Bought a car from a local garage financed by BMF, within a month it had serious issues, it went in for full engine repair etc and was off the road for 3 months which we still kept up with our payments. 10 months later breaks down again with the EXACT same warnings and issue, they sent their own engineer out to do a report, low & behold nothing to do with the original engine failure. Despite telling us it should have had a new engine in first time round. How on earth can it not be the same issue as the first time. This car is now stood on our drive sorn, this is going back to them we cannot afford 5k to get a new engine etc, it’s more than half of what the car is worth. Will never use them for finance again

I'm writing this to warn others about how Blue Motor Finance have handled my situation.
I purchased a Range Rover Evoque through Blue just 18 months ago, and since then the vehicle has suffered repeated mechanical failures - first a timing change replacement, and now a total gearbox failure. The car is now undriveable and parked on a public road in Croydon.
Blue's own "independent inspection "confirmed the vehicle is in "average cosmetic condition for the age and mileage" with no evidence of damage or neglect. Yet Blue have refused to accept responsibility or honor their own contract and the Consumer Credit Act 1974.
Despite my agreement (signed January 2024) clearly stating that I only need to have taken reasonable care of the car to exercise my legal right to voluntary termination, I was told that Blue have "changed their rules" as of April 2025 - meaning they now require me to repair the gearbox and pay for vehicle transport before I can exercise my legal right.
This is completely unlawful and inconsistent with my signed contract and UK consumer credit legislation. Blue Motor Finance never notified me of any such change, nor do they have the legal power to unilaterally alter an existing regulated agreement.
I will be escalating this matter to the CEO of Blue Motor Finance, the Financial Ombudsman Service, and will also be raising it to the Financial Conduct Authority as a breach of the Consumer Credit Act and the FCA Consumer Duty.
I am a working professional, a field sales manager, who has been left weeks without transport for my job, and I've face nothing but delay, confusion, and dismissal from their staff.
Blue Motor Finance's behavior shows a serious disregard for consumer protection law and fair treatment. Anyone considering finance with them should be extremely cautious and fully understanding their legal rights before signing anything.

I’ve had a terrible experience with Blue Motor Finance and would not recommend them to anyone. I bought a Seat Ibiza through them about a year and a half ago, and it has been nothing but problems since day one.
The car was in poor condition when it was delivered — the brake discs were worn, there was mould inside, and the reverse light wiring was corroded. The supplying garage ignored all my attempts to contact them during the 3-month warranty. When I turned to Blue Motor Finance for help, they refused to take any real responsibility.
Even though they are jointly liable under the Consumer Credit Act, they told me I would have to pay for a full inspection myself to prove the car was faulty. I’m a self-employed cleaner and single parent, and I rely on my car to earn a living and support my two children. Without it, I can’t work or make my finance payments.
I’ve had to contact Citizens Advice, Trading Standards, and now the Financial Ombudsman just to be heard. Blue Motor Finance have shown no compassion or fairness in resolving this. Extremely disappointing service.

Open a finance plan in February - nice and simple and last week dropped in a partial payment that in-line with interest rates and plan, has lowered my monthly considerably
This extra process couldn’t have been easier .. very efficient

AVOID! AVOID! AVOID!
This ‘finance company’ is absolutely shocking! I would advise anyone with functioning brain cells not to use these con artists!!
The customer service from this company is atrocious, after long waiting times you get through to your ‘case handler’ who barely knows anything about your case as each time you call you are diverted to a different person.
Said ‘case handler’ will not have any knowledge about your case, but will most certainly be able to tell you that your evidence does not suffice without even looking at your evidence. Then to add insult to injury they will tell you to send in information that you have already sent in multiple times, but due to the complete lack of regard for its customers the ‘case handler’ has not even bothered to go through evidence that you have sent in.
They will disregard ALL evidence that you send in to them, so much so that they will even disregard it from their very own Ivis mechanic sent to inspect your vehicle.
They will tell you that a fault that you became aware of a matter of weeks after purchasing your car was in fact your fault and was not there at point of sale, which is complete nonsense. Even after bringing your car back to the dealership to be ‘fixed’ and the exact same problem they supposedly fixed reoccurs Blue Motor Finance will still tell you it is your fault because ‘you have been driving the vehicle’.
They do not apply any logic to their ‘findings’ and regurgitate the same scripted responses no matter what evidence you supply time with.
Any evidence you supply they will try to discredit and argue that it does not support what your claims are as they are in bed with the dealerships that they offer finance for.
It is all a big con and the dodgy dealerships they work with are just as bad as they are.
They will refuse to honour your Consumer Rights, under The Consumer Rights Act and totally refuse to accept your rights as a consumer.
The car that I bought from Mondial Cars a dealership which you should also AVOID at all costs has broken down twice within the first few months and now is a non runner due to them tampering with the car to hide its faults.
This has been proven by Blue Motor Finance’s very own Ivis inspection done on my car, yet they refuse to help!!
The ‘case handlers’ sound like they have zero interest in your case, they repeat things as if they are reading from a script and no matter how much you stress to them the facts of your case they will practically ignore what you are saying and simply tell you they are going to close your claim.
Absolutely no point in being referred to a manger as they are as incompetent and disingenuous as the ‘case handlers’.
I have been pushed from pillar to post trying to get a resolution for a car that I’m paying for but can not drive, but this unscrupulous company does not care about that fact. All this company care about is sucking your money dry and doing everything in their power to obstruct you from getting a resolution when they are the ones that are supposed to be helping you.
There are so many negative reviews about this company and the dealership (Mondial Cars) that I purchased my car from, so it is definitely a pattern of behaviour with these companies. They are complete con artists and I have no idea how they are still operating. After speaking to the Financial Ombudsman it has become clear that they are definitely on their radar for their misconduct, so much so that a quick Google search will show that they are currently being investigated. I hope that it is only a matter of time before they are held accountable.
I have been put under so much stress, am losing money every month and have lost so much time having to write length emails to this finance company and spend long amounts of time finding out historical information about my car to support my case and all they can do is pretend to listen, disregard facts and tell you your claim is closed.
This company should not be allowed to be operating, they are complete scammers disguised as a ‘business’.
Next will ensue the generic AI generated response to my review, what a joke!

