Update: Well, I ended up freezing three doughnuts. I have now defrosted, reheated and eaten two of those. The first one I heated up in the oven for 6 minutes, it wasn’t great, no crispy outside or soft interior, all a bit claggy and disappointing. The second one I heated up for ten minutes, and it was just like the fresh ones were - ‘oh my god’ levels of amazing!! So if the defrosting and reheating doesn’t work for you, maybe try longer? I love these doughnuts and have now signed up for their subscription service so I get a box every month as a treat. My other half (who is not GF) has also started pinching my doughnuts as she says they’re much better than the gluteny ones she can buy in the shops lol.

Original review: Oh my god!!! My filled fried box just arrived with DPD, I followed the heating instructions exactly and the ultimate deliciousness of the doughnuts was incredible. Such a lovely light interior and a crispy chewy sugary exterior, with the perfect amount of filling - heaven!

Since becoming gluten free ten years ago I’ve really missed fried doughnuts, I shall miss them no more. I shall order them from Borough 22. I honestly can’t believe how good they are.

The ordering process was easy, the delivery was on time and communication was great. I actually ordered the baked doughnuts by mistake to start with (I’d read they were more cakey and dense than an actual fried doughnut, although I’m sure they have their place). It was so easy and quick to change my order to a filled fried box.

Right, I’m off to heat up and eat another doughnut…. I don’t see the box lasting the weekend. I’ll have to eat salads all weekend too to counteract the sugar.

OMG these doughnuts are amazing! I have to be gluten free so haven't really had a doughnut in almost 15 years! I bought the cinnamon ring doughnuts. They are freezable so I don't have to worry about trying to eat 6 in one go but I think I actually could! I can't wait to try some of the other flavours/types.

It is so good to be able to eat doughnuts when gluten intolerant! They tasted wonderful. I have frozen most, as they are an expensive treat. I hope they defrost and re-heat well. Ordering and delivery was problem free. Great to discover this product and will re-order for special occasions.

Need to get your delivery system sorted out. I have had to have money returned or delays on orders from you many times Doesn't bode well for a successful business.

Amazing , the best doughnuts

These are great doughnuts! They were packaged really well with clear instructions how to reheat. The baked ones are quite cake like but very tasty. I will definitely seek out borough 22 when I'm next in London as I imagine they will taste even better fresh!

Perfect for coeliacs!
I got my ordered box yesterday, shipped quickly and arrived 2 days after my purchase.
I got the fried box and had the sugar ring one last night and have just devoured the raspberry jam one today!
Why does microwaving them and then rolling them in sugar work such magic?! Follow the instructions included in your box and you will not be disappointed!

Such a lovely treat and I have really missed doughnuts. It’s been nearly two years since my coeliac diagnosis and they are such a scrumptious treat! Looking forward to the chocolate one and last ring one I’ll save for a treat down the down the line!

I’ve just frozen one to give to my coeliac colleague on Wednesday and I will give her the strict microwave and sugar rolling instructions.

We’ve bought from you a number of times but these items weren’t as good as previous. Very hard despite cooking them in the oven as instructed. Normally as I say really good gluten free option. They arrived part frozen still so not sure if that’s the reason.

Love, Love, LOVE. I can’t tell you how long I’ve been searching for a decent gluten free doughnut. These really blew me away! Cant wait for the next occasion to purchase. Yum!

Really disappointed and I hate to be the one to give a negative review. We were so excited to receive our doughnuts- there is me and my 2 children aged 9 & 5 who are all coeliac in our house. My children get so upset by not being able to eat doughnuts so I treated them to some Borough 22 doughnuts, they obviously chose the ones with the icing and decoration on top. When they arrived the smell coming from the box was amazing however when we opened them some the doughnuts were a a little deformed and there was icing all over the box- it didn't look like they'd been handled very well in transit which isn't Borough 22's fault. On tasting them they did taste good and tasted like how I remember a normal doughnut used to taste. However they were so unbelievable dry and stodgy which was so disappointing. There is instructions on how to reheat the doughnuts however having the ones with all the icing and toppings just isn't doable as they all melt! I really am gutted as I love this brand and everything they stand for.
Update: I have responded to the owners reply to this review twice and they have ignored me. Won't be purchasing or getting in touch again

The cinnamon doughnuts were chewy and I couldn’t taste any cinnamon.

My 13 yo daughter has multiple food allergies and coeliac disease. Finding lovely sweet treats is not easy however Borough 22 popped up on my Insta feed and I was intrigued. Suffice to say I've just ordered her a 2nd box. She's a very happy customer.

I came across this doughnut company on Instagram, just by chance, and thought I'd give them a go. As someone with multiple food intolerances, finding snacks/desserts I can eat safely, is often a minefield! I bought a box of plain, glazed ring doughnuts and was not disappointed. They were fresh, light and flavourful. I will absolutely be back for more!

Super excited about the GF fried donuts but unfortunately they didn’t taste nice IMO. V typical GF taste, compact and dough-y. Would not recommend. Needs to improve on taste and texture - maybe smaller works better for GF? Idk.

There is nothing that Ryan cannot do with his doughnuts! Every time I think that the flavours cannot get any better Borough 22 comes and impresses us with bigger and better.
They travel well in the post and are well packaged.

It's exceptionally hard to find safe foods that are also tasty when you've dietary requirements and am grateful that I came across this wonderful brand. You can't tell that they are free from so many allergens, even my 'muggle' friends can't tell the difference.

Off to buy some more.
