/Export certificate indicating the type of car was shared. It is apparent, that this is carefully done to blind the buyer until the car is at the port. Besides, after a long wait, the calculation is you are exhausted and will be too weak to fight. So this is how it goes, the Bill of Lading/Export certificate (conveniently translated by themselves) is sent in the agents name and if you are not careful to check with the port, you are rushed to pay taxes and once that's done you are legally liable for the dispatched vehicle.

In my case, I refused because what was shipped was a different specie i.e. Mercedes ML 350 4Matic 2007 model, white in colour with 83K mileage and notified AHJ (through my lawyers) to refund my monies. At first blush, they seemed remorseful and apologetic. After it became fuzzy and as-is have now gone dark like a reconnaissance drone. They do not call or even take up calls. This does not mean that they can run away. Justice might take long, but the long arm of the law--whether municipal or international--is surgical.

I start the court process soon. Not so many have the time, the willpower and resources to do so and have capitulated. In fact, the person who introduced me to AHJ went through similar ordeal. She was also careless that all communications where done via WhatsApp under the guise that AHJ's emails are on and off. She also did not scream. I have chosen not to be compressed or fear the reprisals--not because I am inherently brave like a Viking, but it is insulting and unethical for AHJ to continue this type of trading. It stinks, it smells like a scam. Yes it does !

If you are a buyer, please beware and do not fall into a similar trap. The company obviously has a sexy website, they quote sexy cars, appear cheap and are always re-assuring yet the reality is once they corner you it is a very terrible experience. I am going through one currently. I know it will take time, but I am prepared for the deep end.

Honestly i am deeply upset with Auction House Japan Services
its been three (3) months now and i have not yet received my deposit from AHJ

I first wrote my right up in July 17th 2019 and i got an email from AHJ promising me that they would look into the issues asap But upto today September the 16th 2019... they have not contacted me again nor refunded me my USD$ 2000

Honestly if it takes this long for AHJ to resolve the issue then it means there is a chain of complains from customers...

AHJ please attend to my complain asap

Quality of AHJ sourced vehicles

I received my third car in ten months from ahj. This is after good experience with my own car that made me recommend friends not to gamble on such huge investment. I look forward to bringing you more biz and building a lasting relationship. Thank you Kenneth Parker and team.

What a bad experience I have…..DEAL AT YOUR own RISK

What a bad experience I have encountered with AHJ
Madam Eden Victory your company is a shame, not trustworthy at all.
1. Your agent showed my nice silver pics of C-class 2005, we agreed on price in early April 2019 and paid 100%, only for the car to be shipped after 2mths.
To make matters worse, they shipped me a different car than the one I was showed, they shipped a dark blue car yet I paid for a silver with a different chassis

2. I bought another car Mercedes ML350 white with cream leather seats as shown by agent, paid for it in early June19, but car was shipped on 28thJuly, little did I know all this time they were luking for another car to send me. The agent assured me they wld send the carvi saw and chassis. Time comes and the ship has docked at port, for a week no BL documents were sent, I complained to her only kept promises, no one attends to calls for the number on websites, their customers chats only say will shall escalate.
The BL is finally sent but guess what the chassis number on the BL duffers from what I bought, it's silver with fabric seats. I was so disgusted, swore never too deal with AHJ again

Very unreliable service

I purchased a vehicle from Auction House Japan. During the sales process, the agent Shawn Diego was very responsive but after I paid for the vehicle, things changed.
The vehicle was shipped Aug 2nd and since then I have been requesting the documents to clear the vehicles. Today is Sept 7th and all the emails, messages, numerous assurances via their online chat and still no information on the documents.
The vehicle has arrived in country and I have no documents to clear it.and no information from Auction House Japan on the status of the documents
I am very wary about the quality of the vehicle given the problem with the documentation. This has been a terrible experience

