Almost impossible to use for previous student renters. I don't pay bills, I don't pay council tax currently and the system won't take anything else to accept proof of address. Needs a hand signed copy of employer letter- digital copies (which most companies do btw) is not accepted. Staff seem stuck to a system which just doesn't work for previous students and its jumping through massive amount of hoops for no apparent reason. Frustrating process with limited support and seemingly no connection to the landlord.
easy to use. but now i feel you should have bit less amount of trouble to the customer for the review as this is too long process for a review comment

My guarantor works a senior role at a major financial institution. They rejected the first employment reference for not being senior enough. So we got someone more senior. Rejected again. "The referee is not in a position to supply one."
At what point is someone senior enough for Canopy? Do we need a letter from the CEO of multi-trillion dollar corp?
The whole process is friction stacked on friction. Vague rejections, no human review, no common sense.
Best part? In my own case, after I messaged support to complain, they just dropped the requirement entirely. Didn't need it anymore.
So the verification that kept rejecting legitimate references was optional the whole time? You just needed someone annoyed enough to push back?
That's not due diligence. That's a broken process pretending to be rigorous. If you're a landlord paying for Canopy, know that your referencing provider rejects people until they complain, then waves them through anyway.
Had some initial UI issues with uploading documentation, however was assisted well by available customer support agents (primarily Erin) who supported me to fulfil my RentPassport

I have called twice of two days and both times have been incredible. Leah is an angel!! She was so helpful and calming that made all my enquires resolved in no time. Highly recommend this platform and highly recommend calling if you have any issue, and pray you get Leah!

Leah was absolutely fantastic in helping with my daughter’s checks before moving into her new apartment. Nothing was too much trouble and she dealt with it efficiently and professionally.

soo many integrations, does not link into your bank account well unless its uk based it seems, alot of the application seems to have bug like you would input the data save it then it would revert back again ( happend like 3 times). The refencing takes a bit of time but thankfully a lovely lady called Leah helped me in the end and that was for sure the most helpful efficient and useful part of the whole process.
Swift and effective response to a technical issue my landlord experienced in submitting a reference. The team member who dealt with the problem was courteous, efficient and professional. My landlord was contacted by telephone and the whole issue was successfully resolved in less than 10 minutes.
Excellent service.

Incompetent people running this process
The software is glitchy! The same phone number not being accepted gets accepted after multiple tries :/
So frustrating!
Wastes a lot of time.
My partner and I have gone through such a difficult time dealing with guarantors, estate agents, the lot of it. But thanks to LEAH we have successfully had all of our references go through. She was an absolute legend for helping us and we can't thank her enough since she was the final stepping stone we needed to securing our dream flat.