I paid more than I should of done for my finance within a month and asked if I could receive a refund and within a few working days they sent my money back. Great service would definitely recommend.

Great and efficient customer services team. I was completely impressed with Cheryl and Sophie's help! I had problem with my bank and was able to change my bank details and dates to another bank so quickly. All my worries was removed. I"m so pleased with the date 29th. You're a star Cheryl!

Legal fraud company
When l buy car break doesn’t work
I complain no body interest customer service doesnt help they want proof of funds l sent statement they didnt check. They always say send it to us. FINALLY I SOLD MY CAR TODAY because of that fraud company to escape from them .at the moment for 3 months l am waiting my refund it still doesn’t come. Please dont sign any agreement from blue

Fails to respond to emails even when they made an accusation of not wet signing a form,
They soon realise the customer support agent had not done their checks properly and indeed it had been wet signature signed.
They offer a £50 compensation yet that was over 10 days ago and I have chased this. No reply to anything.
Very poor service. Do not go with this company you’ll never get a reply or anything that they promise.

Financed a car and my agreement has a different car on it, contacted to advise sent what I was asked to and still not sorted. The car on my agreement is registered in Birmingham I’m in Scotland and the agreement started 2mth after mine, my car is now off the road due to blown turbo and head gasket and it turns out it was clocked by 50,000 miles prior to me buying and it has not outstanding finance on it!!!! No response to emails or calls!!!

Most traumatic experience of our families live dealing with this car company. We've tried to do everything by the book but apparently blue motor finance doesn't!
My farther has been diagnosed terminal ill with very few months to live so we rang customer services to explain this and be given options of course they wouldn't discuss this with me his daughter because I needed to complete a third part mandate so I did almost a month ago and all I ever get when I call is we are following this up (from 3 advisers) to no avail.
Eventually we passed data protection for me to discuss the account and my farther stated he wanted to voluntary surrender the vehicle which it was agreed all relevant paper work would be emailed through within 24 hours (of course it hasn't and this will be followed up) at this point I know the company is talking bs.
Called back today today to see what is going on and why its taking so long when customer service is apparently following this up and again they cant discuss this with me as they havent bothered to look at the 3rd party mandate form I sent of weeks ago! But they've said again for the however many times they are following this up (lies).
They offered condolences to my farther and pretend to offer support when infact they cant even do there jobs or help a dying man or family through there none existent process. Appalling is an understatement. They are causing unnecessary trauma to an already suffering family.
Cancer sucks but if your with blue motor finance its significantly worse!

Despite the generic response below, no one has contacted me. Case is now with the Financial Ombudsman.
I wish I’d have read the reviews before ever using this company.
It appears the only thing their employees are trained to do is lie. 3 weeks now without a usable vehicle and over 3 hours spent just trying to get through to the complaints department. Lied to in every conversation and rude customer service.
They use shady tactics and retain biased unprofessional inspectors to try and work their way out of paying.
Would suggest avoiding this company, life’s too short!

Dreadful company, avoid like the plague. Will tie people in loans with extremely high APR rates. In my particular example my car is mechanically faulty and currently have no method of getting to and from work. Blue motor have not provided any document regarding my options on Voluntarily terminating or settling the agreement, despite multiple attempt to get this information. Highly unprofessional and hopefully I never have the “pleasure” of dealing with them again. I would suggest literally ANY other provider

I have been financed with this company for 2 years now and i have had 0 issues from the moment i opened my finance they where helpful and answered any questions, the online portal is really helpful ,with this being the first ever car i had financed it was a big jump however they have been great , Would definitely try to choose them again once a new car is needed! i think majority bad reviews are more to do with the car dealerships rather than Blue Motor themselves.