Do business with them at your own risk

I was looking for a car in May 2019 & came across Auction House Japan (AHJ).. Everything looked legit on the site and everything checked out & so I signed up for an account in mid May 2019. Shortly after, one of their sales agents Mike Spencer called me after my account was set up.. This is what has happened in summary:
- For 2 weeks, Mike would send me photos of the car that I wanted while I sourced for financing.
- On May 28th after seeing a car I like I requested Mike to reserve it for me & he insisted tha I should pay $500 reservation fees which I did on May 29th.
- I completed the balance of $1,800 on June 7th and that is when the stories began.
*The car which I had paid reservation fees for had been sold to another buyer. I figured this out after my agent kept sending me pics of other cars after I had paid in full the amount we had agreed on.
*We settled on another vehicle which apparently didn't pass QISJ inspection.
*My agent Mike then told me that he'd found another car but due to bad weather, was waiting for the weather to get better so it can be taken to their yard.. 2 weeks passed.
*Then the agent finally told me that he had to travel to another town to source for my car directly, then he sent me the auction sheet for a car rated R. That my friends means that the car needs major repairs. After fighting on phone for 3 days, I agreed that they should fix it for me & take it for inspection. I was resigned to the fact that I'd been played & I just needed my car.
- On 31st July 2019 (2 months & 2 days after I had started this process), I was sent for the inspection certificate for the repaired car and was promised it would be shipped to Kenya on 16th August. Today is 15th August & my agent has been avoiding all my calls & messages for the last two weeks. All I wanted is a shipping order. This shipping order is important in order to organise for marine insurance from a local insurance company
* before I forget, somewhere between this car being repaired and inspection - I was contacted by another agent. I thought things would change.. At some point he called to ask me to pay an extra $150 for "priority shipping". I was so mad.. imagine being told to pay extra for your car to arrive in good time when they are solely responsible for all these delays - I felt insulted.

Now, for me to come & write this whole story here, I have given these guys enough time to fix their screw ups. I have contacted them through the customer care agents on their website at least 7 times in the last 6 weeks and their response is always a non-commital "we have forwarded your compliant - one of our sales agents will contact you".
- I am aware of the implication of this bad review - these guys might refuse to ship my car or refuse to refund me altogether. I have made peace with the financial implication of this complaint. If this is the case then I'll be back to update you on this.
- There's no direct way to lodge a complain on the website (their contact form doesn't work - surprise surprise!!). For 2.5 months I have been patient with these guys but they have taken my patience for granted. I don't think it's fair how they've taken me in circles. I strongly believe that because my car is not that expensive, they can afford to treat me as expendable.

- it is not fair how this company treats customers and if I can do anything to ensure that things improve then I will do it.

In short.. if you want to import from Japan, import with this guys at your own risk but if I was you, I just would NOT import with them at ALL. Take your money, you patience & peace of mind elsewhere.

Very bad to deal with forged aution…

My experience with auction house japan
- dishonesty with the agent saying he was in japan but actually was not
- auction sheets were forged ,in other words fake. They did not mention the damage on the cars or thr rust.
- agent wont pay or do anythjng to compensate with their lack of professionalism and honesty. They held the cars that i had paid for weeks on need and months.
- they also sent papers to different addresses and under different names.
Name of agent - stanley dean

Trustworthy and reliable car dealers.

I'm from Barbados and wanted to import a vehicle from Japan in the Cayman Islands. First I had to find the trustworthy company and my research lead me to Auction House Japan.
Paul was assigned my account and he guided me from that moment up until the car reached my home.
After giving Paul my specifications he told me he would find me a car I will love and that he did.
The car is want he told me it would be and beyond my expectations.
Thank you Paul and of course the other AHJ team for making my dream.

Ishmael.

Dodgy website

Dodgy website. It doesn't allow you to proceed far enough to actually register an account, but it does let you go far enough to submit your phone number. After this, you will receive an unsolicited call from an agent who will offer to bid on vehicles on your behalf, quoting
uncompetitive prices.

This is based on my experience.

This is based on my experience.. I am not one for reviewing companies. I believe their success lies on how it treats its customers. Based on that premise, AHJ are not a company to invest long term. their customer service is poor, after care poor and commitment to customer satisfaction is poor. 1 out of 5.
