lack of professionalism

I am living in a council flat. From July 2023 requested some job in the flat what hasn't been done fully till today. The communication is very limited, the contractors didn't turn up, the job what they did in the flat is disgusting. I had apply for a kitchen repair in July, appointments been booked but the contractor didn't come. I have received the different material what we ordered. I have got 2 kitchen unit without handles, I have heating system upgraded, they made a hole for the ceiling too. The Axis didn't take any responsibility, they don't communicate with the customers, the contractors looks like amateurs. so annoying when I have to book days off to be at home and they didn't turn up.

Disappointed again Axis no shows

What a surprise another unattended appointment from Axis this time an apparent duplicate booking it’s really laughable. 3wasted days this week and still job not completed.
Also Joe M I’ve tried emailing you and for some reason it won’t send to the email you’ve provided postmaster keeps sending it back undelivered.
If you read all the previous emails barring 1 you can see a pattern think it’s time you sorted it out it’s the most unprofessional service I’ve ever had to have dealings with even the complaints service is a joke.

Absolute sh** show…

If I could give no star I would estuary tenant disabled had open heart surgery and left with repairs still not done since September all repairs that was booked in get cancelled what sh** show the girls on the phones are polite and try to help the rest let the company down no communication just a text with job number and new date .

I called in to report an issue…

I called in to report an issue regarding my roof the lady madeline was so helpful I was so shocked as I have received a bad experience before. Madeline went above and beyond for me and I was very happy with her politeness and manners. Axis need more people like her thank you madeline if you can see this.

Over a week with no heating!!

Over a week with no heating!!! It was booked as an emergency!
First they order wrong part. Then after waiting all day AGAIN. I just received a call to say sorry can’t get part we need to re book.
Appalling
Absolutely useless company
I’ve never dealt with such imbeciles!!

Thank you for your response. I’m surprised you want more detail. I do believe I was quite frank in my review regarding your companies inadequacies.
Your company took over 2 weeks to repair my heating. It was an 24 hour emergency. Thereafter, ordering wrong parts, then thinking it acceptable to call at 4.45pm after waiting in all day to tell me you’re not turning up!

Swollen door

I have been unable to lock my door and need to bang it both when opening and closing. Axis first visit was end of May 2023 I waited half a year until contacted them. The last 2 months they have missed 3 visits with no show and 2 appointments which both operatives said exactly the same as the operative in May 2023! Yesterday was their latest appointment and no-one arrived. Note all of those appointment I have been waiting for up to 5 hours which is hugely annoying when no operatives coming! Really disappointing and making me furious. I have made several complaints and always given a new appointment only!

Appalling service

Appalling service making WDC look like amateurs.
It took Axis 5 weeks to replace a broken sewer chamber inspection cover. The chamber was not even covered safely, a bench and wood was used, 6 visits in total to complete the job.

I was pleasantly surprised with the…

I was pleasantly surprised with the service. Gentleman sent to me was very kind and knowledgeable. He explained me all the potential issues we might face prior to starting the work. Thankfully, all went smoothly and what I thought would be a big job, was finished in just over one day. My ceiling never looked better. Couldn't be happier with the service.

Shocking levels of incompetence

Once again an Axis contractor has failed to attend my property, once again no communication from Axis to inform me of a cancellation. I have now been waiting over two weeks for my current problem to be addressed, one that you think Axis would take seriously since it involves water dripping through an electrical fitting.

I have had once bit of good news today, the housing association I rent from is ending their contract with Axis. This can't come soon enough. If any of their contractors are facing redundancy they have my sympathy as they are in the main decent people. It is impossible for me to extend the same sympathy for their office staff who are the root cause of all problems. If any of the back office staff do lose their jobs and wonder why all they need do is look in a mirror, they'll see the answer staring back at them.

Absolutely shocking

Absolutely shocking. I’ve took time off work and lost a day’s pay. Nobody turned up to repair the fault. Front door will not open. This a health and safety issue

They Don't Fix Anything, they just create more damage!

I have been a council tenant for many years and have come to realise that Axis operatives are either (a) completely incompetent or (b) deliberately sabotaging peoples' homes to create more work for themselves... either way they leave nothing but chaos and destruction behind after every visit... I recently had my bathroom taps replaced.... don't do it said my neighbour, as when they did hers they fitted them incorrectly causing a leak into the flat below... but still stupidly I allowed them to replace my tapes.... fast forward a few weeks and my downstairs neighbour is knocking on my door... there's a leak that has slowly slowly been building until it has saturated its way through the floor and the walls... immediately on the phone to Axis.... and out they come to fix the mess they made in the first place... opened up my bath panel, stopped the leak, and sealed everything back up and off they went.... as time went on there was a smell and my bathroom door became harder to close as it appeared to be swelling and my bathroom floor felt like it had a dip in it.... so back to Axis to report these issues only to be told they don't class as works that Axis would carry out.... even though their incompetence caused the leak.... and then when they came to repair the leak they didn't do anything to deal with the damage caused or to bring it to my attention... just closed my bath panel back up and went on their merry way... so now because of the time it was left, I've had to replace my bathroom door, my path panel and my entire bathroom floor due to their incompetence! honestly, if you are a council tenant it's best to just pay people privately than let these destroyers into your home!

