MOT advisory notes come up again. Glue, and other means will be used to put together faulty and dangerously close to illegal vehicles.

If enough people put together a report against these to the serious fraud office then that’s another step for exposing their practises.

Damaged goods for illegally inflated prices. Close to 10x more than the base APR set by BOE.

They’ll treat customers like their heads are in the sky inhaling jet fuel.

It’s surprising that apparently a car sales company is not accredited to a motor trade membership scheme.

Worst company to deal with. Ordered a car, website says 48 hour delivery, complete lie. Had to pay 2 extra days car rental as car was not delivered on a Saturday as promised & came on the Tuesday. Alin the sales guy told me lies about car being in garage for MOT when in fact it was in their pound. Didn’t get MOT’d until the Monday, then couldn’t get a trailer so took delivery on the Tuesday with zero petrol. Couldn’t even start the car as kept cutting out. Had to get a mate to drive to the petrol garage & return with a can. Absolute disgraceful service ALIN, Mo & the sales people tell so many lies about the car, delivery times etc. worst dealership I’ve ever dealt with.

Great communication, excellent customer service, friendly warm reception and attentiveness.

The only reason I have not given a five star review is that I could not pick up my car at the arranged time due to a battery error that appeared whilst they gave the car a final check.

In Car Planets defence, they couldn’t risk handing me the keys and the car fails me on my way home. It does prove that their cars are thoroughly checked over.

They’ve kindly halved the cost of having my new car delivered to my home as a way of apologising for the inconvenience. Therefore, I would highly recommend using Car Planet.

Customer service is really poor and they're not truthful with customers treating us like fools.

I arranged pickup of a vehicle it wasn't ready and I was prepared to wait, after a while I noticed tge car hadn't moved so suggested I could cone back the next morning so they'd have tge time to get the car prepared, they assured me it was getting done ASAP.

When I arrived the next morning it was still in the same location nobody touched it so I asked if this would be a priority, again they said yes it'll get done now and apologised. After waiting around 45 minutes I went outside to check and it was still there, I asked why they told me it was being moved immediately and started the receptionist thought it had I asked to speak with someone and she said they'd be along to see me I waited another 20 minutes and still nobody came all this time staff were wandering around.

I checked again and the car still hadn't moved so I finally lost patience and said I wanted my deposit back and I'd go elsewhere then someone started to talk to me but instead of apologising he just said deposit was non refundable which I wasn't happy about he then started to tell me it would only take 20 minutes to get the car ready, this was not truthful he then put me onto a manager to smooth things who now told me 30-40 minutes after negotiating with me I got complimentary extras but still took around 1 hour 30 minutes to get the car ready.

I arrived at 10am to pick up a car and eventually drove off around d 2pm

Staff need to be trained in proper customer service after you buy the car and not telling me what he thinks i want to hear.

This will be my one and only transaction with this company (repeat customers should be a priority for the longevity of the business)

Worse experience buying a car i have ever gone thorough. I am very surprised this place is still running.

I contacted car planet on their website. Someone called me most days to ask what car I was looking for and what it was I was looking for.
I went in today and purchase a car. I changed my mind 2/3 times and the sales women went and got the keys everytime. Her name was Belinda Villa Rodriguez. She answered any questions I had she answered and if she didn’t, she asked someone else.
They were all professional and helpful.
They were able to listen to me and help me within my price range and even found me a better quote for my finance.
I only got it today so no negatives yet. I am sure if I did, they would help.
They helped every aspect today and like I said. Changed my mind a few times and Belinda really helped be realistic and looked at what I needed.
I walked out the same day with a car .

The Salesman Yasin was very professional and helpful. There was no hard sell of the ancillary items but clear information was freely offered.
I will reserve full judgment until the deal is completed next week. So far the experience has been a good one.

