A really cool idea for gift giving

I think this is a really cool idea for gift giving. My method is to add everything I like for the person into my basket and then remove and refine down to a price and product combination I'm happy with. I've never actually seen the products as I've had them delivered straight to my recipients, but I really like the fact I can get them sent straight to them and even pick roughly when it will arrive according to the special occasion I'm marking. I've even considered sending myself a gift from past-me in the future!

Great selection of items

Great selection of items, boxes always look so nice for a gift and quick delivery. Accidentally put in the wrong postal code, which was in London rather than the rest of the address for Devon (which is totally my fault) but would have liked for it to maybe be flagged first before posting out.

Really happy with present and deliver for friends birthday

I ordered some dried flowers for a doft for a friend. She was delighted with them and I was really impressed with the speed of delivery and communication about delivery date/times.
There's a great selection of gifts to choose from so would definitely use this site again for other friends presents.

Review on a recent custom order

The order arrived on time and everything was in a good condition! I particularly liked the option for customising the card. It really gave a personal touch which many other gift box companies lack.

Ordered 13 days ago, no news on the parcel! Got a refund after I asked for it explicitly!

Ordered a treat for myself on 21st Dec, spent £70. An email said it will be sent out soon.
Nothing happened, except they took the money out of my account.
Asked Customer Services for info on my package on 30th Dec, no answer yet.
Seriously?!
UPDATE: I received an immediate refund, however this is not good enough! Why sell custom made gift packages you have no intention on delivering if the ROI doesn't suit you?! (Likeliest thing to be happening based on negative reviews here and my experience.) No email, nothing, you were just free to use my money as you pleased for as long as I didn't ask for it back. Didn't even offer to resend the package which is proof refund was cheaper for you than delivering the goods.

Superior customer service

There was initially a bad (fail) courier company delivery experience of my gift - tracking & neighbours on alert proved no attempt was made to deliver. Twice. Bookblock’s response was fast & best practice - immediate replacement. Very professional customer service, shout out to Paige especially. (I had been dubious because ordering from Australia & no phone contact only email.) Beautifully presented gift. I have used them before & will again.

Terrible customer services

The website has been under maintenance for a number of months, with Bookblock continuing to charge customers for a service that is unavailable! Have contacted them multiple times for a refund with no luck - if you’re thinking about setting up a a subscription DON’T!

Orders being charged but not sent out

My order has still not arrived after 16 days it still says processing, but I have been charged for it. No correspondence warning of delays or communication regarding the late order after two weeks. Appalling service.

Edit in response to the below reply: I had already emailed them with order details and received no reply. They’re sending this response to everyone to protect their reputation but nothing is being actioned behind the scenes. Still no word on when I can expect my order. If they are aware of warehouse issues causing delays to orders for weeks, there is absolutely no excuse for not letting customers know.

Not dispatched order over a week later.

Several issues with processing order and hasn’t been dispatched over 10 days after ordering. Wouldn’t recommend for gifts - left feeling quite embarrassed.

Terrible customer service and orders not being sent on time

The products are amazing but lately, customer service has been terrible. For the last two orders we've made, there have been delays and I have received no replies to my emails. The most recent order is still being processed 8 days later!! And no delivery date set. Very frustrating! We use you on a regular basis but we will now be looking elsewhere.