Cancelled AGAIN!!

Two questions in the box before writing a review - What went wrong this time & How can the company improve.
First question, answer - emphasis should be on 'this time', you can virtually guarantee any repair they do, will need doing again, that's assuming anyone shows up to carry out the repair in the first place.
Second question answer - Close the company down.
As a repair & maintenance company, they are the WORST I have EVER come across. Having lived in council & H/A properties for nearly 50 years, I have experienced many different maintenance companies carrying out repairs to my homes. Axis seem to employ Jacks of all trades, I don't believe there is a craftsman among them. Every time I book a repair, it's cancelled last minute & I have to wait anything up to a month for another appointment & then I get the guy from Bodge it & Leggit!
When a job doesn't get done, they always have an excuse & it's always somebody else's fault, never theirs.
I am yet again waiting for someone to carry out a repair. I had to wait 3 weeks for an appointment & as always, they phoned to cancel the day before just prior to the company closing for the day. Now it will be yet another week before anyone carries out the repair, assuming they don't cancel again! It is a two minute job but they have nobody available. If I could do it myself I would but it involves plumbing & I'll probably flood the house, so I have to wait. Maybe I should send them the bill for all the water being wasted due to their inability to get a simple job done!
Companies usually have some saving graces but unfortunately, Axis have none. I have been waiting nearly 2 years for a couple of repairs & they keep fobbing me off with excuses, so now I've given up. It's like flogging a dead horse! If there are knock on effects from these it will be their fault, not mine. I've wasted more than enough time trying to get the work done.

The company needs a complete overhaul. They need office staff who are polite, courteous & care about customer service. They need maintenance men who are qualified in various fields, not odd job men who half the time don't know what they're doing & frankly, don't give a damn, men who aren't rejects from other companies.
Unless all H/A's refuse to renew contracts with this company, it will continue as it is, giving poor service, bodging repairs & making money hand over fist at tenants' expense (rent increases).

COMPANY IS AN ABSOLUTE JOKE.FULL OF COWBOYS & ONLY TWO OUTSORCED "INDIANS PLASTERING" COMPLETED A JOB PROFESSIONALLY TOOK OVER 14 MONTHS".
"NOW FOR OTHER PEOPLE GO CHECK OUT THEIR WEBSITE OF HOW GREAT THEY'RE".👎👎👎👎👎🤦‍♂️Waited since 20/21 for a job completed 21 June 23.

Disastrous on a high level of magnitude

This company are not very good at what they do especially for Housing Associations. They do not bother raising jobs when they are required to. They do not call to see if you can do an appointment, they probably think that people in social housing do not work. They do not have very good customer service at all and they hardly answer the phone to Southern Housing to whom they have a contract with.

They are not a superior company when it comes to maintaining properties quite the opposite actually. They do not know how to manage MIS which incorporates booking in works for residence.

They are the part of the problem as to why Southern Housing cannot complete repairs and maintain properties in a timely and professional manner.

They act very below par in what they do and unfortunately Axis does not have professionality to conduct themselves.

Axis should be banned to bid or awarded contract by all Local Authorities

Axis is contracted by London & Quadrant (L&Q) Housing for the fire safety works in Lewisham Towers, London. Their staff lacks inegrity and good work ethics - rude, defensive, abusive and unprofessional. Their work is nothing but 'cow-boy' standard and far from the threshold of 'decent housing standards". They have no respect or regard for your home. Shame on L&Q to expose their residents to such contractors, who puts money before residents safety and hygiene. We should start a petition to stop AXIS from bidding or awarded any private contract from public funding. They are disgraceful

Make millions when tenants left without repairs

Axis do work for Croydon Council, but as of June 2023 another contractor is taking over. Axis have already been paid for work in advance, yet they are now only booking repairs for dates after their contract ends. They rake in millions with no costs, and the next company starts with a deficit. And as the workmen only get paid for jobs they do, they too are losing money.

And the positives are…

They say to start with the positive, unfortunately, this company leave customers with nothing positive. It doesn’t even deserve a 1 star and yet 1 has to be given to actually leave feedback.

Having had many years experience of having Axis do repairs to my home I feel in a good position to give fair and honest feedback.

This has to be one of the worst companies I have ever experienced, the workers they send out are incompetent, rude, lazy, partial to lying and have an attitude belonging in the 1950’s!!!

The office staff aren’t any better and are incredibly rude. If you dare to complain the hostility is intense and the lies start emerging. They never have any accountability for their actions and are arrogant in their approach to customers instead of empathic and lack integrity.

Their repairs are shoddy, they do not respect your home and are rude if you ask for ID and shoe covers. ID is frequently out of date, anything from days to years…one in particular was 3 years out of date!

As others have said if you complain it makes no difference and in fact you are treated much worse.

I can honestly say that the negative reviews are all genuine because these are things many like myself have experienced. We’ve heard that the housing are looking to get rid of them and are just as fed up as we are. That day cannot come soon enough.

Worst customer service ever!!

The most disgusting and the most rudest customer service I have been came across.. it has been a month and my flat is leaking and no one has came to check it or fix it.. I hope their business come to the end as soon as possible cause there’s no any benefit for of being there if they serve no one!!!
