Special Needs friendly movers!
The team from Bishop’s Move Crawley were incredibly professional and helpful when we moved last week. Quick and efficient packing, careful moving of all our belongings (and there was a lot!), really well organised delivery. They were considerate, thoughtful and friendly. We are especially grateful for how they took such care to accommodate the needs of our son with Down’s Syndrome and Autism, including coping with his support dog. They kindly offered to leave packing his bedroom until the very last minute, ensuring minimal stress for him and put up with us getting in their way. We would highly recommend them. Finally a big thank you to our particular team from the Crawley/ Tunbridge Wells branch: Jen, Rick, Dom, Erimas, Nigel and Ian.

Prices QUADRUPLE in 2 years!
I used Bishops Move in 2023 for a house move and paid £1,114.80 for the entire service. At the time, I found the experience decent enough for the price.
Fast forward to 2025, I’ve requested a quote to move the exact same items over a similar distance, and the price has skyrocketed to £4,326. That’s almost four times the cost I paid two years ago.
I understand inflation and rising costs across the industry, but such an extreme increase feels disproportionate and unjustified. Nothing about the move has changed to warrant such a huge difference.
If Bishops Move can justify this level of pricing, I’d be interested to hear it – because as a repeat customer, I was expecting loyalty to count for something.

From the office to the removal team, they are kind, helpful, thoughtful and use their own initiative, always professional and nothing is too much trouble. Unlike some removal companies they think for themselves and treat you and your possessions with care and respect, and take the stress out of the moving process with their cheerful manner and now are part of our family!

Bishops Move Devon- absolutely amazing!
Using Bishops Move Devon was the best decision we could have made. My parents were moving after 43 happy years in their home. It was a very difficult decision. However, from our first meeting with Manager Eddie we knew we’d be in the best hands with Bishops Move. Eddie meticulously pre planned everything so it would go smoothly -and was very sensitive to the difficulties of the move. Parking was awful and we had a lot of stuff. However, he thought of everything to make sure it all went smoothly. The team we had for the week Graham, Chris and Dwayne couldn’t have been better. They worked non stop, were kind, funny and frankly absolute superstars. We felt so lucky to have them and were sad to see them go. A huge thank you to them all from the Kitto family- and a big recommendation for Bishops Move Devon. You will be in the best hands!

Excellence all round
I cannot fault the experience it was so very professional but also relaxed & friendly. Day one, a Friday, 4 very helpful men arrived to pack & then 2 returned on the Monday to finish the packing & drive to my new address, Sean & I think his name was Alan, please check your records, were just splendid. Everything arrived safely & they cheerfully carried all my possessions up two flights of stairs to my second floor flat, no mean feat, the lift was not allowed for furniture. I would like to thank them very much indeed & I can heartily recommend Bishop’s Move.

One of the best removal companies ever.
One of the best removal companies I have ever used. Clean . Efficient. The removal men were polite very tidy and had a system of moving everything in complete order. They were a delight to have as a removal company. I would use them again and strongly recommend them to friends and family. Thank you for making the move easy and comfortable.

Overall poor and wouldn’t recommend
The communication was poor, the packing was shocking (upon opening boxes at the other end there were multiple damages/breakages, spilt coffee on precious books, no common sense for packing with items rolling around and jumbled up) and there were delays with the date of the arrival (an overseas move) of 6 weeks.

Hidden costs and extra stress all round
Initial impressions were good, quote sorted with relatively little trouble and happy with what was agreed. The removals team on the day were friendly and efficient.
However, we had from the beginning specifically stated the road was narrow and would not take a large lorry, but they did not realise that their quote had not factored that in. A couple of weeks before the move date BM realised they had made a mistake and demanded more money up front, having already paid the full balance prior that point. Reluctantly we paid as we did not want to delay the move but felt very annoyed as this was their error and not ours and was an unforeseen cost.
We opted for full packing service and were told that on the first day they would come to pack and the second day load and deliver to new house. However, a couple of weeks before the move we were informed that our belongings would not all be delivered until a third day which was the other side of the weekend meaning it took 5 days for the move in total - despite only moving less than 1 hour away. To make matters worse, the loading started on the first day, not the second, and items we still needed had already been taken before we realised or had a chance to instruct them of what not to take.
The whole experience was quite stressful for us as an elderly couple.

Hugely impressed
We were impressed with the team who handled our move. They conducted themselves politely and professionally and took great care to protect the floors from the wet weather and with our things. Nothing was lost or damaged and some items that were too heavy to carry or too big to manoeuvre to the places we wanted them, they carefully dismantled and then just as carefully reassembled when they arrived. This took some time but they persisted until everything was perfectly in place. And then asked us to check, in case anything needed to be moved before they left. My wife and I have moved many times between us and we both thought this was the best team of removers, and the best equipped, that we had ever encountered.

No compassion, sympathy, understanding…. Nothing but abuse
Russel who I initially spoke with was brilliant. I explained my mother’s situation that she wouldn’t be receiving money until the day of move. I was informed he would discuss with his manager if they could take full payment on the 23rd May (day of move). I then spoke with Steve he mentioned they would need a £200 deposit. I explained again to him the conversation I had with Russell. He assured me that he would speak with his boss and get back to me. I also recieved a voicemail stating the same thing.
Anyway, as the move date was approaching we received emails stating they needed payment. I spoke with a lady and explained and my sister then also telephoned and spoke with the same lady (Sarah) about providing proof that they would receive payment on the day of move. We also have emails along with voicemails as proof of conversations etc.
It was all eventually sorted and on the day of the move the x3 removal men that assisted us through this very stressful time were absolutely fantastic. We could not fault the removal men at all. They were very supportive and helpful.
However, during the day of move my sister and myself began receiving multiple emails from bishops threatening to stop the removal men unless they received payment. My sister had contacted them to state we were just waiting for the money to be released and they shall be paid the same day (delay due to bank system) anyway my sister explained all previous conversations and was then called a LIAR etc by Paul. My sister was distraught by how she was spoken to. As a family we have gone through a lot of trauma so this move was finally the end for all the trauma and a fresh start for us. We would be able to put the years of trauma and hell behind us. But instead of us finally being able to get through this day we were harassed by Andy and Megan via emails (we have all emails as proof) abused verbally by Paul from the account department and called a liar.
We were left feeling the same amount of trauma that we have suffered for years.
After speaking with Russell at the start we would have recommended the company to anyone. After all the abuse and harassing we highly suggest you look elsewhere and avoid fully.
As stated we have full evidence of emails and voicemails to back up all that has been stated and previously discussed.
I’m not looking for much of a response in the sense of an actual apology, as I’m expecting excuses and more abuse.
The only good thing was the 3 removal men. Unfortunately they work for an abusive company.

Excellent service provided, with nothing too much trouble, at a very stressful time for us. The empathetic, friendly and polite support we received was very much appreciated and the timely and hard physical work that we witnessed was carried out without any complaint! Amazing!
