Spoke to Ryan today at Blue Motor Finance. He was very polite, extremely helpful and he resolved the issues that I had really efficiently.

Blue Motor Finance Ltd financed a vehicle with active safety recalls, including a clutch-related fire risk, all publicly verifiable on the DVLA/DVSA website.
Despite clear evidence, they denied the existence of any recalls, delayed matters since the 18th of October 2025, and continued to demand payments while the vehicle was unsafe and off the road.
They incorrectly stated that agreeing to a repair removed my right to reject under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, then issued a late “final response” claiming the complaint was upheld while offering no remedy, followed by threats of storage fees to force collection.
The matter is now with the Financial Ombudsman Service. This conduct raises serious concerns around fair treatment, accuracy of information, and consumer safety.

If I could give this company zero I would. The sales process, you think Wow, these guys are great. However, I have found Blue Motor Finance’s complaints handling to be extremely poor, inconsistent, and frustrating.
On 14/12/2024 the timing chain on my used vehicle, that i’d had for only 28 weeks, snapped and destroyed my engine, leaving £10ks worth of damage. It was due no service or MOT. They were done by the dealership before I bought the car, or so I thought.
Because my complaint was raised just outside of six months, I was told that the burden was on me to prove the fault, and I was instructed to obtain my own independent mechanical report. Despite this, Blue later changed their position and arranged for their own chosen inspection company to attend. That inspection was wholly inadequate, in my opinion — the engineer was at my property for no more than eight minutes from arrival to departure, which can hardly be described as a meaningful investigation.
Crucially, the inspection failed to inspect the oil filter at all, despite this being directly relevant. When the vehicle was later properly examined, when I commissioned my own report, it became clear that the oil filter had not been changed for approximately five years and contained an after market filter not suitable for the vehicle, directly contradicting the dealership’s claim that it had been replaced as part of a service carried out at point of sale. I managed to trace the original filter back to a service in 2021. It also had more owners than advertised.
The complaint ultimately went to the Financial Ombudsman Service, who issued a final, binding decision in my favour, which I accepted on 5 December. The vehicle was collected on 23 December. Despite this, Blue Motor Finance failed to comply within the required 28-day timeframe, 5th January 2026.
As of today, I have received no confirmation of the redress amount, no payment, no account update, and their own customer portal still shows a missed payment dated 28 December, continuing to treat the agreement as live, despite having a decision on 5th December, over 3 weeks prior. It took them 18days to arrange a vehicle collection.
The shifting positions, superficial inspection, and failure to act even after an Ombudsman decision demonstrate a serious failure in complaints handling, investigation standards, and customer care.
If you are offered an inspection by Blue Motor Finance for a fault that arises outside of six months, I would strongly recommend, based on my experience, commissioning your own independent report ONLY!

Had finance on a car that was stolen. I requested an early settlement figure which was higher than the insurance would pay out. This left me with a £1,700 shortfall and had 90 days to pay the reminder in full or I could go on a payment plan. I called up on the 17/12/25 to settle the outstanding amount and because I was doing so before the 90 day's I'd save £121 and a few pence so I paid it off. I requested an email to confirm all had been paid off and that there was no further outstanding monies due which the email I received confirmed. Upon checking in on the portal a few days ago to make sure it had all been done, I noticed it was still saying I owed the £121 to which I didn't. I spoke to an advisor today who told me I'd get a refund in the next 7-10 working days! Because of the time it will take to clear, I'm going to have to use my overdraft which I will now get charged for through no fault of my own. Really disappointed and frustrated to be honest. The advisors tone suggested that It was my fault as I should have cancelled the direct debit when in actual fact, my account should have been closed when I paid the balance before Christmas.

Given my own traumatic experience unrelated to this company I fell behind for a large number of months but this company Blue Motor Finance didn't falter didn't miss a beat going above and beyond in not only supporting me emotionally ( which isn't their job ) but they did anyway understanding everything as if they were my friends they always treated me with respect and helped me get back on track now.im up to date and it's all because of them their team I can't put into words how not only professional but kind, caring and understanding I owe alot to this company it was never about money as they let me pay what I could and my well being was always clear at the forefront of they're focus THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART Blue Motor! ❤️

Their telephone answering is a perfect foil to ever being able to speak to anyone with any authority or experience. Absolutely the worst company to contact I have dealt with in years. Needless to say the issue remains unresolved.

I'm writing this review as I took out a agreement with this company and payed for 5 years never missing a payment £12000 and then find out they did a discretionary commission behind everyone's back I'm not happy have a claim against and when I email I get the same reply the fca hasnt agreed .I want this compensation asap and you can do it but playing the system .I was a good client and if i missed a payment you would be fast at saying i owe you a commission process fee for late payment .on another reveiw site you have said that you emailed me back but haven't please call me to discuss

Following my last post re the upsetting situation we where in - Blue have now made it right. I was fortunate enough to have a sensible conversation with the complaints manager Rebecca Hefford, who listened to our experience and made it right. All I can say is that she is a credit to this company and perhaps there needs to be a review of how complaints are handled initially. Thank You once again Rebecca.

Ive been with blue motor finance 5years now the only issue i had was when covid hit and couldnt pay monthly bill in full,so i asked if i could pay just a littel less and they agreed but then put a black mark on my credit score..

I got a car on 2nd of September. On the way back from collection, the engine light lit up and I informed the dealer. After 7 days without reply from the dealer I informed Blue Motor. 8 weeks and countless calls to their complaints team later, vehicle confirmed as faulty and finally they collected the car from me on 10.11.2025. During this period they told me not to drive the car which is understandable. So I had to find another car finance with more APR. Also they expect me to pay my instalments for a faulty car that already been collected. What about customer expectations? Finally, I warned them about dealer that they will stall to pay my £6.700 refund. They didn't take action and it is happening right now. There is more to this story but long story short don't work with them if you don't have to.
After 5 years(with competent and properly trained staff) you should give them a chance.

Had 2 cars both numerous problems, wanted me to pay ££££s for checks, engineer reports. Had gap cover, they cancelled it so I was £1400 out of pocket. No chancing me for it.
They are not fit dor purpose and useless

I’m extremely disappointed with how Blue Motor Finance handled my complaint.
I financed a car through a dealer who strongly encouraged me to use Blue Motor Finance. Two years later, when I tried to sell it, I found out the vehicle had been stolen, recovered, and listed as salvage — something that was never disclosed when I bought it.
Had I known this, I would never have purchased the vehicle. The car’s value has dropped significantly, and I’ve been left with a car that’s difficult to sell and worth far less than I paid.
When I raised the issue, I even provided a link with official details and pictures confirming the stolen/salvage history. Despite this, Blue Motor Finance’s final response claimed their checks were fine and that the vehicle “met all requirements.”
It’s shocking that, even with clear evidence, they refused to accept responsibility. Their decision feels unfair, dismissive, and completely lacking in accountability. I’ve now taken the matter to the Financial Ombudsman Service for independent review.
Consumers deserve transparency and due diligence — something I did not receive from Blue Motor Finance.
