Helpful, understanding, great planning and support
We had a big move from Kent to Devon and had outbuildings full of smallholding items, chicken runs, hay etc - in addition to the house. It was an overwhelming prospect but Darron came up with many great suggestions to relieve the pressure and help us approach it all sensibly. A big shout-out to Laurie, too, who was so lovely - particularly as I lost my Dad in the midst of it all. She was understanding and accommodating. The removal guys were charming, too! And efficient. Possibly not the cheapest service around, but for me worth every penny. Not sure how we'd have managed it all without them. Big thank you!

Highly recommended
The whole team, especially Giuseppina and Tracy were amazing, as were the lads that did all the physical move. We had a complicated move: out of a large house in a rural location into storage. Then, removal from our temporary first-floor flat in York (no lift, and car parking awkward) and storage locker to our new home near Bedford. Followed by delivery of our storage stuff to Bedford. The move was planned seamlessly and efficiently by the ladies in the office. The lads were amazing and nothing was too much trouble for them. Five star service - I would recommend them to everyone.

Quick, efficient and pleasant to deal with
Quick, efficient and pleasant to deal with throughout.
Sales team were super helpful when I called (and coped admirably with my unexpected tech issues).
Crew on the day were great - I gave them brief instructions on what to pack (and what not to) and they just got on with it. Everything was packed and clear much quicker than I was expecting. Now we just have to see how it looks when it comes back from storage!

My move from Surrey to South Wales
For my move from Surrey to South Wales, I initially used Bishop's Move as a benchmark for pricing. They turned out to be the most reasonable in terms of cost. They also had the best levels of communication I experienced in my searches for a suitable company.
Coming from a long career in the Private Hire industry as a controller and fleet manager for a large minicab firm with 300 vehicles until I moved into the chauffeur industry for the last 3 years as the fleet manager for Londons top chauffeur company, I know from experience how to deal with the public on a professional level, and a B2B level. The staff went above and beyond to ensure that my move went as smoothly as possible due to circumstances that were outside of my control. I cannot recommend Bishop's Move enough.

They arrived on time and clean and tidy... worked really hard and ensured that all we needed was actioned . great communication and support. Bishops Move.. Checkmate!
We downsized from a 4 bed detached family house to our forever home, a 3 bed chalet bungalow in sunny Stubbington!
Bishop’s Move were excellent from start to finish - big shoutouts to Jane in the Guildford branch who was my key liaison pre move, Jane is awesome & we hit it off from the get go. Stuart at the Portsmouth branch was also great pre move, as I discussed & agreed the collection of flat packed cardboard boxes & tape. Move day crew of Jules, James & Eric were fantastic throughout the day.. courteous, pragmatic & offered solutions where needed, really nice team(s) & company overall!
I would recommend Bishop’s Move to all family, friends & acquaintances! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Ps. This company should not be confused with Bishop’s Waltham Removals who do not come with my recommendation and/or positive review!!

Downsizers
We use Bishops to move from a large house into a much smaller house. They suggested spreading the move over a few days, which worked really well. They went out of their way to deliver the packing materials at a time/date that suited us. On the day of the move the team were extremely helpful and understanding. They were very patient considering the tight squeeze we had at the new place. I have used Bishops previously and would not hesitate to use them again.

Great end to end experience
Everything from the quote stage onwards was a really positive experience. The chap doing the virtual quote was really great, giving me loads of reassurance. When I had additional packing questions, the team was there to help.
On the day, the team took great care of our furniture and other items ( we were self-packed). They took full control and took the stress out of the day. They were professional and were really efficient.
I'm really glad I chose Bishop's Move.

First class service
Dom & Dan what a pair nothing to much trouble and very polite. They did a great job nothing scratched or bent only my coffee jar which seemed to be emptying pretty quick (Dom 🤣)we had a great laugh together get lads.
Always used Bishops right from my parents days when they would use no one else never any issues. Great company would fully recommend.

Very expensive.
I used Bishops move for my recent move and the office staff and the removals team on the day were absolutely excellent.
I was however concerned about the high price of the move compared to other companies I’d approached. I have used Bishops move eight times in the past and feel this time the cost was excessively high. I discovered on the day of the move that I was charged for dismantling beds, a serviced that I didn’t need. I was never informed of this service. No concession was also given for the fact that I’d provided all my own packing boxes.
I was also charged for the fact that I was moving into a third floor apartment and I was told by the removals team on the day there should’ve been three of them but there was only two person team provided.
It’s also worth stating that the lorry used on the day had known mechanical issues and did in fact breakdown on the day although when the team were leaving my new home not during my move. This could’ve been pretty disastrous to me if they’re broken down en route, surely they shouldn’t be using vehicles with known issues.

With regard to pricing, we always aim to provide a transparent and competitive quotation that reflects the level of service, insurance cover and experienced staff we provide. In terms of dismantling and reassembling beds, this is noted on our quotations as a standard inclusion rather than an additional charge. Beds often cannot be safely manoeuvred out of rooms or down staircases fully assembled, so this forms part of our usual service.
The overall cost of a move is primarily based on volume, moving days and distance. Packing materials are provided as part of the service, so using your own boxes makes only a minimal difference to the overall price - although we do appreciate the effort involved in sourcing them yourself.
For all moves, we carefully assess access and allocate crew accordingly, however, while a set team may sometimes be suggested on a moving plan, allocations can vary depending on operational requirements. We do not charge day rates based on the number of crew, but on the overall level of service provided, so the cost of your move was unaffected by this change.
Finally, with respect to the vehicle issue, we completely understand your concern. Please be assured that all our vehicles are regularly maintained and inspected. Thankfully, the breakdown occurred after your move was completed, and a mechanic attended promptly to resolve the issue.

Great Movers!
Easy to arrange. Called & then had a WhatsApp call with Tracy McCombe who sorted the quote after a video walk through of items to be moved.
Van arranged promptly & both Karl & Bromal(?), (sorry, that’s not how you spell it I’m sure), were great, pleasant & professional - they took care to cover the carpets & moved everything with care where I had no damages at all, even though we packed ourselves.
Delivery was equally good &, whilst they had everything thing in within 2-3 hours, I’m still unpacking!
Happy to rate as 5 stars where this is a great team!

A very stress free move
The process with Bishops Move was efficient, friendly and completly stress free. Moving is often an anxious time and I very quickly realised the removal and packing of my furniture was one thing that I did not have to worry about. Their charges are also very compeptive. My furniture is now in storage (which is not the first time with Bishops Move) and Im confident that it is safe and secure. I thoroughly recommend Bishops Move!
