est price that I could find.£46 cheaper than Screwfix £99 v £53. I also ordered after 6pm and got it next day. Would definitely recommend, can't fault it.

Not a great experience
I ordered a shower extraction fan through Amazon and needed it quickly as I had some spare time to install it one weekend. However, I kept getting messages saying that the item had been delayed. After a week of waiting I called Big On Electricals who told me that they would give me a refund which I didn't want. I just wanted an item but they said a refund was my only option and that I would need to reorder the item. When I went to reorder it became apparent that the item I wanted was not available and probably never was! What a frustrating waste of time! I found an alternative (more expensive) option and rang them again to check on delivery costs as it would be free through Amazon. They told me that their delivery was free but when I went through the ordering process the delivery came up as £5!

We're really sorry for the frustrating experience you've had, especially as you needed the extractor fan in time to install it over the weekend. We completely understand how disappointing it must have been to wait for your order.
We would like to reassure you that the original fan was in stock when you placed your order and was dispatched using Amazon Shipping. Unfortunately, it appears the parcel was delayed in transit and was eventually lost, which is why we were unable to fulfil your original delivery.
We're also sorry for the confusion regarding delivery charges. While delivery may be free when ordering through Amazon, our direct website offers free delivery on orders over £50. As the alternative item you selected was below this threshold, the £5 delivery charge applied. We apologise if this wasn't made clear when you contacted us.
We appreciate that none of this changes the inconvenience and time you've lost, particularly when you had planned your weekend around installing the fan. We'll also be raising the points you've highlighted with the relevant teams to see where we can improve our service and communication.
We're genuinely sorry we weren't able to provide the straightforward experience you expected, and we appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback.
