Shocking customer service. Started out cheap, then raised our costs dramatically and kept repeating it, trying to block us from leaving. Please avoid!

Very knowledgeable and explained everything clearly and gave me some information on EV tariffs as I'd requested

Phoned budget energy for my mother to get a cheaper tariff, the girl on the phone was more than helpful and talked me through everything, then she put my mother on a cheaper tariff, was so easy, I had great help, thank you budget energy

Budget Energy seem to provide the most cost-competitive electricity in NI and their staff are very pleasant and helpful.
However, I was surprised that I couldn't access fundamental information on their website over several days to get a new tariff. I shouldn't have to chat to their nice customer service staff to do this.

Budget energy were fine until I decided to move to another provider. I received a letter saying I had to pay for leaving early which was a mistake on my part as I went about 1 week early. Then I received a letter saying if I didn’t pay they would forward to a debt collection agency. I phone budget to be told don’t worry we will take it from your final bill, so why the threatening letter. I won’t be back and neither will family or friends.