I called and was able to come and see the car on the same day. I was assisted by Mo Eka who came on not only one but two test drives with me. He took time to explain the different options on how to buy the car +/- warranty and put me at ease. I’d buy from here again if I needed another car.

I came to the Barnet branch twice in the space of a week. On the first trip to view the cars, at the help desk it was pretty clear to me that the receptionist was not impressed that I was there to view the products. She wasnt remotely welcoming but I turned a blind eye and got on with my task at hand. On my second trip to test drive the cars that I personally booked in. I was greeted in the most lackluster fashion by Jordan. Who seemed to think it was more appropriate to maintain his road man image than be welcoming to someone who's planning to put commission into his pocket. As Jordan took me and my partner to another room and not to the cars that I had booked to test drive. He questions weather I'm there to purchase a car today, in turn making me feel like that I have to purchase a car to please him and make him friendly in this process. He takes me to his desk to then proceed to question weather I liked the cars I have booked in. I had done extensive work on the cars I wanted to purchase and knew very well why I had selected them. When passing this information onto Jordan he proceeding to question my decisions like I was insane and I was wasting his time. When he eventually gave in, he proceeded to give off an attitude of a man who felt like his time was wasted. Again lacking the knowledge and foresight to be polite to a customer. Am I not allowed to make my own decisions about the car I want to purchase? Is life easier for everyone if I buy the car Jordan prefers?

It's utter nonsense and not a method of salesmanshipin any shape or form.

I ask Car Planet how they expect people to part with thousands of pounds when they employ people like that. I have been to your shop twice and received no customer service.

Not to mention that Jordan has been mentioned in previous complaints before. Sort yourselves out and sort him out

Staff was helpful and courteous.
Car was delivered when promised.
Unfortunately there was no Basic Owners Manual, to explain basics like required tyre pressure, how to programm the radio etc.
This is usually the minimum a new owner would expect.

Appalling aftersales service – they would not even collect a rejected vehicle

My experience with Car Planet has been absolutely unacceptable.

I purchased a Volvo S90 from them via distance sale. The vehicle was delivered on 9 July 2026 and I exercised my right to reject it shortly afterwards.

From that point onward, what should have been a straightforward vehicle return became more than a month of unnecessary chasing.

I repeatedly contacted Car Planet by email and telephone asking them to arrange collection of the vehicle. Many of my calls and emails went unanswered. When I eventually received a response from their Aftersales Manager, I was simply told that they were still “reviewing the matter internally” and that they could not provide me with a firm collection date.

Meanwhile, the vehicle remained parked, unused and continuously available for them to collect.

My finance broker, CarMoney, investigated my complaint and formally upheld it, confirming that the finance agreement would be unwound.

Even after this decision, Car Planet still failed to arrange collection.

The situation reached the ridiculous point where CarMoney themselves emailed me on 19 August stating that, because they had received no response from the dealer, they were instructing an independent third-party company to collect the vehicle and take it to auction.

Think about that: the finance broker has effectively had to step in and arrange removal of a vehicle that Car Planet should have collected themselves.

Throughout this delay, my £3,100 deposit has remained tied up, the finance agreement has remained unresolved, and I have had to spend a completely unreasonable amount of time making calls and sending emails simply trying to get Car Planet to take their own vehicle back.

I have retained the full email correspondence and chronology, including:

* Car Planet acknowledging the issue but refusing to provide a collection date;
* repeated requests from me for the vehicle to be collected;
* CarMoney’s final response upholding my complaint; and
* CarMoney subsequently confirming that they were arranging third-party collection because of the lack of response from the dealer.

I am attaching relevant correspondence so potential customers can judge the level of aftersales service for themselves.

Buying a car is the easy part. The real test of a dealership is what happens when something goes wrong.

Based on my experience, Car Planet’s aftersales handling has been extremely poor, slow and unnecessarily stressful, and I would not purchase another vehicle from them.

The process was very smooth and i got my car within hours. Staff is very professional specially dominik who helped us understand everything easily.
