Cancellation Rip Off
I cancelled my property insurance as I had sold my flat - I had used about four months of cover. I understood there would be a cancellation charge and wasn't really expecting a refund, but now I have to pay them extra as the value of the remaining policy is less than the £75.00 fee. How come I have to pay more for four months cover than twelve? I should just have kept quiet.

Query handlers answered all of my question and helped with my query amazingly fast and with no issues or confusion. They deserve a payrise for their swiftness and for how smooth and easy they made the whole process. Awful insurance experience
You advised you were no longer able to cover vans, you then told me you couldnt cover me after 01/03/25 you refused to work with autoglass to repair my windscreen nor answer your phone to advise who you work with! and now your awful website will not let me log in or reset my password. I need to cancel the insurance and claim my refund and i am not able to do this. Absolutely shocking company would give zero if possible.

Cancelled my policy due to a NON fault…
Cancelled my policy due to a NON fault minor accident 2 years prior not been advised -this action has caused lots of issues since . All for an accident not our fault

Clarified all relevant detail supported by email confirmation with a very polite and efficient telephone enquiries operative I purchased cover. However shortly before a European trip I received a phone call demanding another £50 based on incorrect assumptions . This was fiercely contested and eventually accepted by the caller. However a demand for £15 was substituted, for what I have no idea. However being more concerned about my EU cover I accepted the additional fee but it left me with grave concerns.

CANCELLATION FEE RIP OFF.
My wife is named as second driver on our fully comprehensive car ins policy. Now my wife who is 63 years old and has been a nurse for over 40 years has left her job and is now unemployed. I rang Brightside to inform them of changes to my policy and one being the employement status of my wife. I was told my policy will either now have to be cancelled or my wife removed as a named driver because the insurance company used don't insure unemployed drivers. That in itself can be taken as fair but to be told I have to pay a cancellation fee of £149:15 to Brightside to cancel my policy is a disgrace. I have found insurance elsewhere.
