First time customer
First time customer. It will definitely be the last. Sent me several emails asking for vehicle check details. I replied yet they would send the same email again the following day. It came from a no reply address so it was deliberately difficult to respond to. They then cancelled my insurance with same day notice which, once I’d actually opened the email, left me driving an uninsured car for 24 hours. They refunded 77% of the premium when I’d only had 15 days of cover. A shower of charlatans , avoid them like the plague

A broken car insurance quote price guarantee
A very unsatisfactory car insurance quote experience with this company. First of all their quote via the MoneySupermarket website didn't include the specified legal cover (something I've complained to MoneySupermarket about). And then when I went to progress the quote online a few days later it could not be retrieved despite Brightside's stated guarantee that the price would remain unchanged up to the insurance renewal date. Following an unhelpful response from their chat line with redirections to incorrect phone numbers, it started to become evident to me that Brightside had suddenly ceased offering car insurance. This meant that I had to seek new quotes which being later that the optimum renewal time proved to be quite a bit more expensive.
Thanks for that response but I was given no indication of that option at the time. On the contrary, the quote was not retrievable online and after long waiting periods on your chat line I was just given telephone numbers to call. The first number was invalid and the second one, Swinton Insurance, said the'd never heard of Brightside! As I said, a very unsatisfactory customer experience. I am now insured with a competitor.
