We had a hire car supplied by Northgate as part of a claim with Tesco insurance. Every point of contact with them was easy and stress free. All the staff we spoke to were patient and understanding and more important, they all had a sense of humour. I had never heard of Northgate before, but because of our brief experience this time I will seek them out if I ever need insurance services again.

Clueless service
Dreadful service, provided a replacement car that arrived with 30% charge, no instructions, no guidance no nothing and couldn’t leave fast enough. Follow up calls for help were all but useless.
Couldn’t use the Polestar app to charge as needs two keys and they only provide 1.
Now down to 9% charge - and nobody at Northgate has a clue what to do.
Your own your own with these guys.

Terrible when dealing with Glasgow…
Terrible when dealing with Glasgow branch. Hire car came late (out of hours) and dirty inside and outside. Called the next day to report but no answer so left message. No call back.
When I called to advise of vehicle to be collected I again highlighted I was waiting for a return call to discuss state of the car. Still no call back

Brilliant Service
Friendly staff, can't do enough for you. Did exactly what they said they would do. Called you back when they said they would do, which in this day and age is not the norm but the exception. Car was clean, they strived to get me a manual rather than an automatic as I requested. Just all round good, honest service. Got the job done with a friendly voice on the end of the phone

I used Northgate when a lady went into…
I used Northgate when a lady went into the back of my car and she left her details. I went through her insurance company rather than my own as the whole process was so much easier. I couldn't have been happier with their service from the collection of my car, the high quality hire car and then my repairs.

From the moment of notifying Northgate that my car had been damaged, I found that they were efficient and helpful. A hire car was offered and delivered promptly. A settlement was arrived at and paid very quickly. A pleasure to deal with.

From the first contact phone call to the final email confirming the closure of the claim, Northgate Insurance Services were amazing. Every step was explained, I was kept up to date with the progress of my claim in a timely manner and I really liked their claim account which I could access at any time to check on progress.
The garage used, the courtesy car, the delivery driver, fleet hire personnel, claims staff; all so professional, courteous and helpful.

This company is a leeching middle man
This company is a leech which shouldn't really exist. If you are offered their services by your insurance company don't do it and stay with your insurers.
They are solely interested in ensuring they are able to charge the at fault party's insurers exorbitant amounts of money to make profit, they have no interest in arranging your repair in a timely manner or protecting you at all.
